Hello! My name is Andrew (The Arcade Pilot)! I'm a decently fast driver & acceptable sim pilot! I also collect racing, flying, & retro games and work in the video game industry! I used to play Ghost Recon competitively. However, now I just do my best to achieve high scores and fastest lap times!

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Demo is Not a Great Experience
As a reminder, this is an early build (Demo) that's not going to be representative of the final product. However, learn, learn, learn from this because this experience is unacceptable for the player. I wish I could play disconnected from the server to avoid all of the disconnection issues. That would solve everything, although I did hit some performance problems to as you saw. What a horrible first time experience though. :(

in high settings i have drop fps to 45 :( on rtx 4070
Game performs like dog shit lol. I have a top tear gpu, and it struggles to even hit 100fps at ultra settings @1400p.. The game play is kinda trash to. Also how can they only have like 15 rims to pick from lol
I would expect slightly better performance for the demo, especially with high end hardware, but it's important to remember that often times a lot of the optimization is done in the final weeks before the full launch. Demos will also be limited in content and not indicative of the final product. But still, this isn't a great experience due to the connectivity and always online issues I was constantly seeing. They probably would have been better off calling this a beta test rather than a demo...not a good experience.

Playing it on actual hardware. Thankfully it's backwards compatible on Xbox 360 though.

Okay. As much as I love the legend that is the Gruman F-14 "Tomcat", in this game the only pick is the F-18 "Hornet". This is because it's green weapon (Vulcan) is special, stronger version than it is when you use it with the other 2 fighters. No other fighter has a main weapon that is more powerful with that particular fighter. Also, the Vulcan is THE ONLY weapon to Use. There rockets (yellow) and the burst of missiles (blue) are worthless in both rate of fire and damage out put categories.
Hi. I know this post is a few years old now but I'd like to know how is it that you disable Ansel. I've tried many fixes I've found on the internet but none of them have worked for me. I've tried disabling Ansel from the exe found inside the Nvidia folder but when I open it again the changes aren't saved. I tried deleting the Ansel folder altogether but that didn't work either. I really would love to know how to disable Ansel or another fix for the stuttering cos it's really anoying when fighting big enemies or several enemies and it's not enjoyable anymore. I've got a gtx 1060 gb card, a core i7 4770 proccessor and 16 gb ram. Thanks in advance.
