But, it's not an easy swap at all, a lot of modifications need to be made to the firewall (you have to smash it upwards or cut it for clearance), special adapters, custom intakes, ect. I would not recommend it. If you wanna stay mostly stock, throw a bolt on whipple 2.3 or 2.9, get a good tune, and let it ride. Whipples are very simple to bolt on, the gt500 blower not so much lol.

Everything. Fully forged bottom end, ported/built heads, cams, ect. Set up and rated for 1200hp, the stock blower is the limitation here, for sure.

@@LandonsBuildz 485hp/560tq is pretty good for the little stock blower on 93. Stock blower is a small, heat pump, and has its limits. Plus, they only make 330-350whp stock, so that's 135-155 more hp I was able to squeeze out of the stock blower 🤷‍♂️

@@adambaker7451 Ford made Lightnings well before the current EV and they had a completely different purpose. The Ford SVT Lightning was two generations of performance oriented, muscle trucks. 1st Gen Lightning (1993-1995) came with a 351 Windsor V8, 2nd Gen (1999-2004) with a 5.4 Supercharged V8, along with other performance additions. They were a very limited production, with special badging/build numbers, and all purposed for collecting/racing.

14psi give or take. Also, hopefully you did an upgraded maf as well. 6lb pulley will peg a stock maf (especially the 99 since it's smaller than later years), when a maf pegs, the motor will blow up.

@@DebtLife_Projects thanks for the info, and yeah i have a 2600 sct maf, 60lbs injectors on e85, CAI, and a built tranny, haven’t been dyno yet, what numbers should it make a rough estimate??

IAT is pretty much at ambient when moving/doing a pull, IAT2 (after blower/boost) is between 140-150 at the end of a full, long pull, at 23psi. Back to back pulls doesn't heat soak either, 140-150 every time.

@DebtLife_Projects how quickly do your IAT'S come down after a run like 90' and run it upto 150 you said then back down to ambient??

@@drick2659 I would need a lot more info, there's a lot of variables here. Like what plugs/what are they gapped to/what coils did you use? Did you confirm no leaks with a smoke test? When's the last time you pulled the supercharger off and cleaned the intercooler? Cleaned maf? Cleaned/replaced iac valve? Replaced O2 sensors? Ect.

First and foremost I really appreciate your response. First thing truck idles perfectly fine in revs perfectly fine when not under a load. New plugs tr6 32 gap. New cops. Motorcraft. Mass air is new. I've never replaced o2s. Did replace all the PC hoses even to the turkey pan. Shutters and Misses severely under a load it would probably have a hard time out running a Honda Spree. I replaced the porcelain relay that kicks the pump to 12 volts. I believe it's lean.? And forgot to mention it throws absolutely no codes.

There are zero vents in this garage, no windows, no drier vents through the concrete block, nothing. Thus why I went up and out the soffit, which all these years later still works great.

I would personally go whipple. Can make plenty of power and reliably. Kenne Bells are ok too, but make more heat, so take alittle more effort to make right.

If you have a built motor, with the proper supporting mods, then yup. Kenne Bells make good power on these, with the right setup.

There's an elbow with a hose that comes from the back/bottom of the lower intake manifold. Take the hose off, elbow out, and put a 3/8 npt plug fitting in the lower intake to block it off. Plenty of threads on Lightningrodder with all the steps/pics, google "Ford Lightning turkey pan mod/delete"

Stock gasket and its reuseable, as long as your careful, and don't bend it. I've reused mine quite a few times now, no issues.

I thought about the garage door thing too, seemed like a pain though ( I open and close mine often). What I did here, has been working great for years now. Zero issues, set and forget
