A kid on my baseball team got offered a suite for the Tigers game so he invited my whole team. I went and the tigers won 2-1 on a walk off single by Quintin Berry.

played against the rangers in this game, porcello was really dealin, but my offense couldnt seem to get hits. they put some nice swings on the ball, but not much in the way of results.

Why haven't the current Detroit Tigers ownership, taken this great Tiger fight song, and modernized it a bit, make it generic for any team, season, or year, and play it as their FIGHT SONG! They are still playing and living off the 1968 Tigers, GO GET'EM TIGERS . But because this was for 1984, and the fans of TIGER STADIUM, this special song will always hold a place in my heart! BLESS YOU BOYS!

@@MSUSPARTANS1973 he patted .246 with 5 home runs 16 RBIS in 1984 that isn't excactly sucking. it is about average for a solid major league player in the mid 80s, and as ou said, he was good at fielding. ,

@@mhedstrom oh ok, i guess it depends on birthday but yeah i was in 4th and 10. but also i recall this was the first year i really got into baseball so it really was amazing. i was even able to get WJR760 on my walkman up at summer camp on lake charlevoix somehow, staticy but got ernie harwell and paul carey in somehow sitll for those couple weeks lol

dude the reds got the best rotation in the central cueto latos leake bailey then arroyo and they might take out bailey to put in chapman thats 3 of the best pitchers in the NL at the top of the rotation
