I would say there is a bit of hype - simply due to the scarcity of the watch. That having been said - it is one of the few watches I really took notice of on someone’s wrist. Others include: IWC pilot, a beautiful Patek, a Fifty Fathoms. A Royal Oak. So it’s in good company.

Both have different purpose, a Yacht master basically is NOT a diving watch, The Sub is, plus the extension size on the Sub is for a diver to be able to wear it on the gloves, and that’s why the Yacht master is more luxurious than the Sub.

It is mind boggling how this watch is not more popular than it is, because I have never seen anyone outside of myself that has owned one. I see try-hards all of the time with Submariner's but never a Sea Dweller.

I just ordered the rose gold wimbledon from my AD. I love the rose gold against the green . It will be a dress watch more than a daily for me. I've got a batman and a sea dweller for daily wearing and a Chronoswiss Opus in solid yellow gold on a brown leather strap for super formal events.

I see that these are coming in at about 12K . Is that a good price in the United States? I have an 8 inch wrist, so this would work great. I've never owned an expensive watch and I'm looking at this is my first purchase. I know it's a big watch, and I know it's heavy, but I have worn heavy watches with no issues.

WhyÉ The 911 has been proven driven on pulbic roads and on race tracks ...by amateurs and proès....whereas as the Sub has never been 'deep diving' '...or diving at all except maybe in a public pool. :)) Ièd be looking at the 126610 41mm....allegedly has an anti-reflective coating...FINALLY. But not yet confirmed....still looing into this fact. Itès just BETTER if a watch DOES have an Ar caoting if to reduce the reflections at all...better to have...Sea Dweller as it...or the most recent itteration..

The full rose gold is amazing the two tone looks like the incomplete version the cheap version.

I'll pick this over the sub any day. Why pick a ceramic bezel when you can have a precious metal platinum bezel.

I think I'm leaning towards this over a starbucks submariner.

Have had this watch for several years now. I also have a 1987 Submariner 5513. Both are great watches. I put a Rubber B band on The Air King and wear it alot. I love it because it is different and interesting. Love the colors on it. I know Rolex fan boys don't like the new Air Kings but frankly I don't care.

All those watches looks great but I'm careless and scratch them easily.

Like you, I would opt to buy both black and blue Black Bay 58s. Both are too gorgeous to be left out 😁

I had earlier purchased Datejust41 fluted bazel with Jubilee bracelet in steel and rose gold in 2016 when it was just introduced; I had to dispose off in 2021 during COVID-19 meltdown crisis; and again I have purchased same steel and rose gold with Jubilee bracelet with wimbedon dial datejust41 in Oct-2023 from a botique in Hyderabad. I really love it and wear it all the time.

The bracelet adjustment is for wet/dry suits which vary in thickness depending on conditions & depth.

I love the size, case design, polished cnetre links on the bracelet and the beautiful blue dial...but the bezel if fugley and the red seconds hand looks cheap and doesn't look serious enough. It's a shame. The Sub just ties together more nicely and is more versatile, especially the newest "41mm" version in black.

I like 116659SABR blue sapphire submariner better than the Diamond Daytona with all the girly colors all the celebrities wear. I wish the blue sapphires were the same brighter color throughout the watch. Not a fan of the darker blue sapphire that looks black at certain angles. I’ve seen this watch for sale for $144k

Hearing so much hype around the sub I was very discouraged trying it on. Thought it was boring and extremely over priced. The sea dweller is the exact opposite, and the watch I wear everyday.

I have one and love it. I have owned 3 subs and I like this much more. it has more wrist presence. I always felt that the sub was too small and I do not have large wrists...6 3/4". It just fits me better and does not look too large... for me the 43mm size is the sweet spot

Yacht Master in rolesium with slate dial, 40mm is my pick!

Just got mine yesterday and I absolutely love it. I have a 16.51 cm wrist and it wears perfectly on my wrist.
