The first bale he made it looks like he brought in some grass from the last field that he baled. It may heat. The rest of the hay looks good should be ok if baled loose.

Get it wrapped

You could look at giving them a spray with MCPA when you top them first next year. Once they come back green should check them for a bit make life essier. Their a plauge have the same issue just cant help it on heavy ground.

U need sunshine to make hay and there was no sunshine.that first bale was a bale of dung cause it will be heating like mad.an awful waste of time and money that it wasn't wrapped.doubt the horses will eat that stuff.

Wrap it up.,rain for hay ,must be a new formula. Yell have to leave them bales out until mid September.

Nice odl International tractor. You need to rent that land for 10-15years and then drain it. Once drained, treat it to a good lime dusting subject to and acid soil test. Add plenty of farm manure and more lime as required and those reeds will disappear!
