It’s gross and offensively abusive how close developers stack houses next to each other they did same thing where I live. Bought 2 acres with a small 60 year old house back in 2019 for 85,000 and spend 20,000 cash to remodel it ourselves. A neighborhood across the street started devolving right after that. I can fit 10-12 equivalent sized lots on my property if I wanted too. There’s almost 200 houses in that neighborhood and they are all selling for $280,000-$300,000 now. And actually when they first started selling back in 2019-2020 the asking prices were $180,000-200,000 for the same homes. $100,000 in inflation value. Insane. My house note is $350 a month plus insurance. I looked up price of the note on a house across the street and it was around $1800-2000 a month. No thanks, I’ll pass. My property value has since almost doubled since we bought 5 years ago.
