6.5 PRC Elite Precision Rifle Build
My first time building a rifle from the ground up! Allow me to do a walk around and show you all the trick things that made it so worth the 7 months wait. Next I will be breaking it in the right way and building the load with a proper ladder test. Shout outs at the end are not paid endorsements.

Curious to see what the 6.5 does, so far from what I’ve seen, any fuel tank behind it doesn’t make much difference, I think a 270 is a quicker killer I just haven’t seen the same results from the 6.5’s that gained so much attention in the magazines. Good for shooting paper, probably limited to deer (From my experience as a part time guide.)

Thank you for the feedback. We didnt do as much spot and stalk I guess because we wanted to see the actual hunting and not the walking (there was a LOT!) but I do get what you are saying- also. I (Victoria) did not want the traditional stalk style music most Africa hunt videos have but I realize how music can over power the actual video. We are going back in June 2024 and are going to attempt to film a lot if it ourselves since the cost of having one like this made is SO expensive. Will keep this stuff in mind when we put it together. Thanks for watching!

I am looking to move up caliber just because I want to do more long range and my .308 is solid up to 500 yards max for ethical shots. But under 300 yards its lethal on all but the dangerous game. The black Wildebeest and Hartebeest were terrible shots from me and I am a good shooter (I practiced off sticks for a year) but found out that my wind Touret had been knocked out of alignment so I was LEFT by about 3' at 200 yards... My husbands rifle worked with a sable; another single shot. If you are an African hunter, you know the concession would not allow too low of a caliber. We care deeply about the ethical hunting. Great video, I noticed on your wife’s ar the shells are flying back when ejected, on my I mine I went with a lighter buffer and actually got the shells to eject exactly 90° from the gun, which is the best blow off from the gas to light of a buffer the shells are being directed towards the front of the gun, too heavy, the shells will be ejected to the back I usually take a few different buffer weights to the range and really tune it. Something to read up on. Also recently brought one of those shell catchers from Amazon for like 15 bucks so I don’t have to pick up the shells from the ground.

It’s not a park; it’s 60,000 acres that belongs to the concession. The hole is because at one time that animal was part of the breeding portion. I know it was weird to me too. There are no “wild” animals in SA. All are property of someone or some property. Otherwise they would all be poached and possibly end up extinct. It’s such a different setting than hunting in the US! If you have ever seen what wild animals do to each other - or seen animals starve to death because of overpopulation- and you still dont understand why we control populations this way.. there is nothing we can agree on. The animals we harvested were no longer part of their herds and would have died by being eaten by others or starved to death- a horrible inhumane way to die. And the people in South Africa who - without the money from hunting- would ALSO starve to death. Did you see the donation we made to the charity while we were there? Did you know the meat from those animals fed 31 people for over a month? What have you done to help your fellow human while you cry about the animals? Not quite sure why you would watch or comment on a video that doesnt have anything to do with your life- I dont go on VEGAN websites and criticize the fact that we have eaten MEAT long before we began agriculture and we have teeth designed for eating meat AND we are FAR MORE humane to hunt your own meat than to eat processed beef or chickens where the animals live their life in captivity for the sole purpose of being slaughtered. @@marishcadelvisi2357 too bad you aren’t educated enough to know that we hunted and because of it 31 people ate for over 30 days. We don’t just hunt for gratification and let the animal go to waste. You should ask questions instead of attack people you don’t even know or comment on things you know nothing about. And more education: conservation requires hunting if you knew what would happen to these animals if they are not harvested; the brutal deaths in the wild and near extinction but proper management has brought hundreds of species back. Go make a salad, buy a piece of meat at the grocery store because you think it’s “ethical” and wallow in your ignorance. We also hunt at home and have a freezer full of venison, bear, elk and sheep. People like you disgust me. You judge from afar and virtue signal what a good person you are. How many people have you fed this week? Yeah, that’s what I thought.

what is she talking about when she said they were stalking up on the spring buck? You driving around glassing and then walking a few yards to shoot. This isnt hunting, your Just harvesting animals.

If we showed all the stalking we did it wouldn't be a very fun video and it would be hours and hours long (we were there for 10 days and this is an hour video). There were at least 3 times we stalked the black springbok and they got spooked or we couldn't get a shot. That and the red hartebeest I had several times I was up on the sticks and the shot didn't present itself or it changed. There's just only so much we could get in the video, so I can understand why it would seem we were just driving and hopping out of the truck but I can assure you there was a lot more to it. Except the Golden; I will admit that one was pretty easy. We plan on doing a lot more hunting videos- what do you suggest to be able to show you a more in depth part of the hunting experience? I def would appreciate feedback and thank you so much for watching! ~Victoria
