Click turning is a good option for those new to VR (or just starting with stationary games where your POV doesn't move around, such as Synth Riders and MOSS), but as you start to get your VR legs you can try to start turning those comfort settings off (teleporting or click turning, blinders, etc). VR really puts you IN the game world, but sadly folks don't get that until they get in the headset themselves.

I love the PSVR2 but it's my first headset so I'm not sure about other option. I'm looking forward to the PC support in about a month.

Re8 is incredible in psvr2! Really wonderful to have the game often 20 bucks.. and then having vr mode for no extra charge.. they could make their sales only 39$ and it'd still be worth it

The media REPEATEDLY dumps on PSVR, and it's SO incredible... We need more hybrids like RE8, RE4 (play RE4 -- it's other worldly), and GT7 (also among the top-tier gaming experiences of ALL TIME in ANY medium).

When I do smooth turning I turn the speed up to all the way high because if you do smooth turning slow that’s where I get motion sick not when I move fast… because fast motion mimics fast click turns in a sense because you turn really fast

I played Resident Evil VIII in VR on Hardcore mode and, after a grueling 13 hours, I finally beat it yesterday. It was an unforgettable experience, and I genuinely hope to see more high-quality games like this in the future. Maybe they'll need to slash the price of the VR+controllers to 300$ for more users to begin adopting this.

How funny. I just got out of a session of this VR2 game after being in for 3 hours and now this video pops up. I haven’t played the game since November. Weird. But still a bad ass game tho. Gotta play it with a great set of headphones to get the best experience. Ear buds lick balls.

I agree with your review. This game is very bland. I remember looking forward to riding the Gondola and then you don't even get to do that. There are much better games using Anime art style available on PSVR2. There are a few I haven't played that might be better, but from ones I have played, your best bet for an immersive Anime experience on PSVR2 is Sushi Ben or Soul Covenant, although Soul Covenant will require you to have 1-3 friends join you for co-op to make it easier later into the game since the AI partners the game provides aren't good enough to be as helpful as other human players would be.

My glitch was when navigating in the small tunnel, as soon as you slow it down .. the camera angle will change & stop following the batarang. It happens random, sometimes ok sometimes not. There are also other bugs, this game is great But is FULL OF GLITCHES! I have completed 100% but is hard to convince myself to play it again with all the glitches. Sad the developer is not fixing it well.

The animations in this game are the only thing holding it back, everything feels so sluggish outaide of combat, I'd rather characters just snap into place than be forced to watch a ten second animation every time i get in or out of the Buggy....

About to finish up RE4 on the VR2 for the platinum excited to give this a try. Although it seems much more scary than 4. What do you think ?

My RE8 (Village) experience in PSVR2 was fucking awesome. I had originally played RE8 when it first came out, at normal difficulty. I thoroughly enjoyed it in 2D. I finished the DLC. And played some of the mercenary mode. When I got to do another playthrough in VR, holy smokes! I had some trouble getting use to the advanced gun handling modes at the tutorial shooting range. And went for the simplified gun handing mode. Combat when you first enter the village on normal difficulty, in VR mind you, was too hard for some reason. I had to switch it down to Easy difficulty to progress. Thinking back, I think its simply because I'd get too scared and not be able to shoot straight. The VR is so immersive. I really felt transported to another realm. Which made things both really fun, and scary. I was so cool to lean in toward Lady Dimitrescu to get a better look. RE8 did a really good job of making highly detailed models in game. I ended up playing most of the game sitting on the couch. Though I would do standing mode, when I wanted to more easily look around and check things out. A few times, I would do the "room" mode when I really wanted to take in the sights. But that gets physically tiring. I also preferred using the normal movement mode. But would find myself unintentionally leaning in the direction I'd be moving. As if my body was going to really walk that direction. As long as I feel mostly in control of where I'm moving, then I don't get motion sickness. I will get motion sickness on those theme park rides when you loose control. But I never did during RE8. That reminds me, I gotta check out RE4 Remake VR mode. One issue with PSVR2 is takes some prep time to get setup to play. Not a whole lot. But it's a noticeable difference between 2D mode, with grabing the controller, powering up and sitting on the couch to play something.
