Milpitas Sanitation | 2017 Peterbilt 520 Wittke Front Load Garbage Truck | MS251
Here we have a Milpitas Sanitation Front loader collecting commercial Trash. In Milpitas commercial trash, recycle, yard waste, and compost can start being collected as soon as 4am. Meaning most drivers are clocking in by 3:30am. Often times commercial routes are open for Milpitas, they are usually filled by pool drivers from the San Jose side since Milpitas and San Jose operate out of the same yard.
The pool drivers will usually be told the day before what side they'll be on and if they need to come in earlier, especially if they're assigned to street sweeping, roll off, or front load.

Here you will see Bobby in MS151. Which is a 2018 Peterbilt 520 with a 70/30 split. 70% for Garbage and 30% for compost. There just giving sj residents new cans?
Only to certain areas who have the biggest rate of contamination. People who have a 32gallon will get a 64 gallon. And people with a 64 gallon will get a 96 gallon. All at no extra charge. It’s a pilot program
who usually gets the cans next to the dumpsters
If you’re talking abt the green/brown bins. Those are collected by a front loader, all of the front loaders have a gripper on the front.

What a cool design! Never seen side bin lifters like that before but makes a lot of sense and keeps the truck as a dual purpose vehicle for the Volvo front load grabber without the bin lifters getting in the way or damaged. The deeper hopper opening would be helpful for the Volvo to unload too - it all makes sense and is a perfect design! lol Keep up the great work.

Why are there county bins?
Green team does west San Jose, parts of down town. Those bins are suppose to be City Of San Jose They also do unincorporated Santa Clara county their bins are county of Santa Clara West valley collection and recycle (which basically is a branch of green team) services Los Gatos, Campbell, Monte Serrano. I believe green team/west valley are now using the same decal of bins which are west valley for all of their carts except for San Jose. When green team runs out of bins for San Jose they tend to use bins from either county or west valley collection and recycle. Reason why they do this is so they have no delay in delivering bins. Unlike calwaste and GCS
