I love this man, and have for over 30 years

Grade A knobhead. He swanned around like a Mafia boss in his press conferences and banned anyone who made him feel a bit awkward. And yet he was always the first to trash other managers, players and officials that he didn't like. He contributed some fantastic teams and achievements to football, but in terms of being dignified and decent, he was bottom of the league. I've no respect for the guy, in terms of that.

This is sheer gold dust! I used to watch all of Sir Alex's Press conferences on MUTV and they were a great watch and proof that you never messed with the 'Man fae Govan!' This response shows that Alex Ferguson was not a particularly nice person. People in general can't accept a negative about a person they greatly admire. Such people are like children. If they like a person a lot, then everything is good about then and they go on the attack if someone points out a negative. Fergie was a good manager but not a nice person. He treated people badly many times.
