Interesting. The Gamecube version has better lighting. The PS2 has palm trees moving in the wind when they are static on GCN though. For textures both systems have moments where they look better. Gotta say though, the remade character model for Maia kind of kills the GCN version for me. Clothes are more revealing, fine... Also simplified with no loose fabric hanging that needs to move. But her reworked face looks demented. So much worse than on PS2... Almost gives me Summoner 1 vibes. So I'd stick with the PS2 version because of that.

damn Metroid prime 4 looks great... but the xbox just has too much power behind it relative to the switch. still think Metroid will be a far superior game though

I know the list is limited to only 15 games but there are definitely some games I personally would have included over a lot of the ones you listed. House of the Dead overkill is CRIMINALY underrated. Metroid (even though it was hated) looked great. Mario Galaxy 1&2. Skyward Sword, etc.

Alice in Wonderland and Asterix look better than most on this list. Plus the first Force Unleashed plays and looks better than the garbage second entry.

Some good choices here, but there's a few that have me scratching my head - especially when there's other games missing from the list that easily deserve it.

PS5 certainly looks nicer, but when im focused on the action, I wonder if Ill care. It’s impressive how close they got it looking on the switch.

Thanks for this list! The GC is still my favorite console of all time (mostly due to nostalgia). I love that you put Star Fox Adventures at no.1. Somehow this is surprising as it doesn't get mentioned/picked that much, but if you're really looking at it, there's so much going on. The water phyics, lighting, textures and especially character+facial animations are great. Kind of makes you wonder what Rare could have done with the Gamecube if they'd stayed.. Edit: PS, also very nice transitions between the games! To me, the transitions in your best looking wii games felt a bit disconnected, but this is spot on! Keep it going!

I thing a more relevant title would be something along the lines of "top 15 Wii titles that looked surprisingly good". Then it makes sense to leave out games like Metroid Prime 3, mario galaxies, Resident Evil 4 etc. I was happy to see Darkside Chronicles (and Shattered Memories)here! With the two Resident Evils Chronicles along with games like Dead Space Extraction, Sin & Punishment 2 and House of the Dead Overkill the Wii probably has the best library of on-rail shooters of all times!

I played it on the switch. It was okay for me. The graphics may not be better than the PlayStation version, but you have to admit, they do have a bit or some Gundam Breaker 3 graphics there. Besides, it’s my first Gundam breaker game.

I don't feel like this game has graphical power enough to have a big difference. It's just a little bit more pixelated and slower, isnt it?

I hope it's playable on the steam deck on day one. God how is missed this series

I bought it on the switch, did the test, was so good I might get it on pc to xD ps the guy playing on switch doesn't play that well so you dont see switch peak performance ...

I was able to play both versions, Switch and PS4, during this Open Network Test. I already have this pre-ordered on Steam. Guys and gals please do yourselves the justice of getting this game on PlayStation or Steam. There is no comparison to the feel and how things look. There are details missing on the kit pieces on the Switch version. If you love going to the garage to fine tune and love painting your suit down to the last detail PLEASE get the PlayStation or Steam version. The Switch version also felt less responsive to button input. If the Switch is the only place you are able to play then by all means enjoy yourself! Or if that is the only place your friends are! I have an Xbox so I understand that feeling!

Here I am and thinking that will was better. Guess not

both games look great for different reasons. Halo was cutting edge at the time due to its large and expansive levels, and advanced enemy and friendly AI, and was one of the first games to implement crepuscular rays (god rays). as such, the game took a hit in polygons and framerate. Prime on the other hand has more advanced geometry, due to areas being more condensed and sectioned off via doors. enemy AI is also rather basic compared to CE. both are amazing in their own right, and I love both equally. plus if you like the Alien/ Aliens series, think of Metroid as Ridley Scott, and Halo as James Cameron.
