Yeah, I have no idea how to fix it :/ I've tried everything I can but it probably just needs to be fixed in Proton/vkd3d itself. They did fix hardware anti aliasing though if you play with Experimental or the latest GE, so this foliage thing is really all that needs to be done now AFAIK

@@ZakFR the fps thing did work, but i think thats gonna only be temp or when huge firefights happen it might just lower it to do it again, but this video is exactly the issue that ive had and legit nothing else, maybe some fps drops where when i was on windows i'd get nothing dropped at all.

@@BamsyTheSergal Yeah that's what I experienced, big firefight with explosions caused the GPU usage to spike and it started happening again, really sucks

Hey, have you tried using the Nvidia 555 drivers? I submitted an issue about this on the Github for vkd3d-proton, and the guys there tested it and found it doesn't reproduce when on 555. I tested it myself and haven't been able to reproduce it on 555 either, so unless you were already on that driver version you should try that and see if it fixes it. Edit: I take that back, tested it literally 1 more time and it showed up again lol, sorry thought it was solved :P

@@ZakFR its all good, i havent been on linux for a bit but they did update wayland/555 on mine but i heard there was some major mozilla firefox issues they are waiting on, but for alot of the old issues, it is fixed for the most part

As a rule of thumb, Linux does not have better game performance or stability than Windows. Some games do, but that's rare. I recommend checking out the websites ProtonDB (or Lutris if you're not using Steam) to see how well the games you play work on Linux. It's not yet at a point where you can blindly make the jump and have the same experience as Windows, so keep that in mind. Some games flat out won't work. My experience has been mostly positive though. Just depends on what you play.

I can't remember exactly how to get to it but it's in the mine section, just thoroughly check all the rooms you go in and you'll find it, nothing too hard to find as long as you look for it. Just be obsessive about checking everything

@@ZakFR I already was in this room, i've ment how to get behind the barrier. Just because the sign next to it I thought going through that glass fiber would result in instant death. I now know that it isn't true, and that dealing with the damage is probably the only way to talk to them. Pretty sure i didn't miss any rooms that could lead around the "impenetrable" barrier. Thank you anyway.

@@Neukend Ah, I'm sorry I misunderstood. There is a path around the barrier, it is kind of hard to see the opening though. If you have your flashlight with you you should be able to see it.

@liming7827 one fan theory i read was that someone (ALDR?) seems to have setup a trap with the electric wire fence and they ended up running through it in the darkness while getting away from an attack.

At the time I used the SWAT 4 voice pack, the mod that removes the early access part of the hud and of course the map, Not So Convenient. Not sure if the SWAT 4 voice pack still works, there might be an updated version but I didn't bother checking when the most recent update came out. Other than that my game is completely vanilla.

I'm sorry, I don't remember what I had for this lap. I think I only changed the electronics, but I think that you're generally supposed to be changing those as you drive anyways. I'm not very good with setups so I usually don't do a whole lot with them. Again, sorry that I couldn't be of any help.

Smoshy DoesGT 3:10 is definitely a fast run, more and more practice will only improve it, as well as studying the game. Back when I still played, I actually used a computer not a mobile phone, using a keyboard definitely helps a lot. And plus if you got a 3:10 on a phone that's very impressive in my opinion, I wouldn't be able to play on a touch screen if my life depended on it lmao

My best run was a 3:11 when racing Bunta. But you know what's bad ? There was some room for improvement, I could take the third corner faster, I could also take that section after the skate park straight faster, and improve my lines in the hairpins. I did this on a phone and was driving the AE86 Trueno

Nawashi Yeah I am pretty scared of hitting guardrails, and I probably can take the corners tighter, but yeah I generally try to be as clean as possible even if it means slowing down more than I should’ve
