I refuse to watch the film and read any book from the author in the future (I read 2 books from her, not including this). If there's one thing I'll hold this movie up for, it's keeping the cat in the bag for all the trailers and promotional materials. Seems that's shockingly hard to do these days. Was also surprised by the absence of any dick mutilation in this, given the subject matter. The casting of this is definitely what really elevates the material. I'd say the moment to moment editing really harms the character development because I never developed a sense of who they were to eventually feel betrayed by. The visuals were fun though. It takes skill to make that many close-ups not feel obnoxious.

Meh, social media "stars" are just as bad or worse in many cases because they are popular and talentless. Hollywood has lost it's way and couldn't create an original story if the entire city of LA was at stake. Honestly it's all just hedonism at this point, if you care what any of these people are doing you must have brain damage.

Lily Bloom is an awesome brand of purses. It's a famous brand so it's weird that a main character would be named the exact same thing. Like, if they wrote a character named Kate Spade and it had nothing to do with the famous purse maker.

I'm a self-taught fashion photographer and can tell you the thing I hate most about celebrities is when they think that the world revolves around them. I have more respect for someone well known that is nice to everyone and never rude just because they are who they are. I don't get the whole 'look at me' mentality and spending $1000s just to play dress up for 1 day and show how vein you are by wanting your photo taken so everyone can see you. I've photographed some gorgeous models in my lifetime that didn't have this attitude nor mentality and we became friends. I like being around 'down to earth' people and that's why I will never be successful in fashion photography on the celebrity level.

Thank you so much for pointing out that Bella lucks heart, I was struggling for me to describe her analytical nature, and you helped me with this. I have a totally different perspective on who Bella is. She became heartless because of her upbringing by a logical man, she didn’t have a mother and or she was her own mother. She was able to survive in that cruel man world only because she was not emotional (heartless) that was a gift her creator gave her.

This was such a great video!! I’m a big defender of the John Wick franchise because it’s just so ridiculous and fun. I think you summed it up perfectly because we are not watching John wick for dialogue, it’s for the action and stunts and seeing how each movie escalates from the last! I still need to see monkey man and Leon the professional - they’re top of mind now!

Wonderful film. While I totally appreciate your points, I do think you have to have an anchor to the film which makes you want to persevere with it (and not take out your phone:). For me it was I am fascinated by Tokyo and am a musician. So it was very easy for me to get drawn into this world.
