The hard part is finding hard cell high density polyurethane foam. I finally found some 1`` stuff in the form of a camping mat at the Army and Navy for 25 bucks. Yoga mats and kids play mats were an option but to thin. I found some very thin stuff at michaels crafts and it comes in black or white for 11 bucks a roll. You can see it in the samples i made. Then i discovered my old Zebra foam back...

Recumbent tadpole trike. About 4 weeks in. 1st test run and she ran perfectly. No chain noise all I just have to do some adjusting. I'm waiting for my front wheels so I can do the brakes. So tempting, I won't go fast.
Do you wish you had rear or front suspension?
What cost $800
Love your bike except for you handle bars. Seems like it wouldn’t be a very comfortably to steer and you might damage your hands if you hit something beautiful, job . I think I spent around 200 on mine

German yo estoy en Colombia también y quiero fabricarme un triciclo. Yo creo que su problema puede ser con los ángulos de la dirección, de los pivotes, camber y caster.. Hay que consultar geometría de la dirección de Ackerman. Le quería preguntar que manzanas usó para las ruedas delanteras y que diámetro de eje.

nice build! very nice i just bought the plans , sadly it didnt come with a parts list , well each step says you need this ,,, im just trying to gather everything before i start. i have a running ebike that im going to keep using until this is built and tranfer the electrics and wheel! should be allot of fun ! 1500w rear wheel will provide plenty of power for this thing, im so stoked! again , awesome build and thanks for sharing!

I'm surprised it was still $800. I'm glad that you told us the price because I was going to get a few sets of plans thinking the builds would only cost 2-$400 plus having to buy a welder. Thanks, J

Hello, how did you connected the wheel axle to the power steering arms? I mean, without a fork suspension, I saw some black metal thing but I could not understand. I'm trygin to make my own. Could you tell me how it was done?

The most important is you ether being a dam good welder or you know someone that is . The having good metal . then the components . Then the engineering . Needs to be light and fast or just light .

How did you get $800 in to it if everything came from Junk useless bikes? I would say you probably spent $30-$50 all in all.
