Thank you, I appreciate that. I’m glad you enjoyed it. The channel is a work in progress.
@@theoutlawdigger I’m looking real hard at the Manticore or 900 Equinox as my next detector. Currently have a BH Land Ranger Pro and either will be a helluva jump from the BH LRP, albeit it has served well and is without a doubt the best detector with its’ features out there for ballpark $200 and under…if memory serves the LRP was $175 out the door. If I know me, I’ll end up with the Manticore over the 900.
@@usmc6157 I upgraded from the AT Max to the Manticore and I have not been disappointed. They are on sale right now and ML offers a 15% military discount.
@@theoutlawdigger Appreciate the heads up about the sale. Yeh, several places are running sales right now and I figure with the 15% mil discount, I can walk with a better unit easily for the price and then some, of the next lower grade unit(s). These things have sure come a long way. I remember as a kid back in the mid-70’s I had a Radio Shack metal detector, looked like an old Cobra CB strapped on top of a piece of 1/2” conduit and a 1-gal paint can lid for a head, and wouldn’t hardly pick up a damn hammer with the thing sitting on top of it. 😆
See you on the next one.
Yes, congratulations on burying coins and digging up that exact spot like it's a surprise for a youtube video. Does digging up something you buried for a youtube video constitute as fraud?
As the guy digs a fresh plug that obviously hasn’t been disturbed before. I can tell you’re not a detectorist. You’re not bright enough for the hobby.
@@thorny3218 You're not intelligent enough to be considered human. You clearly believe everything you see on the internet. I can bury some coins and go dig them up in a week giving the ground time to settle too. When you grow up and use your brain to think, then you can talk.
@@thorny3218 Do you see any other dig sites around that one spot that he went exactly to? NO! So its obviously that you are not the brightest in the way of thinking and believe whatever garbage you see on the internet. But for the people who have common sense, this video is clearly staged. Go back to reading coloring books.
You need to watch at 10:45 of video and see impression of coin in dirty. I guess he buried that also 😂🤦🏻♂️
@@mikelego9362Apparently you are not smart enough to know when you are being played for a staged video. Good luck in life.
Who you trying to shit boy. Not everyone is a fool.

New sucriber good hunt pick thru the iron I use an at pro 5x8 and listen for the squeaks look forward to next video thanks from WNC
Thanks for watching and subscribing. I upgraded from an AT Max to the Manticore. I was pretty successful with my Max. My plan for 2024 is to hunt more, make more content, get better footage and of course, find more treasure! Good luck out there!!

Awesome finds!❤
Yes! Thank you!
That was a great hunt! Congrats on the silvers, especially the SLQ!❤
Thank you very much! It turned into a pretty good little hunt. It was an old one room schoolhouse. I was learning the nuances of the Manticore in heavy iron here. I have since got it dialed in and have found silver dimes at 10”+ in the months since this hunt.
Root Slayer is the best shovel I’ve used!!!
I was very happy with mine, until the blade broke….
I’ve dug thru asphalt, caleche, packed oyster shell, and small rock driveways and hasn’t broken yet!!!
@@CommonGuy Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great shovel and I abused the crap out it before she gave out.
👍
Nice hunt! What kind of metal detector would you recommend for someone who wants to do this? And what other materials do you recommend like your little detector and shovel? I don’t live far from a civil war battlefield.
For a beginner, I would suggest the Minelab Xterra Pro, the Nokta Makro Simplex or the Garrett Apex. The little detector(aka pin pointer) is a must have. I would suggest getting one of the bigger brands though. Garrett, XP, Minelab, etc.. Get a shovel that isn’t super large. There are shovels made specifically for detecting, but you can pick one up that fits you and digs nice tight plugs. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Nice hunt thank you for sharing 👍👍❤️
Thank you for watching! My filming/editing is a work in progress. The video quality should be improving soon! Good luck out there!
I went metal detecting for the first time a couple weeks ago ❤ found a cool pin and a bunch of change, nothing to write home about, but lots of fun 😊
It’s a great hobby. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Stick with it, you never know what you might find out there. Thanks for watching!

Prob.civ.war button, gotta know the back mark, but looks civ.war period
Thanks for watching! I will check the back of it for a marking.
That one piece looks like the top of a soldiers flagpole. It would have a second piece and the wood would go between them
Thanks for watching. Are you referring to the piece that looks like half an eagle?

Civil war button go find the I stands for infantry
Thank you! I assumed that’s what the I meant, but I wasn’t 💯 percent sure.
They are hard to come by been doing this since early 2005 and I only 3 LG cents one king George no fate and hoped and a very warn George Washington colonel coil
Let’s go, let’s go treasure💕🌺👵✌️
You had a very nice day- Congrats for knocking that LC off the bucket list!!
Thank you very much! I just received my Manticore yesterday. Hopefully I can knock off some more bucket listers with the Beast! Happy hunting out there!
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, I hope...What State do you live, up North?
I don’t mind. I live in Southern Illinois.
That’s was a colonial shoe buckle. That’s not a tootsie. Hot wheels firebird from 1980s lol 😂
How could a colonial shoe buckle end up in southern Illinois? I guess it’s possible. Also, Tootsie made a 70’s Trans Am. As you can see from the video, it doesn’t have the Hot Wheels characteristics. At the time I was filming, it appeared to be more of the Tootsie style that I’m used to finding. 😂
@@theoutlawdigger I guess it could be a tootsie. Usually when I find them they are a lot smaller and not as cool looking. I didn’t know they was still making them after the 1950s.
Very cool.
Thank you and thanks for watching! It was a good hunt.
Really enjoy the digs, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching and the support! This was my first video. The quality and editing has gotten a little better since this one, but it was a great series of hunts here.
Congratulations on the large cent took me eight years to find mine
Thanks for watching! It took me four years to find one in here in Illinois. There are still many of U.S. coins I’ve yet to find. Good luck out there!
@@theoutlawdigger 😊
Yeah the best treasure is hidden deliberately by folks so you should always take some care and respect. I think taking it if you find it is fine but documenting it and maybe tastefully leaving it for later is cool. I think there should be treasure on Earth that everybody just leaves and never gets stolen I think that would be a great sign
22:24 is a hood ornament and the toy car is mid 70's TransAm! Congratulations on the largie! Great video!
Thank you for watching! I wonder if Tootsie brand made a 70’s Trans Am? I didn’t see the patented Tootsie stamp inside it.
Some very awesome finds! Looks like you got a root slayer shovel? You had a pretty good day for sure! Keep pulling those finds!
Thank you! It is a Root Slayer. It’s been a decent little shovel, but I’m about to upgrade.

Congrats on your first Largie. Nice dog tags, and yes those are horse reigns guides. Beautiful civil war Infintry button. Congrats on the silver and Indian also.
Thank you PA! I couldn’t believe that Largie was what fell out of the plug. So that button is civil war era? I saw some information on the internet that suggested it might be, but I wasn’t sure.
@@theoutlawdigger you can usually date the buttons by what the back looks like. Is it a two piece or one piece button, and also where it was made on back
Root slayer with the short one has a round handle better for older person t handles don’t have that kind of leverage you are looking for
i swear Lebanon county Pennsylvania must not of had Indian and wheat pennies cause I've yet to dig any older coins before 1960's .... think I'm gonna have to ask churches for permissions
They will come. It took me quite some time to really start finding older coins. Research, door knock, ask around and more research. Good luck and happy hunting out there in PA.
That is a good day, came over from @sLostandFound
Thank you and welcome to the channel.
Was wondering about you switching from the Garret AT Max to the Manticore. Currently I have the Apex. I used to have a GTI2500 that I loved. I had back surgery and things came to a halt. Last year I started MDing again with an Apex. I know the Max is a good machine, but just curious about why your going to the Manticore. I’ve been looking at it also.
Welcome to the channel and I’m happy to hear you’re able to get back to detecting. I’ve been relatively successful with the Max, but I’m just ready for an upgrade. The only real complaints I have about the Max is it’s susceptible to EMI and it can get a bit “chirpy” at times. It can be frustrating when you’re trying to hunt and you are battling constant chatter. It was a toss up between the 900, XP2 and the MCore. The Manticore’s screen, 2D graph, EMI stability, separation and depth sold me. I think with an upgrade from ML, the Manti will be worth the wait. We will see…

Is that a lesche digger ?
Yes, it is a Lesche hand digger. My shovel in this video is a Nomad Root Slayer.
What kind of metal detector do you use?
I’ve been swinging the Garrett AT Max for the last four years. I ordered a Minelab Manticore about two months ago and I am still waiting for it to arrive. Apparently dealers are having a hard time getting them from Minelab.
