Yes, true true!
Your gentle delivery is a very calming watch Warren. So unlike the frenetic, stressful ‘energy’ of a lot of CZcams teachers. And of course your teaching is excellent too. Watch Iona Stephens vids for the same reason
Glad you enjoy it Russel thank you, I saw a brief story about Iona, really sad, had a very bad injury that cost her her playing career. Sending my best Warren
Hi Warren, can you please let me know which trackman software you are using on the touch pad and which sensors you are using?
I’ve got a Flightscore Tour Xi Tour which I bought in 2016, seems pretty reliable and accurate. Lots have probably moved on from this one but it serves me well for what I need. Hope this helps. Warren
Very useful video thanks that will help me Im pretty sure. Thanks 👍
Glad it was helpful and many thanks Warren
Hi warren really enjoying your videos, does the release apply through the bag ? Thanks
Hi Arica, many thanks. I would say yes anything with a full swing, but in saying that you can get away with less the more we head towards the shorter clubs as speeds are less and shorter, that’s why Driver is always more difficult apart from less loft, it is generally going the quickest so less time etc, but generally same swing for all full shots. I hope this helps Warren
Warren, I have watched many of your videos with great interest, and have benefitted from your teaching. Now I wonder whether you could answer a question and that is, what release method would you consider best for someone in their seventies. There seems to be a fashion for the "body release", and that I have attempted, but without a great success. Thank you for all you have been presenting to us.
Hi there, many thanks for your message. I would definitely encourage a more of an arm swing to create more natural speed with the club. Have a look at these videos and hope they will help. Many thanks Warren czcams.com/video/TIouv9MWVjg/video.htmlsi=BsHfI-vsDy5XO-yc czcams.com/video/WYO8-I9suaE/video.htmlsi=66Gzo82Dn7MuhP_c
Awesome ! Thank you Warren !😀
My pleasure! Thank you 🙏
Great video Warren that showed that the hand has to release fully through 180* and not stopping after about 110*. Thanks, it is a great help.
Yes not easy to do but can be trained. Many thanks Warren
Great stuff , proper ‘old school ‘ release, what I was brought up with, so familiar with this. The big problem for us weekend warrior CZcams addicted golfers is contradiction… polar opposite contradiction Craig Hanson flip release: czcams.com/video/fV3nC6f-7Lg/video.htmlsi=yVeui7qsKrM4KkqE Steve Pratt sling release: czcams.com/video/4AVbwNI8dPM/video.htmlsi=d5FCCL_SES0UJH8P It really does make trusting CZcams advice a minefield. Please, I’m happy with your advice… it’s what I was taught donkey’s years ago and your pedigree as a player and coach is why I’m watching and subscribing to your channel, but there is So Much contradiction out there .
Hi Mike, couldn’t agree more, I suppose any coaching in any subject is a flip of a coin sometimes. I just think in golf coaching it doesn’t need to be reinvented with fancy jargon. Appreciate you taking the time to explain and message, and appreciate the support greatly. Regards Warren
Really well explained and illustrated. Thanks Warren.
Glad you enjoyed it Graeme thanks
Great video Warren, nice to get quality information.
Many thanks Eric glad you enjoyed it Warren
Nice one! Maybe do a follow up on types of lies? I find that particular useful in the choice of short game shot. Padraig did a good video on it, but would love to see your take on it too.
Will do difficult on a mat but hopefully will change soon Regards Warren
@@warrenbennettgolfacademy Fair point! I think the video from Padraig is his tip #20
Warren beginning to understand the release at last And what it means light bulb moment for me and hopefully my golf game Thanks
Well done Brian, thank you and wishing you well. Warren
Just what I needed. Thanks Warren, really appreciate your videos. As an aside are you still giving one to one lessons ?.
Hope it will help Mick, release will be the key to your straighter shots. No im not giving any lessons atm sorry
Sorry to hear that. Wish you well with your excellent teaching videos.
Without a doubt the best golf tip out there. I was amazed at the results. 80-90% great shots the last time on the range. Question, it seems that 10% of the time I would top it or hit above the equator, what could be causing that? Thanks.
Well done brilliant to hear. Maybe getting a bit to lateral/sway with top half? Hope that helps and good luck Warren
@@warrenbennettgolfacademy ok. You might be right. I just took notes on your video about getting the right shoulder down during swing. I’ll try it. Thanks again.
Draw is my stock shot, fade is what i struggle with, either overdo it and turns into a big slice, or i pull it straight left
Hi Richy, the pull will be half way to solving it, you just need a clubface that is slightly open to that path. Tomorrow I have a video regarding shaping shots so that may be of some benefit l. Warren
Light grip pressure, allow the weight of club head to help you feel the rotation. Let it happen...feel the move and gradually increase speed and length of swing, but with a light grip pressure....say 3 out of 10. You've got to let go to hold on....and lose control to gain it!!
Nice one Pete 👍
Another winner! Your lessons are great! Looking forward to the pitching video. Thanks!
Hi Bill, thank you can have a look at this one in the meantime 👍 czcams.com/video/7eDfaVIG2cE/video.htmlsi=cU8jR4rQnXEUaaz-
Warren a senior golfer here who still can pivot…. My feeling when doing this drill is aggressively covering the ball. The challenge on my part is to stay down through the shot. I’ve come across an interesting swing thought\movement to initiate the down swing in order to cover and recenter over the ball. Once at the top of my swing my first movement/feel is to rotate my right foot clockwise. The sensation for me is that I’m starting the transition from the ground up, using my right foot to push to my left side and by pushing the right hip back allow me to keep hip depth. For me it seems to work interested in your thoughts.
Hi Edward, I really like what you’re saying here, it creates the right sequence and stores speed too, if physically able then I encourage more to do what you do. Sounds like you know what you’re doing. Thanks for messaging your thoughts Warren
I have been playing golf and I still feel like a beginner with golf. I have always lacked distance. It took me 42 years to break 100. I have never broken 90.
Wishing you well Jeff, I’m sure you will, golf is very hard as we know but can surprise us now and again. Kind regards Warren
@@warrenbennettgolfacademy Thank you, Warren. I keep watching and learning.

@warrenbennettgolfacademy you're welcome. You've been in the trenches and both sides of the fence, mate. It amazes me how and why people take instruction from "gurus" that can't break 75
So clear and straightforward ... thanks Warren.
Very welcome and glad it was helpful Many thanks Warren
I love your teaching style. Your slow motions and frame by frame narrative make everything easy to understand. ❤❤❤
Thank you Thomas for taking the time out to message and glad your getting something out of it Warren
What you said was very true and I trust your invaluable insights. Many learners aim at hitting long distance. My coach keeps telling me accuracy and consistency are paramount. Therefore, as a beginner, I aim at making my swings consistent and repeatable. Besides, I aim at hitting the ball to go straight line towards the target. To achieve this I also train my ball impact on the club head.
That makes perfect sense and I agree, too many go after distance and become inconsistent. From good solid foundations like you say you can layer speed. Your coach sounds like he knows what he is doing. Good job 👍 Regards Warren
If possible, could you please demonstrate how you do this power move when swinging a driver. Is it the same or has to happen earlier? Thank you again for a month full of instruction. You are almost there, now you deserve a month off….
Hi Mathias, thank you, the filming is easy it’s just the editing, especially if it’s a video where I ramble on too much, which is pretty much every one! It is the same for a driver, but because the club speed is going to be quicker, it will need to be done with less push down first with maybe a bit more squat than weight shift. But yes still the same squat and pivot move. Hope that helps Warren
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comment. You certainly care about your viewers improving their skills to play this frustrating sport….
Actually, the more I think about this one....its a Mega tip....it helps sort out 4 or 5 other things!! Balance, weight transfer, speed of transition, dropping in slot and timing of swingthrough... plus release....all these things are helped by better posture balance between front and back of feet. Brilliant Warren. Maybe you shoud have a top 10 or top 5 of "megatips"...those that help sort out many things? This would be my number 1. I think 🤔 !
Cheers Pete, yeah it’s a good one and one that gets overlooked but like you say can have an affect on other parts. Warren
Great again! Along with other tips which Ive used....this is yet another cracker. Should I stay or should I go....(Clash!) ....Ive been "going" for far too long! Get back, stay back....theres no rush. I wish I had these thoughts years ago....when I was fitter stronger and more flexible!! Thanks again Warren.
Cement fence post in background shows exactly how much one must move forward for good contact
Good spot Richy 👍
I learnt this move about a year ago, and it improved my game twofold. I like to do those pump drills before I hit driver on course or range. Great tips as usual. Your channel really improved my right arm in my swing, I now feel more connected and it’s the bit I was missing. Another game changer was setting my right forearm correctly. Another instructor said to position your forearm like your giving blood and rotate your wrist into your grip. Obviously with practice you just naturally find this position but this is critical in shallowing the club isn’t it mate?! Anyway as you would say, ‘cheerio’!’
Yes makes sense, I’ve never heard of that feel like, might use that one in the future. Cheers Warren 👍
@@warrenbennettgolfacademy yeah it’s a good little tip!
great stuff - off to try this later!
Cheers Tony wishing you well Warren
Was pulling my arm all the time but I will try this today…
Hope it helps. Many thanks Warren
Keep going Warren you're nearly there!
Thanks just had a total tech fault and lost tomorrow’s video! Not happy! Had to put one on that wasn’t scheduled. Guess that goes with filming. Many thanks Warren
Warren ,the simplicity of this drill, and the fact you make it look so easy,is the beauty and essence of simple effective coaching.Obviously it’s something you’ve done thousands of times, the glue which binds all your videos successfully portray,is your sublime rhythm. Can you in the future perhaps come up with a video which would help us weekend hackers, aspire to have a rhythmically sound swing,Tempo and timing is hugely important
Thanks,. This softness also works well when it bleeds into your scoring clubs. What helps me with the softness is i find the finish i want and let it swing there. Also, fun is using a stripped ball aligning it to target and try to get it roll end over end. I'm glad i stumbled upon your channel. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for taking the time to message, appreciate your words. Thank you Warren

A lot of golf instruction is based on using pros as models to learn from. Whilst this is good if you are at a good level or have good fitness levels, the majority of average club and social golfers don't. This is what i love about your instruction. You recognise the difference between elite and everyday golfers and give people what they want to improve and enjoy the game more. Keep up the great videos and give Trev a pat from me!!
Thank you so much for your very kind message, very much appreciated. I will do 🐶👍
Warren I’ve said it before, your channel will explode if you can get ‘Trev’ to hit a shot!! 😂

Content and style of delivery is so much better than anything else I've seen on CZcams. I now subscribe to you only and it's making a real difference to my golf game. Sincere thanks for all you efforts.
Wow Peter thank you so much for not only your support but for taking the time out to message and watch the videos. I’m so glad you’re getting something out of it and wishing you all the very best. Warren
What a great educational video so well explained ,thank do you move hands up and down grip for changing distances
Cheers Graham, I think for the really small chips I would grip down a bit more but generally I would grip a bit down ish Hope you’re keeping well mate?
I love this channel. The videos are so well presented and the content is very clear. I wonder if you could ever do a video on how to swing “old school” like Colin Montgomerie? I have never seen a video by him which really explains the mechanics of how he makes his swing and my attempts to copy that have been dismal. Good luck with the channel and think you deserve many more subscribers. I am forwarding your videos to my friends whenever I can.
Cheers Paul, many thanks for your support and message. That’s an interesting one about Monty as being so consistent, like you said no one looks into why and done a video on him. You’ve got me thinking now! It’s not a swing I would get people to copy as it does have what I call positive compensations in his swing that are very individual to him. I might do a bonus video on him soon probably not in the July series but I’ll do one soon, I’ll get my thinking head on! Cheers Paul Warren
