This was worth the watch, and also hammered home some rules for me to look out for when playing into Nemesis Claw.
Glad you liked it, yeah these teams have some really intricate rules.
Like the new intro! And fun video idea too
Ah thanks glad you liked the vid!
Love the video man, you had some great explanations of rules that I didnt know, like the Eliminate Guards thing!
Yeah it’s a super easy one to miss!
Just another questions. How many teams do you own? I seem to see you mainly playing novitates, do you like to stick with one team mainly and fully master it?
I own 7 teams, I only play one “competitively” I most just love the sister of battle faction so I stick with them and play the others for fun.
Thanks for the video but can you buy a microphone ? Or if you have one move it closer cuz audio is so important, more important than video. Thanks for the content. Enlightening for someone trying to up his game.
Great video thanks
First video I've come across from you guys. I absolutely loved it. I really like the way you describe your thinking and considerations about everything from barricade placement to attacking etc. Helps a new player like me pick up a lot of tips. I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more content 👍🏻
Where did you get the ALT models ?
Leaving out the dice is fine, but it would help me keep track of what is actually going on if you would show the pieces being moved. I get lost, especially with the bird's eye view. Good fight, though.
No equipment?
I agree with nearly everything, altough I'd put Hive Fleet "way" higher than D, something like low B or high C. Genestealers are hella strong and warriors can do some great work. They aren't strong, but one of the strongest compendium teams. At least in my experience. Hunter Clade I agree with what you said, as in A-B Tier, altough I'd probably end up putting them in A. Void-Dancers I'd put in atleast B Tier. They are amazing and especially on BD they are very, very strong. Not top tier, but not C imo. Farstalkers, again, I agree with B-C Tier, but I'd end up putting 'em in C instead of B. But yea, if your opponent doesn't know shit about your team, they can be neat. In a tournament setting, I'd put hierotek slightly higher, simply for the reason that they have a couple of matchups where the other team will just... not be able to kill anything at all. But that's just nitpicking everything. Overall, this is an amazing killteam and I agree with nearly everything completely, except those few little things. You definitely got me as a new sub :)
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the vid. Yeah I could see most of these I think these one tier moves really gets into what is the map and mission, how are the maps set up by an event organizer. that said i think all these moves make sense.
the commentary on the map and at times the motive behind moves is good instructive material for thought, but while it's fine to disregard the dice, you really need to be clear about what ploys are used. that plasma shot to rokkit boy appeared illegal and one is left to just ??? assume you used eyes of the emperor. you mention playing around JaS but never tell us when and how JaS triggered. whole operative activations were just elided. by all means keep working to make a slick, fast-paced battle report but what's happening won't make sense without some more information
Ah thanks for the feedback, it’s helpful when starting out. Yeah like you called out TP 1 eyes was used, you can often tell if the superior is left on engage.
Wow what a amazing battle report of Kill team 👏 and very nice painting of sisters.
Ah thanks glad you liked the video. I kit bashed the models, the. Got them painted up by Den of imagination on commission.
Easy to watch. Strong production value. Subscribed! (Confession: I do like seeing dice rolls)
Oh thank you, haha different strokes for different folks in terms of dice. I can see enjoying the drama.
Great video! Can I ask what models those are you're using for the Novitiates?
Ah thanks! I’m using conversions of SoB HQ units and triumph models. You can see more pics of them on my blog disregardingdice.com
Excellent! Love the commentary and the slowly moving camera*. Painting is also top notch! Subscribed! *- these reports with everything shot with phone held by a constantly waving and shaking hand could not exist for me
Ah thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It’s been a real struggle to get the camera work this far i actually made 2 reports I never posted because I also think shaky cam is unwatchable
Great fast paced batrep, the fast pacing of it is great for a bite sized game watch!
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the vid! Yeah that the hope that these can be watched during a small break or transitioning between places or tasks.
Great video. I always struggle with deployment and feel rushed to just deploy quickly. Setting up octarius at home to set up slowly will give me a good idea of why I should setup a certain way so i will be 100% trying this, thank you :D
thanks im glad you enjoyed it and i hope you find the tips helpful!
Honestly these are the best battle reports ive seen on youtube, well played
ah thanks a ton! my hope is they fill a bit more of a competitive analysis niche with some nice fast paced coverage.
@@disregardingdice7524 yes, less bloat and just straight to it. Well played clap 👏🏼. Do you play TTS, just started trying it today and i found it quite helpful and feel it’ll be beneficial
yeah i play on the Command Point Discord server quite often discord.gg/SKbbNHQp
I actually appreciate the no dice rolls, it really speeds up play. It could be good to have a side bar with the dice results maybe?
Thank you and glad you enjoyed the video. My goal with this channel is to now talk about dice pretty much at all (we all need a gimmick) but I do think that would be cool also might be nice to show how many wounds get thru with each action. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate as I’m still learning how to make these.
I don’t get why Death Guard are so low in all rankings. I’m playing against them with my friend and I’m getting smashed almost all the time. Maybe we play too open maps, but Disgustly resilience I OP in my opinion and e.x. Momma fox has a big problem to do any damage to them
If I could ask what team are you playing? There are a few teams that can just chew through death guard and that is what keeps them so low.
@@disregardingdice7524 Kommandoz, Talons and Fellgors. With Fellgors 2 battles only in ITD, 1 win, one lose. With Talons open map 1 win 1 lose as well. With Kommandoz 3 or 4 loses, all on open maps. But I think that we play wit to few heavy terrains, because at the first rund he could climb on vantage point and I had no heavy to cover next to resp at all, so he could kill my Nob and Rokkit in first rund.
@@damiankirstein3311 yeah that does sound quite light on terrain. i have two battle reports on the channel you might wanna reference for how those boards are set up and how much heavy there is. between rokit, snipa and squig you should be able to pass thru quite a lot of damage. but that does require them not dying due to no cover on the board TP 1
@@disregardingdice7524 Thank you for answer :) I'll watch them for sure
If you will make more reports I will sub 100% :)
Thanks, hope you enjoyed this video. im hoping to get atleast one done each month, hopefully more... if i can learn how to edit these suckers faster.
Great bat rep💪🏾 would love to se a long one including dice rolls😁
ah thanks glad you enjoyed the video! yeah i think adding in some more commentary from my opponent would be good... but we don't talk about dice here 🚫🎲
Nice Batrep! Models look great.
Ah thanks a ton! glad you enjoyed the vid i love all yours.
You dont like Phobos too much :D
haha, i think they are fun to play. but they have a lot of rules. i think the same thing for the new BoK team too. i think with so many teams in the game its kinda unfair to make teams with so many rule details.
Sorry if I don't get it but... Why is the lowest tier called "Fun"? Bringing a bad team doesn't seem like fun. 🤔
I play “fun” teams in my narrative games and etc I think you don’t need to win to have fun playing killteam. So the title fun is to let players know that just fielding the team can be fun. But they will struggle to win.
Wonderful video!
coolio dude
I'll have to respectfully disagree on your Tyranid ranking. 10 man Genestealers can dominate objective play with their Lurking Horror ability (when concealed, they always have concealed, no matter what rules say otherwise). They also get a free dash every time they're activated. I haven't really made a way for to prevent Warriors from being shot off the board though. So it all depends on what you bring, I guess. 🙂
Yeah I think they are a playable team and I could be wrong. but I would try them into compendium demons, orks, exaction blooded and felgore. Those teams have a lot of tools to deal with due to those bad match ups and having to play really careful with mostly melee and rely on safe maps to advance without dying secures them a place in D for me. But if we see a few more good placings outside the crazy safe maps that are LVO I’ll be updating my thoughts around them. Hope you enjoyed the video thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@@disregardingdice7524 Totally see where you're coming from with that. Appreciate your insight. Cheers! I did enjoy the video too!
That was more setup than actual gameplay
Love this, but timestamps with each faction would be next-level
added, thanks for the suggestion. had no idea how to add these when I uploaded this.
good video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Tier list starts at 4:21
Yeah first 5 mins is assumptions of the list TLDR 4-6 round tournament that includes ITD and open alternating rounds
I'm a bit confused about people being down on Compendium Tau. The Stealth Suits have Fly, anti-elite weapons, they can make themselves count as concealed and in cover anywhere and can change their orders with a Tactical Ploy. How is that bad lol? Just position well, kill the big threats and win.
I would love if you did another video and explained bad match ups for the top factions
Ah cool idea! I’ll definitely think about it. Just kind what’s hard to deal with in anything in A tier or S tier
Where is the goats?
they ended up in A on this list. i end up talking about this at the 30 min mark, hope you like the video
awesome vid! totally on board with you with your claim that phobos are pretty poorly designed. i just don't understand when people say they don't feel like they have many tricks or gotchas and are straightforward, simply because there are so many paragraphs of interactions between special abilities that they have between their three categories of operatives, their individual abilities, their ploys, their equipment, and the operatives within and between three different types. a player should only get gotcha'd in the instance that their opponent has either deliberately or accidentally forgot to mention a specific rule or interaction, or if you as their opponent simply weren't paying enough attention during their explanation. GlassHalfDead's recent video on gotchas is honestly so fantastic for this. with phobos though? good luck. explaining what Vanguard does even in its verbatim entirely will ever be extremely surface level in regards to explaining what the team is capable of, when you consider the list of things i mentioned before that vanguard can interact with. the vet guard have many outdated design choices too, but in my opinion only one potentially really feelsbad gotcha, which again can be easily avoided through brief explanation: that demo mine breaks the game in fairly egregious ways that people do not expect, with it going through heavy and having 3" blast, and that instance of rule-breaking is relatively easy to avoid and not have to suffer from once understood, which is not difficult if explained before the game, which again is not difficult because its two, maybe three clauses long (it interacts with into the breach and movemovemove in a very self explanatory way, so that could also count as a clause). the phobos break too many rules and at too inconsistent times to make for fun experience. sure, vetguard have pretty stupidly reliable shooting, but that's just something you have to expect them to do and play around it. it's very consistent and telegraphed from the strat ploy phase: you know the vetguard player will be trying to shoot more than melee in the turn they play take aim, and will consistently, with every shoot action, be rerolling 1s. however, phobos can pull shit out that is always a hundred times worse and more intangible than simply getting to reroll 1s, and they can do different shit with each different activation. having your abilities be somewhat telegraphed is not flawed design; if anything it can make playing for both players and watching for spectators more enjoyable, because they don't have to read the phobos rules a hundred times over to understand their interactions. terrible design indeed imo, straightforwardness is far from a flaw when talking about a team's design, and the phobos fundamentally fail at being, ya know, not convulated as hell at every single turn(ing point). you explained these design issues far more coherently with harlequins lol, but same issues imo
Yeah pretty much agree with all that if there were maybe a dozen Killteams maaaaybe Phobos would be ok. But there are over 30 one team just shouldn’t have that much to remember.
Great Video! One question though, where can one find the LVO / Warhammer Map Packs you were talking about when covering Pathfinders?
Thanks glad you enjoyed the video. You can find them here: drive.google.com/file/d/1hfQZvyAfBVIjurO0KWNL5WYuCECS2HnM/view
I was here for this until the best compendium team the Custodes was put below daemons. D tier should be Custodes, Daemons, Death Guard (Death Guard should not be in fun tier), Hive Fleet. Also, Void Dancers in C tier? Nah, more like A tier.
interesting ideas, ya could be right. from my perspective Demons did end up at worlds and had a pretty good record into the rest of the field, Custodes cannot get wins on open boards so with the assumption of alternating open and ITD they could not take the event very often. Void dancers are quite beatable as soon as you understand their rules better than the person playing them, like i mentioned in the video the way they must win is so narrow it is easy to disrupt once you understand it. and also I have never played a competitive death guard match, I could see them above fun for sure. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@disregardingdice7524 That was my issue. Custodes are gods on ITD, but mid on open. So I get the logic. Just going to agree to disagree on Void Dancers (especially on the new terrain). For Death Guard it all comes down to is your opponent making their 5+ DR saves. Nuts a team can literally avoid all damage if they roll well enough.
@@ChaseTheChamp11 yeah makes sense, all this list was with the assumption of no new boards, as i haven't played on them yet I agree that it looks like VD is going to be great there.
Acctualy Daemons with 2 Khorne groups is realy strong
You need to get a tripod. You're almost there on the editing, though.
Nice work. I love these Tier lists, enjoying all the arguments
ah thanks glad you liked it. I tried to go thru my thinking on each a little bit. turns out I can talk about kill team for quite awhile.
Oh crap, it’s a 2024 tier list now
Tis the season, hope you enjoyed the list and a bit of discussion around each team.
OK I like that the video is 10 mins that is great. The film style is a little manic the jump cuts are like every 4-5 seconds. Focus on your subject and discuss each action in sequence with the board. Slow down and tell the story not just what happened. We get your perspective do an after action with your opponent and let them tell their side.
I love the overlay with the stats and portraits in the team intro. :) Just the camera is sometimes shaky that I'm getting a little bit dizzy from watching.
Did you kit bash your sisters? These look different than the kill team box?
yes the models are all kitbashed
This channel is gold. I just discovered it and I love your editing and all your paintwork. New sub
The Novitiates stats were nicely placed in the beginning. But the other teams seemed just slapped on there.
Awesome batt rep! Your novitiates are terrifying to play against! And I speak from firsthand experience!
haha thanks glad you enjoyed it. its been great catching games with you, maybe i can lug the fliming setup up your way one of these days.
Nice work. I think the camera movement is a bit too much at times. Makes me a bit nauseous. not sure why.
yeah 100% the next one i've taken steps to remove the camera shake. sorry it got to ya.
Great batrep! I think it might be a bit easier to follow if you showed the starting point for each of the moves. Say, if you measured the move out first, then filmed the model being actually picked up and moved? Just spitballing ideas. This looks great and I'm very excited to see more.
Yeah thank you for the suggestion, trying to find a way to keep these short but also easy to follow, it’s an interesting problem. I like this suggestion I’ll try it out with the next one.
