Although my GPS tracker is on point, I don’t think we had enough satellites to get an accurate speed reading. Set up: 25/50 gears 71 supreme Open differential Taylor idler gear and transmission housing 195mm Akill super spikes rear tires

You can get 4 udirc boats for less and they are brushless and lipo fun fast. Sorry I just got a blast and wished I had some past. This for a first experience with boats is not what you should have. Boats can be a BLAST! just not the trax.. blast.😔 For 200 bucks you shouldn't have to rebuild it.?!

I have all the parts, i just need to program the PIC and solder it up. I just need to confirm your radio specs but i think they should all be similar. I had a similar problem like that I clean the read pedals put it back together. Problem solved.

that's me who's having the same issue with it,..and i've changed 3 carb already and the same problem keeps popping up,..won't stay on the high rev's at all even got a new ignition on it but that's not either keep me posted if you found the problem brother 👍

I asked Dan from obr he said that’s too much of a carburetor for that little engine
That might be the case but it ran fine when I first put it on 😉
You needed to let the engine warm up and adjust your high needle

The last time that happened to me mine wouldn't hold a tune either then then kaboom! it shut down for good catastrophic! The carb had came loose and blew the piston up from leaning out too much.
I don’t think that’s the case here but anything could happen👍🏼🤙🏼

Whats gears for this im putting in my taylor 35 reed. Right now realizing i need a bunch more stuff. For wheelies in a short park. 20/54 or 21/53?

@Meyers2strokeRcgarage I'm gonna order from Detroit after I'm done working. Could you recommend gear set carrier etc and wheels and tires? I'd appreciate it. It's a pretty stock rovan baja with the taylor 35 v2 reed the 1271 "extreme" carb and the 9500 rpm fs clutch they offer with it. Also running to rovan pipe. Is it worth it to grab the small block side pipe?
@worldlifediesels8268 yes it’s definitely worth getting the Taylor small block pipe or something like that 👍🏼 as far as gearing goes what size tires are you running?
The Amazon titracing 170x80, but looking for better tires those didn't do very good with the stock rovan 36

No I haven’t, what clutch bell?
It's all stock, when I took out the stock 32 which came wirh the vesla and put my taylor 35 and tightened the 4 screws around that plate, now the clutch bell is binding and engaged
@@dermatthe2 now that you mention that I think I did have the same problem you have to use the clutch connector from the k32, the Taylor clutch fan-connector hangs up👍🏼

Hi there i have a 29cc rovan engine which is basically shot, could i use 29cc Zenoah parts to rebuild the engine and just keep the old crankcase many thanks 👍

That gear plate isn’t threaded by design…the powder coating gets threads in it just from the M6 bolt going through it. It is best to clean that threading out.

A 1000 thanks for making this for Kraken Vesla noobs and future Big Bore Veslas like me. I've watched and liked all your Vesla videos and i am one of those viewers who asks a lot of Questions which you always answer. I consider you one of the Experts and I wanted to like the video but unfortunately i can't due to the mis-information on the trans. Correct me if i am wrong but you have a Taylor Big Bore Trans case ($180) Kraken Stock Non HD Diff Gear, Kraken Drive Pinion, Taylor Idler Gear ($45), Taylor Blackbone Layshaft (Can't run Kraken Ring & Pinion) ($37) and Blackbone Ring & Pinion ($65) Blackbone w/adapter ($33). All those Taylor parts total Not $60 but almost $375. I just don;t want your viewers to think a $45 idler gear is all you need for a Big Bore bulletproof trans.

Just put your rear tires on the other way , turn them around , no rubbing , kraken.big bore tranny case with those gears , there tranny case is pretty tough, I had a idler gear melt to the Taylor case , wasted bucks , can't believe your getting away with the stock chassis , I tore mine like paper , I went with Taylor everything on my vesla , it is a great rig to run , cool video ! Thanx !
Great video! I talked to Detroit performance and they mentioned the Kraken stock diff gear, stock bevel gears and stock top shaft gear with the Taylor idler and aluminum case will handle big bore. Anyone can confirm? Also, the threads in the gear plate are from the powder coating and not actually threaded in the aluminum.
@@michaelbartino4225 thanks bro👍🏼 yeah I don’t know about the stock ring gear and lay shaft gear, when I blew my idler gear the first time it destroyed the lay shaft gear with it. That’s why I went with the hardened kraken ring and lay shaft gear with the Taylor idler gear.
You’ll need the hardened diff gears. I broke the stock ones on the 3rd or 4th tank of gas. The gear plate will eventually crack around the two screws closest to the front of the car. Takes a few runs but will happen.

@@michaelbartino4225 yes. I originally had a 50gt and it cracked the sun gear in the rear diff pretty quickly. Taylor RC had the hardened ones

Hey man, you should try a 38cc top end on that Rovan engine. I did it to mine and it's a whole different animal! They're super cheap and flows way better than the Rovan head.
