Too bad it doesn't work. Bought one a while ago. The light didn't work at all on it. Returned it but took a new one. The new one worked for about two weeks. Then it stoped. Sometimes the lamp lit up if I stood and waved my hand in front of the censor. However, most of the time I had to turn it on manually. But now even that has stopped working. Changing the battery didn't help either. Swedish junk products.
Man thank you so much for this! Way better than the instructions
Any magic trick to make the automatic setting work? Simply doesn’t function for me. Have to switch on or off
before installing it was turning on my my hand but after installing it in the wardrobe, even its dark, yet not turning on- total disappointment- Chinese product from Ali Express are way better
How do I take the batteries out????? I’m struggling
My lamp is turning off randomly, even if it is manually turned on. I dont know how to fix it. Can anyone help?
янв 2024. А я пыталась за длинный конец зацепить))) Благодарю, прикрепила после видео за 30 секунд)))
Is there a teardown video for this?
I really needed to see this video. Thanks for making it. I could not understand how those little flanges were going to hold this light in place. Now I get it!
can it be on always ?
Exactly what i was looking for 🙌🏻 thanks for sharing 😊
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is awesome! My island is almost exactly like yours, so i’m simply following this step by step😂 a question regarding the power socket though. Is it simply a cut through and then placed over the socket or did you extend the socket somehow to make it line up so perfectly through the hole?
Instead of screwing on the mount things, could I use double sided tape to hold the light strip up? I’m renting and my current wardrobes came with my room, but they’re so dark. Just not allowed to damage the furniture 😢
i tried it first to see how it looks and it worked, probably just have to get a strong enough one
32cm - 0.22kg 52cm - 0.31kg 72cm - 0.38kg i had the 32cm one
Trouble with tape is you need to recharge the batteries, which involves removing the unit to access the battery compartment, which frustratingly is on the side you attach to the wall or ceiling. So tape would work as long as you don’t mind replacing it every time you recharge, which for me would be a real pain.
Great inspiration, thanks for this video. Only wee bit of criticism - there's no way of drilling holes in the floor of a rented place. I'd have put the cabinets on wheels with stoppers instead.
how often do you change the batteries?
What is the range of these sensors? I.e. how close do they need to be mounted to the door?
Looks great, thanks for the detail instructions
Where did you get that water trap?
Aha….thanks so much - got to where the light went onto the fixing, could Not work that out as the instruction/diagram was unhelpful to say the least !
Ein hässliches Sieb mit schwarzem stoepsel. Sieht nicht hochwertig aus gibt es da etwas schöneres?
I had so much trouble with the clips. Defaulted to double sided tape. When time to change the batteries I’ll figure it out somehow
Can I reverse the process where if I close the door the light must turn on?
How is the kitchen island confirmed to the wall?
Thanks for giving the full list of elements this is exactly what I was looking for and it is great. So helpful!
🤣 Sorry for laughing, but what the heck is the hack? Sawing a part out of the baring construction? Use one of their flexible wasteconnections: they developped it for exactly this problem.
Great engineering work! One important thing - all cut edges (especially plywood ones) should be better protected with wood glue or silicone.
Mine doesnt want to close or latch on .🤔
So the wooden part of the support bracket (5:31) doesn't touch the floor? Ohh I was wondering why its height was lower than the minimum height of the legs.
The angle brackets hold it to the floor. Once the wooden block it is loosely screwed to the angle bracket, you slide it up to meet the bottom of the cabinet base and then tighten up the screws. This allows you to screw through the cabinet base into the wooden block.
This is really clear and helpful. Thank you, I am just about to build something like this. However, I have one question. Is there an alternative to fixing it to the floor? I would like to avoid drilling into the floor. My unit will be a little large and include a narrow wine fridge. I wonder whether the weight is sufficient to keep it stable. I would be grateful of any thoughts. Thanks.
I have the same questionn!
This is simply misleading and confusing, why are you marking the screw at the wrong location?
Thank you.
Thank You!
where can you buy those mounting clips? I have the lights but nothing to mount them with.
Search ikea spare parts, you can order them for free
Omg your king! I was ready to return these lights back to ikea. Your video help, ikea instructions make no sense
Oh very helpful video for me also, thank you very much!
What sensor it has? Proximity? Motion?
Perfect - the instructions just don't say enough! Thank you
Why did you ruin the tiles by drilling in them instead of getting two more feet for the rear? It wouldn’t be able to tilt anyhow because the sink is fixed.
J'ai l'impression qu'il faut avoir un bac +10 pour installer ce truc.. Quelle galère, ca ne tient pas
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Done, thanks to this video. 🙌
Thank you a lot dude for this demonstration :)
What’s the small tool you used to make the holes on the legs? For the second shelf
how much weight can the table support?
20 kg
Good work 💪
I like you ♥

Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to fix the lamp to the supports, the explanation in the instructions leaflet if not clear, but now I could do it thanks to you!
You're welcome!
Too much helpful thank you 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Is it possible to turn it on/off manually? I need it for studying :)
It is! It has 3 settings: Automatic, off and on. :-)
My lamp is randomly turning off even if i turn it on… i dont know how to fix it
