Why NPN transistors are more often used in circuits?
You claim that resistors are not simple components and back this up by showcasing multiple circuits with components that are not resistors. Resistors are the simplest components because they are linear and don’t have any calculus operations like with capacitors and inductors.
I meant that, we can make complicated circuit using resistors. Like DAC circuits👍 By the way, thank you for sharing your opinion
FYI: The best microcontroller for a flashing LED project is not using a microcontroller, just a 555 timer IC, one capacitor, three resistors, and an LED, with two additional capacitors optional since they are more for using it as a CPU clock and not as an LED timer circuit. No programming required, only math you can do on a calculator.
Why you are not using two transistors instead? If the problem is only blinking an LED. here the problem is not to blink an LED. The problem is to setup and configure the MCU
@@elewizard It was meant as a joke. It seems I am bad at jokes.
I bought two bags of random ICs, I got two Texas Instruments TMS1200NC 4-bit microcontrollers (Called microcomputers in the TMS1000 series datasheet. The datasheet is copyrighted 1975, lol.) and I have no idea what they have been used for or what the internal ROMs have been programmed with. Anyone got any idea how I could get a ROM dump out of them or how/if I could bypass the internal ROM and use an external EEPROM for program storage?
Brilliant - Very good presentation. Thank you
Thank you, for watching ❤️
For the BJT biasing circuit, why was 1k chosen as the known value? Is there a minimum current needed for the biasing network Why not 100k?
Yes, the value matters. For fool explanation watch this czcams.com/video/gnHuzM8PDrc/video.htmlsi=XKXj63Xjvew5SWvH

Chashm, mamnoon.
Being a retired programmer (apps, networking, web, desktop and MANY assemblers) + electronics engineer, I sigh at the future of so ignorant young kid tat think they know it all because they can make an UNO blink an LED. ....YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly, that is the point. Arduino gives fake self confidence to people 👍
I agree also with the author. But with Arduino is the easiest way to do projects without to know actually what are you doing.
That is the point 👍 Thank you 🥂
2024/05/21 The two biggist advantages of the Arduino are:- 1 - there are about a million tutorials on the web. People with very low levels of knowledge can get started. 2 - can start very cheaply.
Thank you for sharing your opinion 👍
Thank you mr wizard

abi teşekkürler.

To turn on/off an AC appliance (like a light bulb), of course it's much simpler to just use a *relay* which can switch both AC and DC loads. The only real purpose of introducing a triac to a system is to clip the AC waveform and provide throttling which is a super useful function. That could have been made clear at the beginning of the video.
Thank you for expressing your opinion 👍
Good video subscribed immediately because it's informative and sincere

about op-amps and "single" transistors, when is it best to amplify with one vs the other? I think "single" transistors (common emitter or collector mode) are faster than op-amps, so that could be one reason...
It is good subject for a separate video 👍
This a a wonderful video. Well Done. I'll have to check to see if you have created 'Examples' videos for other items like Capacitors and inductors. It is great to have a list of all the items resistors can do to be able to test out each of the examples for better understanding. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you for the compliment ☺️ Yes there are videos of capacitors, diodes, transistors and 555 timers👍
Could you please help me with my project. Am trying to design a circuit
Could you please help me with my project
Great video as ever - you really do have a talent for explaining things. The particular little nugget of wisdom I learned from this video was the addition of the resistor to add hysteresis to the op-amp comparator circuit. So simple... now that you've explained it!
Thank you for the compliment 😃 You spotted a good point 👍 exactly my favorite
Very informative content, I appreciate it very much. Some of it went over my head, but it helped me better understand resistors, transistors, op amps, and capacitors. And as I keep learning when I come back in the future I think more of it will makes sense. About to watch the other videos in this series now ... err, they should be a series or playlist
Glad you found the video helpful. Yeah, great suggestion. They can be a Playlist 👍

Hey sir, can you make video about you're work space. I am really interested.Great videos by the way❤
Thank you so much for watching. Yes, it is a good idea, but I can't make it soon
So much effort and in very understable way, i think it took you weeks to compile this 🫡
Much obliged.

Glad you liked it 🥂
*please* write correctly the Unit of measurement (for example: “volt” using an uppercase “V” aligned with text). Another note: PTC, NTC and varistor, are not resistors.
Thank you for your feedback ❤️
@stefano.a those are a few different types of resistors…
@@chrislemus9392 no
One is a sensor, one is a component. One is situational, one is circumstantial. You can't determine a situation without defining the circumstances. You can't interpret a measurement from a sensor without an associated component.
Varistor is a blended of Variable and Resistor, is it not a Resistor?
👍
🥂
Thank you. I need a similar video for mosfets N and P channels. Please.
Noted👍
Great video! Did you make the amplifier video for the speaker?
Yes, I did. It is just next to this video in the channel. Here is the link to that czcams.com/video/gnHuzM8PDrc/video.html
Бутылка вата - одобряем :D
Nicely comprehensive list. I will nit-pick some though. We cannot hear a relay, a LED or buzzer would have been better. A circuit demonstrating Varistor would have been nice, ...I know you fealt time constrained. Maybe resistors p1, and resistor sensors p2.
Noise on an LED was not visible on camera 😁
Great video, thank you!!!
Thank you for being a part of the community
Hey, You're video is really great, i can now finally understand op amps
Glad to hear that!😃

amazing mate, well done. thank you very much for this

Good job.

You could use a transistor as a clipper on your microphone to remove the popping sounds...
Yes, the microphones quality was really low 😅
Why doesn't cars have varistor protecting ECU from high voltage spikes which can happen for example when simply replacing battery.
It is not simple to answer this question in comments. It needs a full video 👍
That'd be great! Because I blow the main fuse and couple of others last winter while replacing the battery 😀
This is a pretty good format I think. It helps the noobies (What is a resistor?) and provides some substance/stretch for mid level viewers who know some, but not all applications. Can we get a vid with same format for capacitors please?
Thank you for the compliment 😃 Actually there is a video about capacitors in the channel. Watch this czcams.com/video/zg_Ejf_LyjI/video.htmlsi=vcNsw97jGmboljFK Also there are others about diodes and 555 timers and transistors in the channel
