How to fix Lancer Ex Overheating issue (Fan socket) the CHEAP way
overheated all of a sudden? it must probably be your fans. this is the easiest to fix. in the case of lancers such as my ex, in cases of overheating, the culprit is always the socket of the fans.
the socket for these things are difficult to find and are expensive, so here i show you a make shift way to get your fans running again the cheap way.
The goal of this channel is to help you work on your own car and at the same time to enable you to get to know more about your car as well. Being able to do these simple things to your car would not only be satisfying but also save you a couple of dollars/Ph Peso/Yen ( where ever you are from) and who would not want that, right?
I am by all means no mechanic, but I have been working on cars (may it be my cars throughout the years, my family's cars or friends and clients) for a long time now and I wanted to be able to share to you all the things that I know, various tips and tricks and DIYs to help you do yours. This drive is what made me do this channel in the first place.

It is possible to switch that from PRNDL to PRND-+ in a ES?
Im not so sure if its about that shifter assembly it self. But i guess it would work if you have the part for it. Tho i would suggest just looking for paddle shifters for your PRNDL layout as it is plug and play and the paddle shifters will let you row thru the gears in your PRNDL layout

Out of the 2 fans, 1 will always be open. The other one will open/close depending on temp when the AC is on. If both your fans are not turning on even with AC is on there is a problem probably with ur fans or modules. If not fixed, it would lead to overheating.

Thats what i thought too when I was doing this. But you just have to keep trying and just work around it. Maybe it differs from lancer units but you'll eventually get it.

Pagkukuha ka yung GT na kunin mo kung ang after mo is performance.. naka4g63 na kasi yan.. palagyan mo na lang turbo, tapos pag nagkabudget ka palit internals tapos bigger turbo.. Pero kung yung reliable daily driving lang, ok naman yung mx, gls at glx models... ang common na sakit nyan ay yung iACV... pero nanjan naman si Angelo De Jesus.. kayang kaya na nya yan.. ipabypass mo na lang para tumagal iacv
True. although the GT can still be considered reliable if maintained properly ( sadly madaming sumusuko sa GT :( ) which is why others often prefer the other variants nalang. with regards to the iACV, yes that is the most common issue that most lancers have (symptoms that can be felt would be erratic idling, no cold start assist and so on) but I dont recommend the "bypass" route since utilizing the iACV would still be the best way to go. this issue may be easily tackled (DIY) by simply cleaning the iACV and the MAF sensor with a good contact cleaner, if that does not work then the worst possible thing to do is buy a reconditioned one or brand new. "Bypass" solution may be done TEMPORARILY if factors such as price and availability is an issue but in my opinion, just go for the real thing and do it right, do not settle for a "Substitute" I will try to do a video on cleaning the iACV and MAF sensors soon when I get the time :) too bad I've already done it on the GT prior to making this channel. thanks for watching and hope you subscribe!
