Replacing some concrete roof tiles
I had a couple of cracked roof tiles that needed to be replaced, so I tried my hand at replacing them. I already had several extra roof tiles that I believe are from the builder, so I just used those to replace the broken tiles even though the colors on the roof have faded some.

zhlédnutí 9KPřed 6 lety
I have a Frigidaire french door fridge (model FGHB2844LF5). In this video, I investigate 2 things: #1- Why the ice was freezing together in big chunks in the ice bin, and #2- Why it was stuck on crushed ice only even when we select cube Here is a video that shows how to disassemble the ice maker: czcams.com/video/KBEVZOHqgC4/video.html Here is the parts diagram for this refrigerator: ftp://ftp....
Hanging Christmas Lights on a Tall Tree
zhlédnutí 112KPřed 6 lety
Here I show my technique for hanging christmas lights on a ~35ft tall redwood tree. The telescoping painters pole that I use was just from Home Depot, and it goes out 24'. On top of a ladder, this gives me the ability to get lights on some fairly tall trees. Maybe one of these years my trees will outgrow this and I will have to come up with something new.
DIY Retrofitting a CFL Can Light with an LED Can Light
zhlédnutí 28KPřed 6 lety
I replaced some of the annoying CFL lights in my kitchen with new LED lights. The old lights would flicker for a few seconds before coming, didn't produce enough light, and in general were just very annoying. The new LED lights are instant on and very bright. These were the lights that I bought from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D1XH5UK I bought the 6" IC-rated can from Home Depot. The t...
Quick DIY sprinkler repair
zhlédnutí 1,7KPřed 7 lety
I came home to find one of my sprinklers was broken off an laying in the grass. Here is the quick repair job that I did to get it working again. Note that the line going to this sprinkler is 3/4", but the sprinkler itself is 1/2", so the riser that I replaced is also a reducer from 3/4" to 1/2", so I couldn't get it much smaller than I did. Thats why I decided to add some top soil to build it u...
Installing the Ring Pro Video Doorbell
zhlédnutí 4,8KPřed 7 lety
My DIY installation of the Ring Pro video doorbell, including the Ring Pro Power Kit. I'd been watching the price of this for a while, so when it went on sale for Amazon Prime Day I picked one up. Easy to install- it was up and running in around 30 minutes.
Decoding Ford replacement part numbers
zhlédnutí 13KPřed 7 lety
I recently had to replace the Blower Motor Speed Controller in my truck. This is how I determined the full part number that I needed to order. Here is a link where you can find more details: www.schooledinthetrade.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29&Itemid=54
Replacing the Blower Motor Speed Control on a 2013 F150
zhlédnutí 68KPřed 7 lety
The blower in the climate system of my truck was stuck at the same speed regardless of the speed setting. The diagnosis and repair was very easy- it only took a little less than 30 minutes to swap out the part with a new blower speed control. This is the replacement part that I ordered from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0080DWR5A/
Installing a new French Drain

I installed a new French Drain in the back of my yard that was almost 200 feet long. Hopefully this will solve the drainage problems that our wet CA winter exposed!
Drip irrigation repair- running a new line underneath the sidewalk
zhlédnutí 978Před 7 lety
I noticed that a drip line was leaking, and the leak was coming from underneath a sidewalk. I used a pressure washer and a sewer jetter to wash a new pipe under the sidewalk, and then ran a new drip line through that. Worked great!
Diagnosing and repairing the backup camera on a 2013 Ford F150
zhlédnutí 427KPřed 7 lety
My backup camera died on my 2013 Ford F150. This video follows my process to debug and replace the camera. I ended up spending around $380 on parts. Here were the parts that I ordered: Camera: P/N EL3Z-19G490-D www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TRFM7S2/ 7" Nameplate emblem: CL3Z-9942528-B www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FZGGUJ4/ Bezel and camera harness (optional if you don't break the old one): AL3Z-1...
Thanks man, very helpful
great video. the parts ou ordered are genunine Ford parts?
It has been six years since you posted this, but maybe someone else can answer me. I had the same issue when I installed a 6 in. Halo can and it was at least 1/4 in. smaller on one side of the opening. This seems to be a manufacturing defect on the part of Halo. What can't they make the can slightly bigger so that it fits in snugly?
Mine blacks out while in reverse, any idea what it might be?
Great Video!! Thanks. Where did you get that shop manual?
Forskin
So you’re saying I need to order a new camera as well as the emblem and the assembly? Correct
reviving this one..... Did you have a CEL lite?
That is the blower motor resistor not controller resistor
terimakasih Sir gitu toh caranya gampang atuhhh
My kind of guy!!! You know how to Jerry-rigg or how I call it amanda-rigging. You have the mind of an engineer. All people who can make their own hacks are. Im gonna try this for my tree out front and back. Thanks for making this video. Finally I can hang the lights all the way up the tree and not half way. I think it looks so tacky half way lit. Lol
that is one hell of a telescoping painters pole hahaha could have really used that for painting my stair case ceiling that was like 20 ft up haha.
I actually used crazy glue to glue broken pieces to each other without removing broken tile. Lol. That was a few years ago - still has held up. I wish I knew them how to do this
does this work with 2 prong cfl?
I'm wondering the same thing. Did you ever try it?
I don’t think you understand 0:04
Very useful video. Thanks for sharing. Can you tell me which parts you ordered and where you ordered them from?
I have a part F81Z-7A110-CA and seeing if it can be replaced with N81Z-7A110-A. Do you have any input? The year and model didn't add up for me according to that chart.
I replaced the controller module. it worked for 2 weeks and than back to the issue again. Any other idea what can make the controller module to go bad again?
You should have shown how you removed the ford emblem.
So was the manual pics you had also in the software with forscan?
Do you have a link for where you bought the camera?
But how do you make the other leaves go up if they are nailed?
Exactly.. all my tiles are nailed down.
You don't. You have to remove the tiles from the ridge down to the broken one!
What a nice guy. I like his voice and his manner. he's a dream boat.
i replaced my camera and it still did not work? do I have to buy a tester?
how was he able to remove/slide the top tile but yet the broken tile had a nail.
I was wondering the same thing. I have noticed that my tiles are nailed every other row. I wonder if that is typical.
@@ejones6681 It is.
Did you use your own computer to scan the codes and reset the codes,?
That a lot of unnecessary work. Keep the existing can and rewire by reusing the existing ballast wires for your hot and neutral. You can remove the ballast or cut the wires short and out of the way.
What do you use for the bulb to screw into? Do you buy that separately?
What is tricky is finding match tiles for your roof if it is over 5 years old...good Idea to stock up when you first put up your roof!
You didnt seal the hole
i have taken the ford emblem off amy times and never broke it, is a plastic tool and be gentle
Dude that does not break the emblem the emblem breaks down in two parts the Ford symbol is a cap you press and twist it and it comes off
Please elaborate because I'm about to try this to get to the wiring of my camera. Thanks
At the end , Is the camera calibration done for the tire guidelines only ?
Nice video. Thx. Costs!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? Thx
Thank you!!!
To save $$ reinstall the emblem using SUGRU. Just put a wad at any contact point and press in.
I always wondered how lights are put on tall trees, feel so dumb never thought it was this simple! hahaha
Over 300k views. Maybe it shoulda been recalled 🤦🏻♂️
These look like danum? What they called
Foreskin?
Have you ever used one of these to carry the tiles and tools? czcams.com/video/8W15XlB3N2g/video.html
Hey brother this is a great video! Can I ask what you used to pop the emblem off to gain access to the camera?
Helpful video, thanks.
It's a shame you have to destroy a perfectly good part!
What software are you using for troubleshooting?
Nice video ! I have a cracked tile up there, but too bad don’t have the replacement in hand. Have to go buy it tomorrow! Thanks
I used a pole for years. Going back to 2008 or so. Very effective.
Can you please tell what brand lights you are using?
Thank you for the tutorial! I had thought my 25' pine was too tall to decorate, but your extension pole and makeshift adapter gave me some great ideas and now my tree is ready for Christmas!
I laughed a little too hard at FORscan.
Thank you. Clear and concise. Will be trying this tomorrow!
