now can all these jets be in use while the heater is on??
For almost all hot tubs, the heat will turn off while using the jets. It will take some time (about 30 minutes per degree usually) for the water to drop degrees, however. We recommend alternating between jets and the heater.

The link for the salts do not work
I believe the one we normally use is out of stock at the moment, here's a comparable salt we like as well: amzn.to/3AciOXz
Just wondering what you think of the newest rigid foam portable hot tubs?
We have not yet tried these! We hope to get our hands on this soon, this sounds amazing.
is this 110 or 220 volt
We recommend a 220 volt, anything lower than 120v is not enough. We also don't recommend using extension cords at all as it is a safety hazard and can damage the hot tub. We only use them for filming purposes and not long-term usage.
Good job with this! Thanks for posting. Very informative
We're happy to hear that this was helpful and informative! Thank you for your kind comment, happy tubbing :)
Hi, how do you handle it if the hot tub is not used for 3-6 days? Do you shut down the power or leave the heater on? Thanks
We recommend turning it off if you're not using it in those days to save on your electricity bill and for safety purposes. Once you know you're going to get into it soon, then turn the heater on 24 hours prior.
@@TubTalkReviews thanks for info
Thanks🫡
You're very welcome! 😃
Thinking about using one other heaters on my stock tank tub. Only concerns are how fast it can heat 400 gallons / how much that will cost
Go ahead and check out our review of this immersion water heater! czcams.com/video/YPQt3bHsXj0/video.html
Bought this having watched your review. Very pleased having just set it up. Thanks.
We're so glad to hear this! Enjoy your relaxation with your new tub!! 😊🌊
Thank you!
You're welcome! We hope this review proved to be very helpful for you.
Thank you for the info! Your video's are excellent. It would be great if you could produce a video with reviews of inflattable hottubs with the very best hydrojets!
This is a great idea! We may already have something in the works, though. 😊
Did the gernada have a app thst allowed you to set the heat and be altered its ready? And was the only thing you liked the most about it was the size?
Unfortunately, no. The SaluSpa Grenada does not have an app. And compared to the other tubs, we find the size to be best.
We can’t seem to get our hot tub inflated and we tried everything u did over and over and it doesn’t seem to to work is there any other way to inflate the hot tub we have a gray stone deluxe intex and even the hose looks different than ours
Huh… very strange. You might have a major leak if that’s the case, I’d look at returning.
One con left out: Hydrojets cannot be used at the same time with the Heater or Bubbles fyi
Yes!! I think we included this in the filming but had to cut it out cuz the video was getting too long. We’ll include this in the description
You never mentioned exactly how long it took to heat up the spa.
This answer depends on the hot tub itself. Some can take anywhere from 12-36 hours. Regardless of which tub, the immersion water heater will cut that time by about 6 or so hours.
I like this review - but most people are interested in the 'jets' and how they work or point when in the tub.... How come no mention of jets???
None on this list had real bubble hydro jets. Just “air jets” that come out the floor
Thank you SO MUCH for this review! All I could find were Lay-Z-spa, which looked like the same thing, but since I couldn't find anything saying for certain that it was exactly the same, I was worried.
We're so glad this review could help you in your tubbing journey!!
Do you have any advice in regards to putting this inside? I’ve been told that it’s not a good idea due to the weight and moisture but many reputable hot tub websites say that it can be done on the first floor with an exhaust fan and dehumidifier to draw out the moisture. This being the saltwater model I would think it wouldn’t have the typically strong chlorine smell either. Wondering what your take on this is
We haven't really put any of our tubs inside because of splash radius, flooding risk, etc. and we don't fully recommend it, however, it's not impossible. An insulation/absorption mat, fans, and dehumidifiers to draw out the moisture is the best way to go. Make sure wherever you put it, you have space for any splashing water and a way to drain and fill the tub without flooding the room. With the Intex PureSpa Greystone Deluxe (formerly PureSpa Plus), the salt converts to chlorine. It smells less chemically but will still have a faint chlorine smell.
Makes zero sense why mine is not draining. Opened the plug and nothing coming through
Did you open the plug inside and outside the tub? If so, it sounds like it might be clogged.
@@TubTalkReviews it finally drained just slooooow
Can you tell us what are the interior dimensions? I see the overall is 71, but I cannot find the interior ones anywhere.
I don’t know the exacts, but I’d probably say around 61 inches.
The salt link does not seem to be working. Can you verify or suggest what salt to get? Also replacement filters please. And lastly - do you have a maintenance review for this tub? Thank you so much!
Hi there! For the pool salt, try this link: amzn.to/3W5tz5k For replacement filters, we recommend looking at links on Amazon or Intex's site directly. However, the replacement filters can be found here: amzn.to/3W5tz5k (single pack) or amzn.to/3W3Sl5G (multi-pack) Lastly, we don't have a maintenance review for this exact hot tub, but this video we did on maintaining your inflatable hot tub should help with any questions or concerns you have about maintaining the Intex PureSpa Greystone (formely PureSpa Plus): czcams.com/video/kSV8Bqm3WKo/video.html We hope this helps you out on your tubbing journey! Please let us know what else we can help with :-)
So which one would you recommend for a one leg man
If it's just for one person, any of the models will do since they're all about the same size. We, however, liked the Coleman SaluSpa Atlantis a little bit better than the rest, so hopefully you will too! amzn.to/3XugJ33
A little more science would be helpful: 1. Starting temperature. 2. Time immersed. 3. Ending temperature. Advanced science: 1-3 without appliance for comparison. It is clear that you are using it as an additive to the portable's heater, but understanding the actual impact of the immersion heater is not at all clear. Saying it cut the time by 6-7 hours is only helpful understanding my previous suggestion of science 1-3.
We're sorry to hear this review was confusing for you. The starting temperature is without being heated up in general (this depends on your outside temperature at that point). All hot tubs, especially inflatable hot tubs, take some time to warm up for quite a few hours. This, however, depends on the tub but they all are around 12-24 hours. Whichever hot tub you have chosen, this will cut down 6-7 hours of that specific time. We have multiple reviews of many popular inflatable hot tubs on the market where we state how long the heat-up time takes and this accessory can be used to shave that time. The water heater stays in the tub until you want to turn off the heat.
The filter cartridge holder will not attach when trying to screw together!! HELPL
Are you hand tightening them? Have they ever screwed together or do you potentially have a manufacturing defect?
Any issues with this heater since you got it?
No issues! 👍
@@TubTalkReviews Thanks!...What is the max temp this could heat your tub to? My tub heater stops at 102 and id like to get it to 104-106. does it take long?
@@iTzSLythat really shouldn’t take too long if you’re using it to supplement the heater on your hot tub.
Ack, you sold me on the 2 person Relaxtime rated for 17 degrees, but the link just goes to their main page and I cannot find it on there. Are there any others rated that low of temperature?
Sorry about that! Their tubs go in and out of stock, here's the link to that 2-person tub on Amazon: amzn.to/3VU5f6q
This tub is not listed on Intex site. Cannot get the manual. I have no idea how to maintain a salt water system. Do you have to use salt in this tub? Does the manual clearly indicate the operation. Thank you
The Intex PureSpa Plus has been renamed to the PureSpa Greystone Deluxe, you can find it on Amazon with this link: amzn.to/3VY8tpy We do use salt in the tub. We address maintaining the saltwater system at 03:35. Let us know if that helps any!
@TubTalkReviews thank you for replying so quickly. Still cannot find the manual and still don't know if I can only use salt in this tub. Are chlorine/bromine an option? The only manual I can find is for a round tub and it does not say anything about using salt.
@@troylaplante8599 You can use chlorine and bromine -- no problem. Just make sure you have something to put them in (like a chem ball or something that floats on top the water). I'll look and see if I can help you find an online manual.
WE WENT BLUES!!!
Good to hear!
For Relxtime, it seems the trade off for being built into the hot tub itself is that it can't heat and use the jets at the same time. It seems like most other hot tubs can do both at the same time which would be more beneficial in cooler weather. Is this true? It seems really hard to find this information, they don't list these things specifically online from what I can tell. Great video!!
I don’t remember that being a thing, but we just got another one and I will test it out. Either way, this doesn’t make a big difference. When the bubbles are on the hot tub starts cooling off so much that the little bit of heating really won’t make a difference. The hot tub is it going to cool down no matter what when you turn the Jets on because it draws air from the outside. The heaters on these things are not incredibly strong to begin with. So truthfully, the difference will be minuscule, if noticeable at all.
How was temp control? Meaning does the water stay and heat up to temp u want while using it or does it drop like all other inflatable hot tubs? Thanks for the video. Been looking for the right 1 to buy
It keeps heating while you’re in it, but it loses heat faster than a traditional hot tub cuz the mechanism isn’t as strong. Also f you turn on the hydro jets it turns the heating off for some reason, so just make sure you turn it back on. Just two things to keep in mind
no one is talking about the auto shutoff of the bubbles that will not turn back on. I had to turn the GFI off and on to reset it so I could turn the bubbles back on! Is this normal? Is there a workaround? I really would like to have my bubbles on for more then 20 min. Why can I not turn them back on?
This is not something I’m familiar with. We got one of their new models just this week, so we will be sure to test this out.
Video so well done, good work! Thank You :)
Thank you so much for the compliment! We are glad it could be enjoyable for you :)
Do you have to use the saltwater system or could you use regular chlorine too? Pool salt can be difficult to find in my area if it’s not the beginning of summer. Wondering if I could use chlorine when it’s not available and switch to salt when it is.
Using chlorine or bromine would be totally acceptable 👍
Which brand got the strongest material where the hottube is made off. I got 2 shepherds, not that they will go in. But they maybe wil go go have a look and stand with to feet on the side. Sorry for my English.😅 love the videos to🤝🏻💪🏼
We would recommend the Coleman SaluSpa (renamed June 2024 Coleman Palm Springs): amzn.to/4cEyXCY It may still puncture if their nails are long and sharp.
I don't get the heating times. So everytime I want to use the hot tub I have to set it up 12 to 15 hours prior?
No it’s just a power saving method if you choose to use it. You can just leave it on and you’ll be fine
@@TubTalkReviews That’s awesome. Thanks
How do you blow it up once it’s starts deflating?
It shouldn't start deflating after you've blown it up for the appropriate amount of time. You may need to contact the seller if it's new. Otherwise, we recommend waterproof seal tape: amzn.to/3RP4cmW
Can I use an extension cord? If yes, which one would be best to use?
you're not really supposed to. But if you did, which I don't recommend, use a 10 or 12 gauge. It would need to be heavy duty.
@TubTalkReviews Thank you for replying. I pick up a 8ft. 16gauge Only needed apx 5 extra ft. to where I want the hot tub.
So the drain plug is actually higher than the bottom of the tub. How do I get that remaining water out?
No, it’s technically on the bottom the spout just kinda points upwards a little bit, you may have to put the hot tub on its side when it gets to the bottom to get rid of the remaining water, but it’s really not that heavy. And if that’s not an option, you could use something like a pump or vacuum to get the rest out. Draining it should get like 98-99% of the water out.
Does the air pump automatically turn off when it's inflated all the way? I'm afraid to pop mine, but if feels like it could have more air.
No it does not automatically turn off. Just gotta keep an eye on it.
@@TubTalkReviews thanks
This looks like the 2020 model. The 2022 version has a smaller control base and cup holders. I have owned both.
Thanks for pointing this out!! We've looked into this in the past -- and will probably do a new review when they release the next model. Those really seem to be the only two differences we can find between the two. Please let us know if you see anything different!
The prices today are way more expensive than this video's date. I'm not paying what the cost right now.... Hell noooo
We're sorry to hear that. These tubs go on sale often and the prices fluctuate based on where you're purchasing them from. Sometimes that manufacturer themselves are cheaper but Amazon usually has the cheapest prices that we've seen and better sales and deals frequently.

Thanks for the great instructions, our hot tub is arriving tmrw, so excited. We bought the Intex 28449EP PureSpa Plus Greystone Inflatable Square Hot Tub - We are putting it on a cement slab, should we put down a foam floor mat for the tube to sit on?
Hi! Thanks for watching our video, and glad to hear it was helpful. While not necessary, I would highly recommend it.
Do you plan on reviewing the saluspa hollywood?? 😁🤩
We will eventually. What we do know about it, it's extremely similar to the Coleman SaluSpa 140: amzn.to/4bpFS1Q
I love the Saluspa design but currently on their site it’s 2,500$. Such a large gap in price compared to all of their other products. I’ve been looking for other companies with a similar design including the layout and seats, but have had no luck as of yet. I appreciate your video and thank you
Not square - but the Saluspa Santorini is a great pick amzn.to/4eBeZen
I am about to set it up in my backyard... is it ok to use an electrical extension cord?, are you supposed to leave it always plugged?
It's technically not deemed safe to use an extension cord. We only did for filming purposes. If you do, you have to use specific ones that Intex approves but it's not recommended: www.intexdevelopment.com/support/faqlist?catkey=306&lst_lang=2
@@TubTalkReviews Thank you so much.... not sure what to do as my kids want it in the middle of the backyard....does it need to be plugged to the outlet 24/7 or just when you are gonna use it? I'm worried about leave it one when it rains and when on vacation
Can you please make a dedicated video of you reviewing and trying out different hot tub accessories? Such as under water mood lights, cupholders, seats, headrests, etc? 😊
It may or may not be in the works 🤭
so if the saluspa Atlantis was 579, thats pretty cheap huh?
Yeah, that’s a pretty good deal! There are cheaper ones like the Relxtime, but Atlantis is a solid quality choice.
