I went to see it, without giving spoilers it played like it could be a great western, but the tempo is playing like a strange Tarantino anthology of a westerner. Makes me excited to see the future installments!!!

Perhaps the movie scenes shot were fit together poorly or too quickly....not sure what that is called. Missing scenes for continuity of the story leads to a disjointed story. And this IMHO is tragic as the story deserved better, more careful development. I believe the movie needed more time after the scenes were all done to be put together so the flow of all the different stories had the viewers wanting to see more and know more about them. Gorgeous scenery, well acted for the most part, honest story of western expansion realities should have been given better attention to how the story flows. JMHO

Not difficult to follow at all. It's a great movie and really looking forward to the rest. It simply isn't a brainless superhero movie or remake so an entire generation of viewers have no clue how to process it.

I had no problem following the storylines or the dialogue. Patience grasshopper.

Beautiful cinematography.. overly long, slow.. enjoyed it, and i will be looking forward to the next episode. But; i can understand why many may not buy into it..

TWISTERS was so UN-realistic. 😢 The lead male is supposedly a rising CZcams star ... but hardly any cell phones are to be seen in the hands of the townspeople or other cast members. The citizens of Oklahoma are shown watching or participating in outdoor entertainments (rodeo, baseball and street festivals) blissfully UNAWARE that major storms are brewing. BELIEVE me when I say that in Oklahoma, the tornado sirens in the cities would be going off. People would not be caught off guard. The people in the age of CZcams would have cell phones out and they'd be tracking the storms. Also, cell phones would be going off with thunderstorm warnings. ⚠️ The small teams of tornado chasers would not need to warn citizens. Not impressed with the script writing.

I completely agree with your verdict. I thought the acting wasn’t great from much of the cast. There was cheeses in the dialogue that I rolled my eyes about. I think Costner packed in way too much story for chapter 1. I liked it but didn’t love it.

I agree with the reviewer on almost all the points. I want to like it it's a beautiful put together film that's a really difficult to follow, The jumps around so much I kept thinking I was falling asleep but I wasn't.

I liked it. Of course, I cried. Unless I misunderstood, it was encouraging people to reach out and foster/ adopt. But, I feel the solution is way deeper than that. We need to get to the root of the problem of too many children being brought into this world unloved and not being able to financially or mentally being able to provide for their child. The problem will just continue and never get better with just fostering/adopting. So, as families foster or adopt, the population must go down and stay down. If it isn’t, then the problem is not being addressed.

I agree it was an above average film, I enjoyed it. I do have to say the ending montage was awful. Literally one of the worst I have ever seen, its not the visuals that were bad, its the pace, the placement and the time lapses. Who in gods green earth saw that montage in production and was like yes let's add this. SMH. Having said all that, it's still a good film and I think it will really take off end of chapter two, start of chapter three. So we shall see.

Horizon pt1 mostly sucked! Cutting the Violence to PG13 level was a huge disappointment...it made the Native Americans look like clowns. The story was far-fetched and jumped around, making it hard to tell where you were in the story. The buildings on the set were poor quality and inauthentic. Most of the characters did a decent job for what they had to work with. If you are going to do a Western, you need to portray it as it really was, not like an old John Wayne Movie.

This sounds awful. I saw a few minutes of the first episode and couldn’t watch the rest. Hopefully this doesn’t get a second season.

Im happy with this review! I thought bthe film was great! I'm the other side, chiracauhua Apache, and I wasn't offended but sad at the way my ancestors had to fight fir their own lands. We still have reservations. How absurd, genocide was committed by the millions. Many tribes were completely descimated.

Love the movie. It’s the story of America. A story about freedom, hope, and tragedy all mixed together. Loved that he didn’t make the native people the bad guys. The women were amazing and the story shows that problems come to people sometimes unexpectedly. It’s not overly simplistic …it’s a story for intelligent viewers.

I saw this movie today and loved it! Can't wait till Chapter 2 is out.

Saw it. I give it 4 our of 10. I will not be going to future segments. Very disappointed.

The best going again

As a serious western fan I found it lacks substance continuity and could have been covered in less than an hour. I kept waiting for something to grab me. Then it did the sudden teaser for chapter 2 grabbed my wallet saying it's going to cost another $80 bucks to be further let down. It's not dances with wolves.
