Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization created by doctors and journalists in France in 1971.
Today, MSF provides aid in more than 70 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, negligence, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. MSF provides independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. MSF reserves the right to speak out to bring attention to neglected crises, to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocols.

Severe malnutrition rise among children in northern Nigeria
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeing an alarming increase in severely malnourished children with life-threatening complications at our medical facilities in northern Nigeria.
MSF is calling for more action from authorities and humanitarian organizations in this region, including preventative action. The persistent malnutrition crisis in northern Nigeria stems from a variety of factors, such as inflation, food insecurity, insufficient health care infrastructure, ongoing security issues, and disease outbreaks worsened by low vaccine coverage.

Abortion is murder and is NEVER essential.
For those disagreeing with what was done: you do understand that if the mother dies the baby does too? You would rather have them both die, than have one live? Is not saving someone when you can not also a problem? You can have your own oppinion on certain reasons for an abortion, but when it is medically necessary there is no point in arguing. It is medically and moraly the only right thing to do.

Unfortunately these type of nutrition programmes are not sustainable and reinforce dependence rather than sovereignty and capacity building. For example, is the supplemental food produced locally with accessible and culturally appropriate foods? And are communities given opportunities to do training in food transformation so that they themselves can make supplemental foods for children once MSF leaves these villages and ends the programme?
