Weird. You totally omitted to explain why the Dalai Lama banned the propitiation of shugden. It was banned because of the violent sectarianism that is a feature of the shugden cult. This was spelled out by Pabongkha, the lama responsible for popularising the cult. He wrote a text known as the Yellow Book which was filled with stories of how shugden killed gelugpa lamas who chose to practice teachings of other traditions, particularly dzogchen. Trijang Rinpoche also wrote a book called the melodious drum. This was a book of praise to shugden recounting how it killed Gelugpa lamas and followers of other sects who practiced dzogchen. These books were popularised at precisely the time the Dalai Lama, a Gelugpa Lama, took an interest in taking teachings from other sects and practicing dzogchen. These books were used to threaten the life of the Dalai Lama, saying he would die if he took dzogchen teachings.

Actually it wasn’t Trijang Rinpoche who invited Kelsang Gyatso to the UK, it was the late Lama Yeshe. In my opinion they should start saying the truth about simple issues like that.

It is a convenient political weapon in a theocratic government. The Dorje Shugden “controversy” is just just the latest installment of this. It’s pretty obvious that’s it’s a violation of freedom of religion, a basic human right , to ostracize people for their religious beliefs and deny them rights. It is also completely against the principles of vajrayana buddhism to go against one’s guru. The Dalai Lama’s own guru Trijang Rinpoche, practiced Dorje Shugden his whole life and is revered as buddha throughout Tibet.

Both can be Karmapa as we know how in other way or only one is Karmapa or it's just Chinese tatics to rule over Tibet. We all know after Dalai lama Karmapa is the most influence Buddhist leader in Tibet.China doesn't want to free Tibet (so they have to keep this leader under them under their control as of to control whole Tibetan and also to make sure that this religious leaders dont get involved in politics) but Which they were unable to do so on H.H Dalai lama and Karmapa. So after Karmapa also fled to India this drama of new Karmapa started. That's my point of understanding in Chinese politics. Keeping aside this politic things if they claims him to be Karmapa and is doing good for sentient beings and practicing Buddhism then good. As we know Karmapa can manifest in many forms maybe he can be one,maybe not we never know.
