He certainly has the teeth of a Brit.
Is this the PRN Radio broadcast feed from this race? I recognize Ken Squier's voice but who is the rest of the announce team on the call for this event? Just for the record, Ridgeway is basically Martinsville, VA.
I believe that's Hill Overton and Donnie Allison. Don't quote me on it though
If the tank had caught fire, would this have been a hot lap 🤔
I think the commentator is being a bit dramatic when he says this could have been a tragedy, but I get where he's coming from. Rather than fire/explosions, I'd be more worried about taking a fuel can to the face!
Big brain move: he doesn’t have to stop to refuel
Danica: "Eddie's an idiot!" Eddie: "Oh yeah? Well would an idiot do THIS!?" 1:50 (also that transition was smooth af)
Eddie Cheever was right up her tailpipe...
Jimmy Hensley is probably one of the most talented but underrated drivers NASCAR ever had in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Some of the best examples of this talent was him scoring the pole for Dale Earnhardt at the 1989 Fall Martinsville race, finishing in the Top 10 at the same race in 1991 driving an unsponsored car for Team III Racing, and a successful rookie of the year campaign in 1992(Albeit with no competition and having not run all of the races). All of this success Hensley had to me vindicates Alan Kulwicki's wish that he would substitute for him in the event he could not drive his #7 car, and when he did so following Kulwicki's plane crash in 1993, he performed admirably until he was replaced by Geoff Bodine later in the season(Brock Beard's recent series "After Alan" is a fantastic look into this story). It's a shame that he didn't get an opportunity earlier in his life to race in Cup, as I think he would have had a solid career there.
Bro 😂
This is from the 1986 Winn Dixie 300 at Charlotte.
They dont build those gas tanks like they used to anymore
They're bigger now.
I know what's wrong with it! AIN'T GOT NO GAS IN IT!
He misunderstood Gas'N'Go....
ding
"What the hECK Is ThAt ThInG??" The way bro said it 😭
These cars still had manual gearboxes in '06? I had no idea. Thought they had paddleshift for a while by this point.
They had until 2007, curiously in that year, the Champ Car series introduced the paddle shifters with the new chassis which lasted only that season...
They were sequential, so not true manual H pattern.
The Eddie Cheever silliness compilation
I really wish they would come back to the Glen.
Gotcha nose😂
