The mall of my youth in the 80’s and 90’s before I moved to central Florida in 1998. My Mom worked at that Bon-Ton in the 80’s and later worked as a manager at the Fashion Bug in the mid 90’s. This mall was our taste of civilization and pop culture. It still holds a warm place in my memories from back then.

The McDonald's from my childhood memory was just torn down and is in the process of being rebuilt to modern spec. Southbridge, MA. One of the last of the 70s design. Anyone remember that brief mid 90s teal redesign?

McDonald's was just such an integral part of my childhood growing up in the 70's and 80's. We went all the time. I had one of my birthday parties there. Thanks for the nostalgia. I don't eat that stuff anymore so haven't set foot in one of their restaurants in years.

The best McDonald’s had a play place after you eat as a kid you could go play afterwards and burn off calories so fun !

My sister was there with my niece last week, they had a blast. It was great to hear The Heidlburg is still open. So many wonderful memories!!!

A McDonalds in NYC near Wall St, WTC area, had a baby grand piano on the balcony people would play. It was very nice. I worked in the area in the eighties and nineties. I believe it was removed around 2014. So even after 9/11 it continued.

Technically of a hippopotamus gets you in its mouth you're done. And they do bite and they do do some serious damage. They use their teeth those large tests that we got and they will puncture through your body. They will charge after you if you come across them and you don't get out of their water quick enough they're going to run after you in the water. They're fast on the water they're pretty fast on land. But on land the speed is a little bit not as fast as it would be there in the water.

You do realize that Sonic the hedgehog is actually a hedgehog and not an echidna. An echidna is not related to hedgehogs. They're actually in the same family group that the platypus is in. It is a mammal that lays eggs in lactate. It doesn't technically have nipples but it does lactaid. It may resemble the looks of a hedgehog but it is far from a hedgehog. The echidna does share a food interest with anteaters. It is technically an anteater it is a species of anteater I do believe. It does eat ants and termites and small worms. But it is in no shape or form a hedgehog. And hedgehogs in a kidneys like I said they do look alike but they're not the same creature. Kidding is to get bigger than hedgehogs. And they really don't roll up in a ball like a hedgehog does. They tend to borrow them and bury their underbelly into the dirt to protect themselves and they use a little prickly bits to deter something that was trying to eat it

I miss the old Mc Donalds where you order , they throw it in a bag and you got your order before you get your change back into your wallet, now they assemble them in the back under a heat lamp , instead of in the front assembled and boxed under a heat lamp .....for suckers thinking they are actually cooking food

The banana splits were way before my time but i thought the movie looked interesting and it certainly was it actually pretty scary

Where i am, we still have some retro looking restaurants. Ive never seen a green roof mcdonalds. Ive never seen that garbage can with an ashtray. You shouldve seen if payphone worked. You must be from nj area. Thats great. Thanks.

The one in manchester NH still has the classic outside but the inside was redone sadly

I've never seen a McDonald's building with a green roof before. I remember seeing one with a blue roof once somewhere years ago, I don't know where, but NOT with a green one.

When I was growing up, Burger King seemed to be a close second to McDonalds, but now I rarely ever see a Burger King anywhere, in fact I don't even remember the last time I even saw a sign for a new Burger King being built. While I agree that McDonalds no longer has the same magic it did back in the day, you have to admire the fact that they've managed to remain the "top dog" all these years with no sign of any other fast-food chain surpassing them.

I was a page in the capital when I was 14 going on 15, and I spent the whole summer in DC. I loved the Smithsonian. I spent a lot of time there. I remember a giant octopus on display. It was a dead speciman in the largest cooler I had ever seen. This cooler had to be at least 25ft long. Im 55 now and would love to tour it again. Sadly, I dont have anyone in my life that would find it as interesting as I do. Thank you!

The last time my McDonald's got remodeled was in 2018. Later, another one in my area got remodeled and they removed the Playplace I grew up with.

There is one Burger King in piqua Ohio that’s a early 2000s blue roof, it has the old fountains even the logos on them are are old it’s like you really went back in time, the only modern stuff they have in there is just the tv menus and the drive through. The service is like Chick-fil-A there.

When I was a kid, we had a sit-down McDonald’s restaurant in our shopping mall. It was not a food court, but a large interior space, almost as big as The Gap. (In fact I think it was next door to The Gap) The McDonald’s was a totally themed environment with a forest with McDonaldLand characters (you sat on little stumps or fry guys and ate at large stumps) and a McDonaldLand Mayor McCheese, Grimace, and Hamburgler seating section

How long would you say the walk is in this whole garden?

Not only has McDonalds gone the bland rebrand route, but so has everyone else as a result. BK, Wendy's, Taco Bell, its really a shame to see these bland buildings proliferate since they look like the architectural version of boring midlife existence.

I kind of missed the older style of McDonald’s that I grew up in going to when I was little. The McDonald’s that I went to that I liked was remodeled the inside of the restaurant last month inside. It was rebuilt a few years ago. The old school one was torn down. Even watching it rebuilt in a new modern building. There was another McDonald’s in the same town was remodeled inside.

One in Williamsburg Va Richmond rd

Here in Australia our 90s McDonald's had the exact floor tiles as were in the Burger King you showed. And they all had the cream booth seats and swivel chairs with pistachio green accents. Interestingly, the Mansard roof wasn't associated with the McDonald's I remember, but the Pizza Huts. Some of the buildings still exist to this day (though none of them Pizza Huts).

Ha - I remember in the 70s when they were all changing to the mansard roof design, and all the McDs with the sloping roof with the two arches were being converted.
