    That is a great question. I do not have a different video. The only difference for inspections, I would ensure hair is super tight and add more gel/ties so nothing moves during RLP or drill. If you have fine hair, the Got2b glue worked well.

    Do you happen to have a video on how to style your hair for inspections?

    Are candidates allowed to have a watch during the whole ocs?

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před 4 měsíci

      Yes but watches will need to be the standard basic watch. Some evolutions may require you to take off all watches for safety.

    Thanks for this informative video, I have few questions: What are some exercises that you will recommend for folks wanting to go OCS to get involved into? What are some materials that someone can start reading before getting to OCS? Are you prior enlisted? What are somethings you wish you knew before going to OCS? thanks once again.

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před 10 měsíci

      Absolutely! I recommend running, HIIT and mock PRTs over and over to get your scores up. Don’t show up weak. Good form or the sharks will see your lack of preparation. Be smart, memorize appendix bravo and get the recent OCR floating around the internet and start memorizing all the basics. i.e, watchstanding principles, ranks, creed, oath. I’m rare and non prior/not straight from college and no connections to mil. For context, why I made my channel. I look back and believe I prepared well through research on air-warriors daily. I read every thread. Winter months were tough. I met the most amazing people, incredible staff and enjoy the class I was part of. Every class is different and the staff intentionally place challenges to see how you work through it and often times together. Be mindful of their tactics. Stay sharp and stay motivated for the entire duration. Do not remove your belt, do not DOR. This path isn’t for the weak in mind, body or spirit. Add: moleskin is your friend. Bring extra. Bring a ninja star to measure. Shoe inserts not needed if you double sock - saved our lives.

    Thank you for this! It was just what I was looking for. I was so worried. Do you have to go to OCS if you were enlisted before? Or do you go to ODS? I’m looking to join but I want to enlist first. I already have a bachelors degree. Thanks in advance if you see this.

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před rokem

      Message me. So many details to share. Short answer. Depends on designators and programs. Enlisted also go to OCS but our med/jags/chaps go to ODS. If you have a degree, put in a package. Numerous individuals did both and ended up getting picked up for OCS before ship date!

    Do you get to choose orders or a duty station at the end of ocs or the training schools that follow or is it predetermined?

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před rokem

      Hello! Orders depend on your designator. Each detailer has their own parameters, training schedule, etc. Flight goes directly to OHARP or FL. SWO select ships at the end of OCS, etc. Training schools typically go follow OCS.

    Any tips on getting appendix b down? 😅

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před 2 lety

      Start with the ranks then move to general orders then watch standing principles! Remember it must be VERBATIM. I encourage someone to quiz you. Do not overlook the way standing principles! Some did in my class. I recommend, reading out loud in addition to using quizlet (this is helpful since you will be questioned on the spot in pways potentially at any point but it will prep you for RLP regardless! You never know - at OCS knowledge may get you out of demerits. I would recommend knowing Bravo and Charlie (Charlie can be memorized in a day) before arrival in Newport. Unless you have an incredible memory with looking at knowledge. Fair warning: Delta is a beast - even for the priors.

    • @jmcapitul0
      @jmcapitul0 Před 2 lety

      @@katiesites11 yikes! Got it! Thank you! Rn ive been listening to them on repeat through quizlet, but it doesnt read some of the really long ones 😅. Will definitely start reading them out loud. For charlie and delta we have time to do the at ocs right? Haha no need to get ahead of it?

    • @katiesites11
      @katiesites11 Před 2 lety

      @@jmcapitul0 yes, both Charlie/Delta are totally able to memorize at OCS. However, if you have time on the front end - I would make yourself familiar with both!
