Beautiful playing.. love to see more collaboration with Eric Johnson
Such great music!!
I remember seeing Robben back on the Tiger Walk tour, and I was there hours before and well after, waiting in line to get something signed. When I finally got my chance to approach, I blurted out the first thing I could think of - "wu wu when's your next album???"... to which he coolly looked me over, thought for a sec, then stated profoundly "we just gave you the new record?" Well, done, Mr. Ford, what do I know. This dude oozes cool and has music as thoughts, what a pure musician!
Landau from 11.30
Great set guys! I got lost in the groove and no one can find me. 😊
Luv it! Unfortunately the recording sounds like garbage to my blown out ears.
WTF!?
Jimmy Johnson from Mpls. and the group "Flim and the BB's" set some bench marks.
I’ve always loved his tone. Would love to play an Alembic someday. Saw him record at Ocean Way one time. An Avalon compressor, a little bump at 100 hz, nothing more. Pure genius player. Nice to hear him again.
Outstanding! Omg, the Les Paul tone tho... perfection. Came here thanks to Tim Pierce.
Damn, Lukather plays some really beautiful stuff over the changes. Moreover, that tone is the best I think I've heard from Luke, playing anything other than a Les Paul. Fantastic video.
Keys by Jeff were also awsome! Excellent by all!
Thanks to Tim Pierce for providing the link to this video. Truly awesome
That’s super cool
Indeed!! Thanks Tim, I have never seen this before. Just WOW!
Yes! That’s how I found this too.. so raw so good, thanks!
Yep, he sent me here as well.
Yes! Thank you Tim! I haven’t even seen this performance yet but I know it will be magnificent
Landau has the absolute best toner I've ever heard from a Les Paul...EVER !
Shades of Beck and Hammer ... brilliant playing!
What's the song starting at 39:55? It seems pretty familiar but somehow escaped me.
2 legends
끝내주는 전설의 레전드!
I was in the front row that night.
Damn ! Must have been so nice
Did you shoot video too? There’s a sign on the stage that expressly forbids taking videos or photos.
Absolutely not. I know Luke and respect the fact that when he plays the Potato he just wants to have fun and not have people aiming their phones at him. He wants everyone to be into the music and the performance because there's nothing like seeing Luke in this tiny club.
Thanks for the upload :-)
This is the first time seeing him live. A legend! Rare that a guy can be heavily schooled, and rip on psychedelia. One of my top 2 favorite axe men. Jeff Beck the other. RIP thank you so much
This drummer is on fire.
Bass is cooking also
I'm going to see Mike Landau playing with Eric Johnson and Keith Carlock tomorrow in San Antonio.
Damn ! Should be insane.
what a great catch to see the Blueline with Robben play with Sonny Landreth, huh? Just wish the recording was as good as the players...
Almost 30 years ago, so no HD or 4K recording then. I find it pretty acceptable myself.
Thanks! You may want to add "Hope" /Mahavishnu Orchestra on the list between Crosswinds and Freedom. They were playing only an intro but to play this song at the high school prime was amazing. Baked Potato was my favorite live house in LA. I saw TOTO playing incredible Jazz at Bake Potato 34 years ago.
ボズ・スキャッグスとマイク ランドウ最高の組合せですよね🎉日本に来日したんですね❤
Landau has so much control and command over dynamics. Incredible!
Lukather crushing it !
Landau !!!!!!
Decades ago i saw joe pass at this club it was a humbling experience !😊
Did he forget how to play like that when he was in Toto?
GOOD STUFF!

That’s the shiznit! 😎 Many thanks, man! 🙏🏻
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Praise to Toss, NO kick working in the first song. Did you notice?
Not humans
😍😍😍
Sur l'album moi c'est Oukalé Oukalé ma meilleure. La guitare est incroyable.
I've always seen Robben playing in a more jazzy vein, so great to see him just get into some gnarly pentatonic riffing....he does it all, masterfully!
That 20 years went by quick.
Didn't it just! 🎉🎉🎉
Wowwww Amazing!!! ❤❤❤
Legends!
If you like this, checkout Greg Mathieson Project, Baked Potato Super Live from 1982 with Jeff Porcaro on drums. It's amazing!!!
Thank you so much for these. Absolute gold
Merci encore une fois Olric.
fantastic document, thanks fo sharing...David Paich on keys on Red house jam ..and Luke on drums on Mercy Mercy Mercy is amazing
I will once again spend hours with my latest synthesizer (Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave) trying to get Luke’s Roodis solo tone, (no attempt at his notes), and I will likely fail.😞 (“the struggle is real” 😂). But I will have fun trying. Man that’s a thing of beauty.
