Welcome to my channel.
My videos are about having fun with motorbikes, 4x4s, canoes and adventure :-)
Mostly travel & some maintenance & mods.
Some videos will include hiking tracks. Videos will be eventually from all states with some longer trips planned.
I film when I travel & edit when I'm home so sometimes there may be months go by without publishing, then a few in a row. Depends if I've got any interesting content to share.
I welcome your feedback / comments.
Hope you find something interesting to watch.
I have also added links below for unlisted videos with limited audience appeal.
Cheers Jeff

Why not use cam locks?
Hi, a cam lock would be better as dirt wouldn't stick to the thread as it does sometimes. I didn't know about cam lock fittings when I built this but it would be a good idea to change over to cam locks. Thanks. Cheers Jeff
Listing those tyres was a great help, Jeff, I've found them online and affordable. I live in western Victoria and ride about 40% dirt, so looking forward to ditching the City Demons. I'm curious: it seems the baffle plates have been removed on this bike. Ifyou did that, did you do much to the carb? How did you find the sound?
Hi Matt, the guy I bought the bike from removed the baffles & re-jetted the carbie. I don't have the details of jet size. The exhaust sounded really good. I sold that bike when I moved from Tennant Creek as I couldn't take everything. It was a fun bike. The only other thing that I would have liked to do was put on wider handle bars with risers & paint the rims black. Have fun. Cheers Jeff
Thanks Jeff.
Glad to see you back in 2024 with a great video. Planning to head out to the desert on my postie and looking at wet weather gear. I have seen you with some different jackets. Do you have any recommendations?
Hi Anna, all I use for wet weather is plastic jacket & pants that fit over my riding gear. Works ok. If you're doing your trip in Winter it should be dry. Have fun. Cheers Jeff
Nice work mate!
Thanks Raymond, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Jeff
Pity we don't get to see the bike.
Hi mate check out some of my other videos. The plan & prep for my 3000km trip shows details & there are videos showing the long range fuel tank setup. Cheers Jeff
Great stuff I loved the story you should definitely do more with stories like this 👍
Thanks mate. If I can include an interesting story I will. It also makes it more interesting for me making the video. Cheers Jeff
Good one Jeff, just made comment on FB as I have a personal connection with this story through my uncle, who was the pilot on the doomed 1930 expedition. I was hoping you;d find the reef!
Ha, it would be nice to find the reef. Great that you have a historic connection with this Australian story. Cheers Jeff
Good to see you back Jeff & such an interesting video too, cheers!
Thanks mate, glad you found it interesting. Cheers Jeff
Just purchased a Supercub and your videos where my go to for servicing and repairs. Thanks for taking the time to make them!
Thanks mate, have fun riding. Cheers Jeff
i have never seen nor touched snow in real life and i have no interest in snow, the dry season in the n.t is bloody cold enough !
Hi Rick it was fun to ride in it. I dropped the bike once but didn't have the camera on ha. I was lucky to be up there on such a beautiful day. Cheers Jeff
fair dinkum, i did not know that you are a fellow territorian !
Hi Rick, I've lived in the NT for many years mainly Alice Springs, Tennant Creek. I even spent a year in Arnham Land. Cheers Jeff
I've always got time for a Super Cub video. Thanks for sharing. I have traveled most of the US, and I hope to see the world next; this looks very interesting. If you ever make it to the US, get some bike path maps / books from ebay and a "Trail Closed" sign to hang on your bike. The bike paths and national road 40 can help get you around the country and avoid fast highways. 40 has multiple lanes and was replaced by interstate 70. The sign will allow you to pass through any area that has people using the path; it's rare to see others on the trail, and you're gone before anyone has time for a second look. Most of the system is paved and easy to ride. Northern New Mexico and Utah are beautiful. Any place along the Colorado River is beautiful. Yellowstone is pretty but very remote. The roads in Wyoming east of Yellowstone are very long, fast (80 mph) with nothing in-between. Would not be fun on a Super Cub. The cross-country trail system goes east through missouri and follows the Ohio River through the midwest. Avoid the cities; the rural people along the countryside will let you camp in their barn yards and use the well water pump. Nobody will harass, harm, or rob you. They will help as much as they can. Almost nobody knows what a Super Cub is, but they are not threatened by them compared to other motorcycles. The smaller cities will have Honda motorcycle/ atv dealers to get parts from. Not likely to have stock, but they will likely sell you a critical part from a new motorcycle model on display and replace it later since you're traveling through. They usually have some mini-moto in stock. The CT series has always been the most common of the Honda mini moto's. I have a rebuilt red / white 1964 C102 Super Cub with Lifan 125cc electric / kick start, 4 speed semi auto, knobby tires and a 2022 red CT125. I rebuilt the 64, painted it red, and added baskets like ED's old bike. Last I heard, ed's red bike disappeared going through customs in France. I saw Rachel's old bike in the background of a video after that. So I think he still has it, but it's in England, and Ed had been staying in the Moab Utah area when not working. Don't know where he is at now, hope for another video.
Wow thanks mate for sharing so much info. I would love to ride that trip. Cheers Jeff
Another Cub channel! 😊 Subbed!
Thanks mate.
Interesting bit of history, thank’s Jeff.
Thanks mate.
Awesome video, Jeff. Well done, mate.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Jeff
Does this say 1985 stamped on the neckplate?
Yes mate.
@Jeff4fun here in the states there was no official 1985, the 1984 was Sold into 1985. Been looking for an actual 1985 plated ct110
Thanks for that Jeff, great video
Thanks Thomas, I'm glad you found it useful. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun Which manual that you D/L again call?
The CRF110F manual is good for the engine as it's the same just not fuel injected. I did find a link for the NBC110 workshop manual & download it. They are easy to work on by following the steps in the manual. There are also files in the Facebook Honda Cub NBC group's. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun Thanks for that Jeff
You boi’s down under have got it right , looks brilliant pal 👌

thanks for the video mate, you said change the oil every thousand kilometres, what oil do you recommend ?
G'day Rick. I use Motul 5100 4T 10w-40 or Honda 4 stroke motorcycle oil 10w-30. Cheers Jeff
This bike seems different to mine. The nuts and scews don't match up. 2013 nbc110 .
Hi Phillip, that's strange as my bike is also a 2013 NBC110. Did you get your clutch adjusted ok. Cheers Jeff
That was good video and well explained, apricate it. also I think the ryms would look nice painted black
Thanks Alek, I agree with you re black rims. I had to sell this bike when I moved as I had too much stuff. It was a fun bike. Cheers Jeff
Great set of videos Jeff thank you 😊
Thanks Nicholas, it was a fun trip. Cheers Jeff
Howdy Jeff !! Tim in Missouri. I finally got a trail125 bought. Now.. I need pointers, on how to turn it into a proper Australian postie farm bike. #1 Knobby's #2 gear it down..13/45 ? #3 brush guards #4 center rack/headlight rack Your thoughts????
Hi Tim, sounds like you're planning for some fun. I have Wildboar Claw tread 2.75-17 on the front & 3.0-17 back. I'm guessing that other brands will be available in the US. My gearing is a compromise between on & off road at 15 -37. Your bike will have a bit more power as mine is 110cc. I suppose you'll try it out on the tracks & see how it goes. I have to put my boot down for a bit of help on steep tracks. Try Ebay for racks etc. Let me know how you go. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun yours is higher geared than mine.. stock, mine is 14/39 .. But keep in mind .I'm a big boy,280# I'm hoping to be able to still get 45+ mph with 13/45 Maybe? I shouldn't run out of power in 1st gear. I've found some 2.75 knobbys. 33 dollars each. I'll keep you posted on how this goes.
Hi, how many total kilometers did the cub has passed ? Thanks
48250km. Cheers Jeff
Nice one!
Thanks Matt, it was a fun ride. Cheers Jeff
Well done Jeff , a great set of videos ,
Thanks Kevin glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Jeff
I want to do exactly what you do with my honda super cub 110 from Perth to Exmouth. Some people told me it can be very dengerous because of the Camper van and trucks, and also because of kangaroos. Any opinion?
Hi mate, your planned trip sounds great. Riding a more powerful bike would mean that you are traveling at the same speed as the other traffic but greater chance of a roo encounter. I found most vehicles were able to overtake quickly & gave me room. I had one roo jump out in front of me ( didn't have the camera on) but as I was riding slower I was able to miss it. I reckon keep an eye on the traffic & enjoy the adventure. Cheers Jeff
I lived in south Australia, back in the uk now
G'day from Australia. Cheers Jeff

Merry Christmas Jeff. You might have to take the top off a couple of coldies in that heat. 🍺

Merry Xmas mate. Hope you have a good one.
I imagine there's not many tourists out there due to the heat.
Not many but I am surprised that tourists are still arriving.
@@Jeff4fun They are brave....
I wanna ask how to connect the extra tank to the original one,or I need to modify the fuel system to the extra one and stop using original?
My Supercub is fuel injected & the pump is in the main tank. No modification is made to the original fuel system apart from installing a fuel tap to the bottom of the main tank. I leave this tap open. The auxiliary tank has a tap on its outlet. The auxiliary tank then gravity feeds into the main tank when you open the auxiliary tank tap. Hopefully this makes sense when you watch the video. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun oh yeah i got it.I will keep trying to add tank to my bike though it's carburettor XD
With a carburetor bike you could just use your reserve fuel line from your main tank (block the main fuel hose) then run a fuel hose from your extra tank & connect that to your carburetor main inlet. Hope that makes sense. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun ok I'll try and thanks bro👍
Nice one mate, I'm thinking of picking up a postie as a fun bike to have.
Thanks mate the little Honda's are great fun. The CT110's are popular or the newer NBC110 fuel injected like the one in this video. If you buy a NBC of the auctions you may have to change the cam chain & tensioner plus a few bits. Easy to work on & parts are cheap. Cheers Jeff
I just watched all four segments. This was wonderful, thanks so much for sharing! I gave up riding five years ago, after years of doing it every weekend (had a blog, Contemplative Motorcycling, where I recorded a lot of rides). I gave up because I moved to an area with so many kangaroos that, within three months, I crashed into them at highway speeds...twice! Figured I'd had a good innings but it was time to hang up the helmet. Have missed riding ever since, and this last few days have been thinking that a CT or NBC would be a good compromise, as it will force me to go slow, probably just doing 50 on local forest and farm roads. Your videos have cemented the desire!
Am I right in gathering the you were cruising on 75kmh most of the way?
Thanks Mat. The little Honda's are great fun. So easy to explore back roads. Most of this trip was around 75 to 80kph. Head wind really slowed me down but if you're on back roads you won't care. Great just to get out for a ride. Cheers Jeff
Having sat for years its most likely a stuck valve issue
Hi Trevor, you are probably right with that as it ended up running fine with no major work done. Hard to kill a Honda CT :-) Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun they certainly are my friend!!!!
Nice video, where can I get the manual from?
Hi Jake. You can download a CRF110 workshop manual from Manualslib. Same engine as NBC just not fuel injected. Lambda Motorcycles sell hard copies. Cheers Jeff
A great video - thanks for sharing!
Thanks Donal glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Jeff
How to set egzhaust and intake? For 110 cc thanks
I hope the video helps. Cheers Jeff
Great videos and great rides . Keep it up 👍👍
Thanks mate, it was a fun trip. Cheers Jeff
What's the PVC pipe for and how is it attached?
My folding chair is in there. Strapped to rack with stainless cable ties. Cheers Jeff
Which vid is about you mounting an extra fuel tank ?
The first 2 videos on my channel. My Postie bike is fuel injected so the extra tank gravity feeds into the main tank. I originally used a XR250 tank but it was too old & leaked so I fitted a pit bike tank.
Any spare tyre or pump ?
I started with new tyres & carried spare tubes, a 12v compressor, tyre gel & air cylinders. I had to get a new back tyre mid trip. Cheers Jeff
Thats what im preparing for too on a 190xr. Cairns to Perth. Hows Ur butt 😂
Hi the seat is really comfortable but I had lots of short stops to stretch. Your trip sounds like fun. I have another video that shows what I did for prep & carrying. Cheers Jeff
Are you planning on riding via Yulara? I'll be working there for the next 2 years so depending when you travel maybe I'll catch up with you. I would like to get some feedback on how your Honda goes. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun I'm waiting for parts for the xr190 a farm bike . And want to do cape York from Cairns. And one day to Perth from Cairns.
Great to getaway on a small bike. I reckon a light bike is the way to go. Cheers Jeff
@@Jeff4fun yes I believe so too. The 650s are all to high and to heavy, I'll fall over standing still 😂. I saw Ur packing stuff vid now I have an idea about what to pack too. So U navigate with the phone just on google maps ? And how do you find the gas station distances all within reach ?
i worked out there anr changing out old sleepers for concrete ones planes used to land in front the pub there also there was a cricket pitch on road i d like to get out there for mem refresh one day
I worked there in the mid 60's for the Commonwealth railways. I was 17 years old. Our accommodation were railway carriages converted into small rooms, no air conditioning, searing heat in summer and freezing in winter. I'm now 76 and live back in the UK but visit Oz frequently. (I remember playing cricket there! )
It's an interesting place to visit. Thanks for sharing your story. Cheers Jeff
The sound track suits the ride . Love it . Thanks for the trip looks a beautiful place ✨️ 😊 😍

Very impressed with these little bikes , I feel an urge coming on 😂 great scenery 👍
Yes the little Honda's are great fun & so easy to use off road as well. Even rode it in snow & ice last trip with no problems. Cheers Jeff
Very enjoyable, I particularly enjoyed the way you eased off the music into the sound of the bike entering a new destination and some voices, well done. I do hope you don’t mind me making a suggestion it regarding the picture quality. I am of course not familiar with your circumstances but if possible a better camera giving better picture quality would be a massive improvement. Even so you do a great job and it makes me want to be with you on a super cub.
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed it. I always appreciate feedback. The videos are uploaded in 4k but depending on your internet speed you may not get the full quality. You can select a higher quality playback. Hope this helps. Cheers Jeff
Great stuff, I ride my ct110 postie through the bush too, it will go almost anywhere I am game enough to go. Beautiful view
