Does toughbook cf-19 have a fan? If not, would it be possible to add a fan inside? I noticed that mine tends to feel hotter compared to normal laptops.
It did not come with a fan. Adding one is a good question, but I'm not sure how you could add one, not much room in them. Let me know if you find any further info on that.

I want to replace the touchscreen of this on a CF-W8, or just take its motherboard and put it on the T8. Do you think it's possible? Not sure what's wrong, but they r both not working. Long story short is it possible to remove the whole panel, or the whole monitor with hinges and everything? First stage of the mission failed, I need new screwdrivers
its 250 not 4 gb
lately I noticed my cf-10 is generating a lot of heat even at idle. I tried to blow it with compressed air doesn't seem to help a lot. Any suggestions? Thank you sir.
I've never had a cf-10 so I'm not sure about that model. I typically make sure the fan is turning on as it heats up, replace thermal paste, and make sure all dust is cleaned out of my machines. If there is no fan, then I would check all the thermal pads and make sure the sensor cables are in good shape.
Just got a replacement for my CF-18NHH85BM and as it turns out it's probably the driver board that went on mine 😅, any thoughts on where I could aquire one?

For anyone trying this in 2022 this works if you have a 360 e as well, just pluck the old hard drive from either the FAT model or the or arcade and your good to go!

Another question: I've tried to put a m.2 NVME on the slot next the wifi card but the OS didn't showed the SSD, do you know the function for this slot? Thanks again!
I do believe that slot is for a Bluetooth or 4g card. I can't remember exactly it which one it was for.

You don't want to try fixing it yourself? It should be the same process shown in the video. If you'd like to discuss this send me an email, channel name at gmail. The part is running around $35 - $40 on eBay. Depending on your location shipping may be expensive, and I would have to include the shipping back in the price I charge for the repair. I would honestly recommend trying it out and if you start and feel like you don't want to continue, I can help you out.

I have Fios gigabit. Will this router give me solid speed on 2.4 and 5 ghz? I have about 8 devices. 1800 sq ft.
I'm not sure since I have mine setup in my garage and I get a low signal upstairs. To be fair, I'm in an older home with plaster walls so the signal would suck no matter what router I had out there. I first tested it in the home and had good speeds, but I don't have gigabit service.
@@616pcrepair No worries. I ended up getting Linksys MR7350 Mesh Router. Doing solid job so far.

You missed the important part of showing how the bottom cover comes off...everyone who is attempting this knows how to unplug the connector
I have a short video on removing the bottom cover. I did split videos on each item that can/would be removed by someone repairing the machine. :)

You can find the MK8 units on eBay. People sell them for $200+, and I saw a motherboard listed for $99 + shipping.

Do u need to connect it to another router for it 2 work because i was going to get this for my gaming room
It does need an internet connection, so you would need to connect it to a router. I have it hardwired to my Gateway as the wifi signal isn't strong enough for a stable connection.

I'm not sure on that. I've not tried that, what model do you have? I may have a spare power board.
How can I tell if the touchscreen is regular or dual touch? The model number on the laptop is CF-193H101FW and it needs a new digitizer.
Typically I look at the stylus pen to determine if it's passive or active. Passive will work with a plastic stylus pen, the active will work with the pen that has a button, if you hover an active panel the cursor will move without touching it. If you have a pen you can hopefully use that to look for a replacement panel for that MK6.

It's a MK8. I work with CF19s at work and those have 2 slots for RAM. The refurb CF19 I just bought has a camera and unfortunately it looks like the camera takes up 1 ram slot. That's pretty lame. I'm suspecting there's nothing I can do to add a second RAM stick.

I don't have an answer to your question. I have not had my hands on an mk8. Unfortunately it's been years since I've bought broken machines to fix. I want to get back into it but my full-time job doesn't allow for that free time. I'll see if I can find an mk8 at a reasonable price (broken) to try it.

I'm not sure that putting your hard drive on a new Xbox 360 will recover your account. I would suggest recovering it, but it my be difficult without the email.

Yes. There shouldn't be a problem. You can find them on Amazon in many different sizes.
Have you ever heard of peoples Xbox red ringing because they put a 500gb hard drive in their system?
Can't say that I have. I've heard of the systems having the red ring issue but not after installing a hard drive. Is this something that's happened to you?

@@chicosuave2966 gotcha. I just looked up the red light codes and there is a code for hardware failure, guess that could be it. Q4 (bottom right light) = hardware failure. Q1, Q3, and Q4 light up when a general hardware failure occurs.

Are you using an old drive from an Old Xbox 360, one made for the 360 slim from Amazon or eBay? Are you using the hard drive caddy or not?
How did you increase the internet speed from 12 to 212mbps
At the time I paid for a 300Mbps plan. Before installing this access point, the WiFi signal was weak in the garage, which got me the 12Mbps speed. Setting the access point in the garage the wifi signal was a lot stronger, which allows me to get closer to what I'm paying. Just recently upgraded to 600Mbps plan so I'll have to run another speed test out there.

I'm not sure if these will work well with an SSD. I have not tried that yet. I am on vacation until the new year and can't test the unit with an SSD. Once I return I can see about testing one.

@@helpdesk6917 I was able to use an SSD on my machine. I used a Corsair Force LS SATA 3. I loaded Windows Vista since that's the image I have for these machines. I recorded the process, if you'd like to see that I can upload it. Have a great day.

Old video, I know. I just ordered one of these second hand and wanted to know more about the inside of this machine. Very nice job here. I can asume because of the age of this video it was booting with the origional disk, no upgrades to SSD in 2013 right? So the speed of booting XP on that old disk is not to bad. Any idea what MK this machine was. Ooh, and love the sound of the lit closing, almost like a car door.
The machine in the video is a MK4. This was booting off a mechanical hard drive, no SSD the, though I wonder how it would perform. The clicking sound when closing the lid is very satisfying.
@@616pcrepair I am looking up video's now how to add a PATAtoSATA connector in the shockproof casing so i can connect a SSD in it, hope there is enough room. But first have to wait before it comes in, i just ordered the machine. But maybe the Mechanical disk makes a nice sound too? not sure if it is audible with this thick casing .
@@mrDarksand if memory serves me right, you'll be able to hear it a bit. I wish I still had one. These were machines I was fixing for my employer back in the day. Search IDE to SATA converter and you'll find one on Amazon for $8.99. Not sure how well it works.
