Kirkland Signature Three Piece Ball Review
I’ve been trying to find somewhere to put a steel shaft in my driver and I can’t find anywhere that will do it. Anyone have any suggestions?
Have you tried Golf Galaxy? Most of them will not carry steel shaft for driver. So the reasoning might actually be they don’t have any. If you buy the shaft online and take it in they should be able to do it. If your driver has an adjustable hosel adapter though it’s very easy to DIY.
@@thepittsburghgolfhack wow that was quick. Thank you so much for the advice, I will look into that. Did you ever post a video on how you did it? Or know of a video that shows it?
@@its_jimbooh_no6572 unfortunately I do not. There are many out there though if you search for it.
How do you make turns without hitting the bag??
The handle bars are U-shaped, and go under the bag. They never hit the bag. You’d be surprised at how little you actually need to turn the wheel due to leaning in as you turn.
My home course! Nothing beats it in PA
Thank you! Was trying to figure out the heel weight. Appreciated.
Arcadia Bluffs.
Going next week. Can’t wait. Arcadia Buffs was designed by Warren Henderson and Rick Smith.
Yoons...lol
🤦 'promo sm'
Not sure it's worth the price. Some quirky holes. Those are hills, not mountains.
Lol yes you would be correct. They are definitely hills. My apologies! It’s definitely a unique place.
This course looks great. Gonna have to check it out this spring!
Awesome! I played Royal Blue while we were there.
Almost every other review I've seen up against trackman/GC3 etc have had numbers virtually same?????
Over the years, i though about working here. I finally pulled through and got a position here in February 2023 and i have noticed alot of the things you have pointed out here. I took it upon myself to redo all 21 bunkers myself in my free time and am currently the person that changes the pins and tends to the greens (until we get more people that want to work) but over all did notice all this. I love seeing local folks review and have fun within Pittsburgh! Thank you for the video, you made my day!
@logancraig4234 kudos to you my friend for being able to give back to the game in that manner. I’m sure the regulars appreciate what you are doing, and I will have to make a trip out this year to check out those bunkers. Thanks for the kind words and for checking out my video and channel.
I know this vid is phigolf 1 and I have phigolf 2 but for some reason on the 'range' section I'm slicing everything even though my miss is the hook, but when I go on the 'course' my shots are back to normal. Any idea what's happening there?
I can’t speak to Phigolf 2, but honestly I run into this on all sims. Even on Trackman I have noticed that my shot dispersion looks much different on the range than when playing a round virtually. As weird as it seems sometimes I think it’s mental because we focus harder on trying to hit the target. Maybe it’s just me though. From a technical stance I don’t have an answer though.
I got the Phi Golf 2, the accuracy differs from application within the game, The WTC courses give me the right clubs for my ability, while the Phi Golf 2 courses I have to go 1 or 2 clubs up, (I'm doing reps for each bogey to try to find more than girly distance).
Can’t speak to Phigolf 2 but I sometimes see a difference. Sometimes you have to consider the lie and wind as that will make a difference too. I also think we swing different on the range vs. course. Technically I don’t know what would cause it though.
Try with Birdie ball and real clubs? Lets see that.. Phi golf be ok not the trackman though..
Did you use the settings app and change it from practice club to real club?
Yep, changed it to using real clubs. What you see is with the real club settings.
@@thepittsburghgolfhack I've tried it with my real clubs but not hitting balls and it seemed close to the practice club?
@@thepittsburghgolfhack I've got Phigolf the original! 🐊🇺🇸
kind of late but i had a question. i’m new to golf, me and my friends just go to the range and wanna hit the ball far lol. we bought some drivers but they felt cheap cuz they broke each time we played, we thought it was graphite shafts specifically, i ordered a steel RAM 10.5 driver from amazon, anyways, do u believe that the steel woll be way more durable? i want the driver to last forever
If you have broken multiple driver shafts, you most likely are either doing something wrong, or else those drivers were just extremely old. Lol….Even a steel shaft can break if you stress it. Steel shafts can rust over the years if not kept in a controlled environment. Graphite can get brittle over time also. So it really just all depends on how well you take care of them.
Not gunna lie, thats a catchy tune in the video lol
Haha thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey I am thinking of getting the Phigolf since I don't have the space for the Opti-golf in my house and the idea of being able to just swing throughout the winter will be nice. One question though, what adapter did you get for your Iphone to mirror your display? Thanks.
Hey thanks for checking out the video. The adapter I have is the Apple lightning cable to HDMI adapter. You connect that to your phone/tablet, and then an HDMI cable from the adapter to the TV. Some people do the screen mirroring, but for me there was too much of a lag. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
Such a beautiful course
The core colour is just a dye....It's the same ball.....it's just marketing....
it's ashame Costco decided to stop supporting Ukraine with blue/yellow, I will be boycotting Costco
The new ball has two arrows at the end of the line up mark
Hi, how easy it is to change the tag to a different club?
It’s very easy. The device has a stem that is designed to stick down in the hole at the end of your grips. You just pull it out of one club and stick it into the next.
Can you get one for each club?
Unfortunately no. The system looks at each sensor (tag) as a person.
To be honest I have not really seen any difference with the new ball. They still go into the trees and sand traps with alarming efficiency.
Hahaha join the club! Thanks for tuning in.
Awesome video new subscriber
Thank you for watching and subscribing. I’m itching to play it again!
Based on only driver?
they also raised the price about 25 percent.
It’s weird because the in-store price sometimes differs from the online price. I’ve bought them for $27.99 in some stores and seen prices in the $30’s in other stores as well as online. Not really sure why the fluctuation in prices.
The cover is much more durable
Because they changed the COLOR of the core doesn't translate to a change of MATERIAL.
That’s a very valid statement. What I was trying to convey was they didn’t just change the packaging. It’s definitely an entirely new batch of balls, but they seem to perform the same. So to your point, might be the same composition just different color pigments. Thanks for watching though.
Breathtaking course, but the real guesting is.... What did you shoot on that amazing course?
Lol that is the million dollar question. Not too terrible actually. I shot a 93 overall with the front being the toughest with a 51, but most of that came from trying to be a hero out of the rough. Once I learned that you aren’t getting out of the rough so easily, I was able to get it together and pull a 42 on the back. The wide fairways make playing this course much more enjoyable.
Just played Pheasant Ridge for the first time. Your assessment is very accurate. The price per round is on the steep side, but given the quality of the course, it is not unreasonable. Keeping the ball in play is essential as wayward shots can really punish you. I had avoided this course because so many warned me about blind shots. I did not find that to be the full story. It is a very hilly course, which results in some blind shots, but overall it was a good experience. Unlike some local courses, I did not find the fairways were cocked at such an angle that the ball would roll off the fairway if well struck. I will play it again. Nice review.
Thanks for the watch and validation of my review. Overall I enjoy playing this course. Agree on the price point but I’ve seen way worse prices for less quality. Glad you enjoyed it!
just played here on saturday, absolutely beautiful course
Still don’t understand how it actually works? Do you put it just in your line of the putt or what?!
Yep, you just put it in line with your putt line. If you have a putt with multiple breaks, you’d probably need to break the putt up into segments. Again, totally not legal in regular play, but perfect for learning how to read greens in practice.
Hope that they bring the yellow ball to the shelfs. Greetings from Mexico.
Hola! Not sure if they will venture into the colors or not, but they definitely would sell. Thanks for stopping by!
Freaking beautiful!!. I've got 7 courses in my town of Bella Vista Arkansas!
It's funny, I always thought these "training aids" were just gimmicks, but 2 days ago I found myself watching videos thinking "ok, I may actually try them" haha😂 Im.glad you're trying them because I can trust your review
So far so good. Should have a follow up video on this in a month or two.
Kirkland looking at titleist saying “come get us now!!”
Hahaha….David vs. Goliath! Love it!
Would have liked to see 7 iron and wedge comparisons….. the driver has been decent to good on the previous two versions, but the V.2 was just way too spiny on irons and wedges! Thanks for the review though!
Thanks foe that feedback and duly noted for the next version. I guess for me personally the biggest disparity between golf balls always manifests itself in my driver. Hence the reason I primarily focused on that, but could see how some would like to see that data. Thanks again for the comments.
The font on the new ball is a bit bolder than the ver 2.0 I’ve noticed. I like the Kirkland ball and think the brightness of the ball makes it stand out to the more off white color of others. Question is, who makes them for Kirkland? We know it’s not titlelist. Made in china. But by who???
Qingdao SM Parker is the company that now makes the Kirkland golf ball, the Kirkland golf ball used to be made by Nassau Golf which is the same company that has been making golf balls for taylormade for over 20, taylormade actually purchased nassau golf in 2021
@@ShaunY1988 is Qingdao owned by Taylormade or another major manufacturer? Just seems that they really have a great product. Hard to believe there isn’t some large corp behind the tech for this ball.
@treker34 and @shaunellis1082 interesting on both accounts. I did not know who they were made by, and did not notice the bolder font on the ones I had. Thanks for pointing both of these out.
Thanks for helping me decide to buy them
Glad I could help. Thanks for viewing.
I play here every time we come to the Outer Banks. Great course but the wind can be BRUTAL. I played in a 3 club wind last time I was out.
Haha yes that wind will get you. It may play short on the scorecard but that wind makes it play at least 300-500 yards longer. Absolutely love that course.
Did you select the real club option in the menu? How come your shape is so bad... you have an indoor range with trackman lol other CZcams- ers have have had much better and closer results
Why is my shape so bad? Because I’m a hack golfer not a pro! Lol……but yes I did select the real club option. So given my imperfect swing it should give you an idea of how accurate it is when you don’t fit the typical perfect swing.
@@thepittsburghgolfhack you're also a pretty big dude. The algorithm is probably based on someone shorter. Do the instruction say you need to align the tab in the end of the club with the face?
@@aarynjgeez man ur kinda rude
I played this course back during Covid. They had a scramble in the miring that they did not do a shot gun start for. That put my tee time back about 40mins then the round took forever. On the signature hole with the ghost tree 7 groups where stacked waiting to play. I really had a miserable experience. I do hope to go back again to give the course another chance. Thanks for posting the video.
That stinks because it is a really beautiful course. Hopefully you get a chance to play it again.
Good video. One of the best public courses in nj Whats your handicap?
Thanks, and I totally agree it’s a great course. I’m currently a 13.5 handicap.
My son played this course in high school matches. He says it’s his favorite course he’s ever played
It’s definitely one of the best in WV.
Good Review ... I have put the V-Steel 3 & 5 Steel Shafted fairways woods back in the bag (2007) and they performance very well. My brain feels more comfortable with steel shafted fairway wood and Irons.
Hahahahaha this has to be a prank. You saw the putt breaking to the right the first 2 times you putted
The Callaway xl looks too big for you.
