I'm a full time Dasher, so if you dash, listen up. Don't do this, especially if the customer is at work, there's video evidence. Going back and confronting the customer will probably get you deactivated aka fired. I had the same thing happen just a few months ago, took a big ol' Burger King order down the road to Arby's on my lunch dash. When I go to log in for my dinner dash, up pops a contract violation for "order not delivered." Of course i wanted to go chew that fat bitch out, instead i drove around for a bit, had a smoke, chilled out, thought it through. And i don't have the best track record when it comes to thinking things through, if i can do it so can you. Then i called Arby's corporate and reported her. Then i explained to Doordash what had actually happened. By the end of the night the CV was gone, and I've been to that Arby's a few times since then, haven't seen her. Point being, of course such a thing pisses you off, but don't let your anger, righteous though it may be, cost you your job. BTW that applies to pretty much any job.
