I don't care what anyone says Jim is the live action Eggman I've been waiting for he is just perfect honestly the best super villain casting ever. And omg I love these Sonic movies I was absolutely blown away by how accurate it was what I love is that it does it's own thing at the same time. There's a reason why Sonic works and succeeds while other video game adaptations fail. Plain and simple they stick to the source material and don't try to do ruin it. It's easily 10 times betrer than the last of us. TLOU is just overrated and didn't live up to the hype of the game because it tried too hard to copy it. Big difference with Sonic we don't know what's going to happen that's what makes it so exciting. TLOU is easily predictable and we know exactly what's going to happen. Thank God for this version of Sonic it made me feel like a kid again along with so much nostalgia it was just so heart warming to see this when it first came out. It really felt like a love letter to all Sonic fans and man I can't wait for more especially Shadow my favourite character.

I also thought the line “Ah confidence, a fool’s substitute for intelligence..” from first movie was something Eggman would say.

I feel like the similarities are most notable when he's adjusting his eggmobile after that missile strike in siberia. Somehow he really looks like classic eggman for a few seconds there.

So thats why it’s called forshadowing
