As i'm searching for a keyboard controller i've come across a few things such as features one may have over the other that are not mentioned during these unboxing videos. I notice some come with aftertouch;polyphonic or mono, zones or keyboard splits and pads that are configurable or being able to repeat a note with a repeat or a fill button. And then some are weighted, semi weighted or synth style. Just when you look at one unit that you like only to discover and in order to obtain some of these extra features you have to go a step up to the next level or purchase the top of the line model. I looked at the Nektar and Arturia models and this seems to be the case with these two brands. There are other brands with most of these features but you'll have to sacrifice aftertouch as most do not have this feature especially polyphonic aftertouch.

You are humble and insightful. Hearing the differences in software options really helped me.

you should do another video like this for mini keyboards but with more than 25 keys. a lot of people these days want small keyboards but with more than 25 keys to play some quick keys on the mpg, digitakt, portend tracker, octatrack,etc

I dig the key improvement but too bad that they killed the cool looks of the MKI. So much empty space and unnecessary complicated design features on the newer one. The first version was just perfect design wise. Also much more modern looking than it’s successor with that kinda 80s/90s style. 😢

can this setup work with no mixer? im trying to play two diferent usb midi keyboards using only one midi plus sound module but im still doubtful if it can work

Hello! Is it dangerous if the Keystep 37 is powered by DC 12V 1.5A together with the USB power supply from the computer? Has anyone tried? Normally with DC 12V it should be powered in standalone mode. BUT how else can you connect the controller with CV/Gate, with Midi DIN and with USB (for VSt, DAW) otherwise? I didn't really understand the adapter that Keystep comes with!

Funny the prices are inverted on the Oxygen and V49 in Europe. The Alesis V49 is around $130 and the M-Audio Oxygen is around $180.

This great, helping to convince me this is gonna be a great sound card for my iPad Pro. Not thinking about any streaming or recording. I only want more volume and sound quality 🙏

Please explain how you're using the studio one Daw and the rack and how you get it to record cuz the church that I'm installing this in wants to record on the dog during a live sermon and the church band playing and personas wasn't much help

I'm not sure why M-Audio went down from 5" BX5's to this 4.5" except for cost reduction. I refuse to buy anything less than 5".i have the bx5 d2 and would rather have the D3s.

Just got a Studio SL73 delivered this week. I love the feel. It’s a dream to play. Good to hear this. I have an 88 key but it’s a Roland. The Studio Logic is absolutely superior than the Roland, it’s a FP10. It is playable but the feel and output quality of sound is another level far above the Roland. Mostly been using sax and trumpet samples of Korg iM1 AUV3 App on iPad. The SL73 Puts out a much better result than the Roland by far. And the Aftertouch on SL73 is excellently playable, it brings out a superior sensitivity. I have 2 other keyboards with Aftertouch and this is the outstanding one of the 3. Roland is just a little cheaper and no Aftertouch. For the price the StudioLogic are way out on another level. A bit heavy but Roland’s are heavier and I like the formfactor more and also the 3 sticks rather than wheels seem better to use. The SL Studio is a dream to play compared and that is no exaggeration.

I actually thought about combining these for two separate purposes. Korg NanoKontrol for main DAW controls but MIDIMIX for EQ (Korg: Pan/Main Volume. MIDIMIX: Low/Mid/High/Dynamic Volume) in my Mixcraft DAW.

This is interface is great for recording midi instruments but as far as recording vocals the pre-amps are so low quality that your vocals will be full of unremovable Hiss !
