@leonardolar9078 sounds like me when I was taking Adderall. I couldn't get enough. There really isn't much more advice I can give than what my videos show except the sooner you stop the easier it will be and the less stress you will put on your body and brain. Sounds like you have a great support system - your mom. Quite before she has enough of the ups and downs. My family had enough and completely shut me out. Please - keep me updated. I hope you find the strength to stop.

Do you believe what lots of people say, "If you get high off of ADHD drugs, it means you don't need them, if you need them they just make you feel normal" ? I definitely thought I finally felt "normal", like, I had that feeling of "Oh! finally! this is what I've been missing all this time!" when I first took it, but that exactly what most people think the when they get the first taste of their drug of choice. I guess there's no way of knowing what it's like for others but it's really hard for me to imagine someone who doesn't get high off of the stimulant ADHD meds.

Yes, i used it to get high . instead of its actual purpose. I feel like when i had access to it , someone else should have been in charge of the pill bottle because i couldnt trust myself with it. Most i stayed up was four days straight. Later I graduated to meth. Haven't used since 2018. Still trying to get over the guilt. and the wounds I inflicted upon myself. Dieting and excercise helps. I love this video. Thank you. I’m booked into to see a dr to possibly get a script for my ADHD. But I am also someone who can abuse alcohol so of course I am nervous that I could be creating a new addiction. I have in my head that the medicine might help me slow down my alcohol addiction. Am I being delusional? Should I cancel that first meeting so I never even experience these drugs? I tell myself I won’t abuse it but i thought that with the booze as well.

I would be honest with the doctor. I'm afraid I can't give medical advice. I would caution you that adderal is very addictive and many people drink more with Adderall. It made me feel more anxious, at times, so I would look to a drink to take the edge off. Good luck to you.

I’m 37 and I’m still learning to be sensitive with myself. I’m a sort of counter dependent Stimulants make me go faster, do do. I think go go is less intimacy with myself. With stimulants I feel less vulnerable more confident.. but it’s not truth. Going slow, with less urgency is more intimate Perhaps stimulants is sort of a escape from oneself. Stimulants or not I need to practice allowing feelings, allowing uncertainty. Allowing a day that’s not high performance Surrender to reality to real life

14:25 Working in STEM, everything you said is true. At some point one has to ask if the money is worth the mental stress to the point of requiring these drugs. Is a 6 figure salary really worth it? Thanks for sharing your story.

16:40 What I've seen works isn't the thing that people want to hear. That they have to stop doing the thing that makes them stressed to the point of needing Adderall.

Very true. I was Iike a 30 year old baby after struggling with amphetamine addiction since age 11. I wish I knew to relax and take it s l o w... But happy to report that 6 years later, I've largely caught up, grown up and even found a healthy relationship. Believe it or not, I no longer regret the hell if the addiction because it led me to the life I have now. God is real, man.
