You dont know how lucky u are. I was missing one of my torque washers. I left off that guard. Never liked it. But when I dropped my wheel down it aked a 1/4 inch of fitting snug. I wailed on that thing with my 21oz carpenter hammer. I started at 8 am. I would get the brake side in, then the other side was off. This went all morning. Finallly I was about to give up and drive up to Richmond and swallow my pride. Im 73 wgat thehell. Well I got it all tgether. Its raining and Im glad. I m kind of afraid. Thepeople at lectric were NO GD HLP at all. They said take a pic of what you have and we will see about getting u the missing paarts. THEY SENT ME A MESSAGE....Go to a bike shop. Thanx a lot. I was one of the first people to believe in these people. I have a Version #1.0. It had been flat free for sevveral yrs. I got lucky on front. BTW My inner tube, had a patch on it! Imagine that. Lectric was so cheap they sold mr a used innertube. Im gonna buy another Ebike and ley my son have this. Guess who I wont buy from. Duhh
If I’m taking the wheel off, I’m replacing the tube completely. I’ll use patches for trailside emergencies to get me back to the car
Does it look like your leaf springs are flat? I also have 4 leaf and they look the same. Thinking about replacing them and going with more leafs.
I just got this system a couple of days ago. Fortunately, the travel trailer I bought was already prepped for it. Yes, it is an expensive system, but the more "eyes" the better. PS. That was a really good idea to pair the rear camera before you installed it. Thank you!
I like pulling my wheels then inspect the bearings as well as the brakes every fall. Not to mention repack and replace if the bearing shows wear. Or dry bearings making sure there is grease.
It’s always a great idea to perform an inspection at least annually. That way you can see the state they are in and won’t be surprised when you’re on the road where it’s least convenient. Thanks for watching!
I had a rapid leak. It was flat within a minute of filling it. I removed the valve stem and put 8 oz Flat Out in tube, filled it with air and it has held without losing pressure for over a month so far.
Hey Dan, I did my wheel bearings the other day. We are getting ready to take a cross country trip in our RV in the next couple weeks. I couldn't believe how nasty the old grease was that I pumped out. It was almost like 40 weight oil coming out. Very thin. I'm glad I did this. I could see a wheel bearing going out on our trip if I hadn't pumped in new grease. I did this about 2 years ago and drove the RV perhaps 5,000 miles. Again, couldn't believe how thin the old grease was coming out. So far doing this, I have never blown out a rear seal. I take my time pumping the grease in and keep spinning the wheel! Thanks for the video, Dan!!!
I’m glad the video helped. I found it gave me peace of mind when I changed it. Good luck on your travels. Thanks for watching!

None of those tools are required ! 😁 Leave the tire on, remove the all the air, break the bead, pull the tube out at the puncture point, sand the puncture point, apply glue, waiting 1 min. then apply patch. Add air, all done.😊
True. That is another way, and easier way if it is a simple pin hole in the tube. Thanks for watching!
Looks like you have a Ram 3500. What do you set the brake gain at? I have mine at 2.5.
So if it's not available via retail, why the review?
I still find a bunch of these patio smokers online for sale. Was hoping they would gain popularity and bring back another model that is compact. Thanks for Watching!!!
I do mine that way but I don’t start rotation till I see all new grease coming out all around the bearings and wiped out all the old , then rotate for several more pumps , also Dexter and the manual says not to use a power or air actuated grease gun to much pressure, that will blow out the seal manually is ok ! Good video.
I make sure I squeeze the trigger slowly and not rush things but I like to rotate as soon as possible to distribute the grease as much as possible. Thanks for watching!
Tire on the the wheel first then the inner tube make sure to position the valve on the hole and then the nut if there is no nut that’s okay just make sure the valve is thru the valve hole first and then insert the rest of the tube at least that’s what I always do. Enjoy ur e-bike their fun riding
Thanks for that great tip and thanks for watching!!
Just Wrong on So many levels. The Chain was never wrapped around the cassette before he took a Hammer to the Axle, which is why the axle wasn't fully seated into the Dropouts. The correction Wasn't Shown ! It's obvious he'd not done this before which makes this a Gr8 lesson on haw NOT to change a Fat Bike Tire. Too many mistakes.
I don't understand kilometers I'm American and only know miles per hour like every patriotic American should.
We have the same rig and so your video was very helpful during our installment since as you pointed out the MorRyde video sure made it look much easier ;) I agree it's a great product to cut down on movement and overall easy to install and works as advertised! Thanks again!
ENYBODY wanna buy mine it's got a flat back tire you can play to the video with 😆
We have 2 e-bikes and had been riding them for the last 7 years. Flat Out tire sealant has worked 100% better for us than Slime. I used Slime for a few years and still got leaks. Never ever had a lead with Flat Out sealant. Nice work on changed the rear tire. It's a real pain to pull the wheel off the rear. I just deflate, pull the tube out, fix or replace and back in business in under 20 minutes. Great video.
Thanks for that information. We definitely heard about Flat Out after we posted this video. Although we already used slime in our tires, we will try Flat Out from here on in. Thanks for watching!
It’s a nice experience to know how to change your own tube know how to use the tools and everything
@Laogai001 it can save time and money 💰. Thanks for watching!
Any one else cringing here?
As an Auto Mechanic, we use locktite with seal installation. This will keep it from blowing out.
Great tip! Thanks for watching.
That is a very good idea. Thank you for sharing your tip!
@garyp9906 thanks for watching!
Dexter recommends using this also.
What does the advanced settings do?
Dont do your bearing the lazy way, pull them apart, clean, inspect, grease and put back together. Check CZcams for Dexter Axle bearing video for the proper way to do it. If you pump in to much grease and bypass the rear seal you will contaminate the shoes and have no brakes.
So true. But that is the whole reason for the EZ Lube system, to make it easier for the non-mechanically inclined. Thanks for watching!
Why set wheel size to 22 when your tires are 20 inch. I think your stats would not be correct.
You’ll need to change it if you put on a different tire size on. Thanks for watching!
what no show of meat going in or out ?? Your video sucks
Great video
Thanks for watching!
Is there a reason why my throttle don't have any power?
I’m not sure. Has it always been like that since you got it?
It's brand new.I took it for a spin and tried the throttle and nothing.
@Yooper915 hmmm. That doesn’t sound right. I only have an 2.0. Not sure what model you have but you may need to go to Lectric’s website and download the manual for your model. You’ll want to keep that for future use anyway. If it doesn’t explain something there, then call customer support and they are really helpful if you can describe what’s going on. Sorry I don’t have a good answer for you. Let us know if you or they were able to figure it out.
Thank you for taking the mystery out of changing the back tire. I really appreciate your help!!!
Of course the back tire is the hardest one to fix. I hope my future punctures are in the front if I do have to have one. Thanks for watching!!
I'm a 70 year old new XP 3.0 owner... I'll never grow up. Excellent "real time" video presentation. Great info and enjoyed your presentation style, Thanks so much for sharing your time and expertise... very helpful! My best.
Thank you for the kind words. I enjoyed making that video. Hope you enjoy your 3.0! Thanks for watching!
At 30:08 the derailleur on the drive side was not put back on chain...then went to other side to put retaining nut on non-driveside axle... WHEN WAS THE CHAIN PUT BACK ON LOVE CASSETTE ? NEXT...he moves back to DRIVE side and the chain is back on the cassette... Mysteriously...then a minute later after he BEATS THE fastening nut with a HAMMER (never use a hammer on any bike part .or a screw driver on a tire needing removal.
thanks for the how too, I think I have a blown seal. I was coming back from Florida this week and were getting heavy rain and my TPMS system went off with a high temp warning. It was at 92f and the other 3 tires were at 62F. I pulled over and and inspected the rim and it was hot!! jacked the rig up to see if there was any play or restriction from the breaks.. everthing was fine. I pulled off the zert seal and I saw the bottom of the bearing was wet grease. So i think it was getting washed out for the rain. I pumped new grease back in there and she was fine for the rest of the trip. I will tho pull the rim off and inspect that seal.
Sounds like you had a scary experience. Glad you were able to get back on the road quickly enough even with those conditions. Hopefully you’ll get to take a good look at it and make sure it’s safe. Let us know how it turns out. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz thanks CR, will do
Harbor China has tools!!
Bad video!!! You put the tire on the bike wrong and you did not show them how to correct your mistake. Then you hit the threads on the rim with your hammer. You should never hit threads like that because it can ruin the threads and you may not be able to screw the screw back on. People will tear up there bike if they follow your directions. Sorry bro I know you tried, but you don’t know what you’re doing. To be honest with you, you never had to take the tire off in the first place. All you had to do was remove the staple and then add slim (I would use flat out) and air it up and ride the bike. 10 min and done.
Great Video. Appreciate the effort.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Dan, mark the top of the tire at 12 o'clock. then 2 pumps , then turn it 5 minutes to clockwise , 2 more pumps and keep at it until new grease fills outer bearing also. You need to turn it so you grease the inner bearing also. If you leave wheel still, it will only grease a small small portion of the inner bearing.. NICE WORK .. NICE TRICK FOR FELLOW RV'ERS
That’s awesome advice. Thanks for sharing. I’m sure it will help others. Thanks for watching!!
No problem, glad to help fellow RV'ers@@CompassRoadz
And we all know what happens when you overfill those... you blow out the back grease seal and all that nice grease lubes up your brake shoes/pads.
Definitely have to be careful to do the job correctly or it could get messy. Thanks for watching!
How do you avoid overfilling if you keep filling untill it comes out? This is my 1st year doing all this maintenance. TIA@@markweese2720
At the end of the video, Did anyone notice the dog at the back seat trying to imitate the way jack speaks🙂
when you say axles do you mean leaf springs? or was there actual points on the axle that needed to be greased that i might of missed.
It should be on the axle, at least in ours. There shouldn’t be any grease points on a leaf spring. Thanks for watching!
I'm glad you made the video and didn't try to edit any of your mistakes because we all have a first time at everything yes we could criticize you but it was very informational. Thanks
I appreciate your support and hope it helps in some way. Thanks for watching!
I can see walk mode definitely helping me get up my apartment staircases. ❤
It should help a bit. Hopefully you don’t have that many flights of stairs. Thanks for watching!
good Morning. I was told years ago it is better to pump only a few time to keep from blowing out the seal and just do it a few time depending on use. Yes I like the rest of your Vidio Jack
You’re right. It really should only take 2-3 short pumps for each. Thanks for watching!
And the wheel should be spun while doing it. The EZ-Lube axle only has one hole at the rear that the grease moves through
More expensive than Slime, but far better-working, are Flat-Out Sportsman or Muc Off (inner tube variant) leak sealants. With you finding and removing the wire, the procedure would have been then to remove the valve cores, add the sealant to the tubes, reinstall the cores, spin the wheels for a minute, then pump them back up. Done!
Thanks for sharing that information. It will definitely help us and others out. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video! My partner and I will be getting a GD Reflection 260RD in a few weeks, and we also have a Ram short bed: 2018 2500, but without the factory prep for 5th wheel. Looks like you also have a short bed, and you have the cup mounted in the forward/regular position on your GD pin box. Is your pin box a Turning Point, but locked out so that you can use the AUH? I realize that you don't have this setup anymore, but am very interested to know how it all worked for you. I'm concerned that we'll have to rotate the cup, giving us less cap/cab clearance. Our dealer (45 minutes away) is not great at communicating with us, so we've had a tough time getting information from them by phone. Thanks for any insights you have to share!
Thanks for reaching out. Yes, we have a short bed on our Ram. We used the cup in the forward position so the hitch would be farther back from the cab. At that point we can still get about 85-87 degree turns without touching the cab. If we need to reach that point I usually have Kevin spot me and I take it really slow. Our pin is not a turning point. Hopefully that answers your question. If I didn’t, please let me know. We hope you enjoy your new GD and make many wonderful memories with it. Thanks for watching!
Te ganaste un buen like hombre y un seguidor mas...graxias por la inf me fue muy útil
Thank you for watching and following. Let s know if you have any questions.
You need a yellow marker.
That would definitely be handy. Thanks for watching!
Ebike companies need to invent the spare tire for the ebike.
For beginners I recommend setting #10 to 1. Throttle only and no PAS. Once you’re confident turn on PAS 👍 (Setting #10 option 2)
Everyone should test it first before they try it out in traffic. The sudden jerk needs to get used to. Thanks for watching!
@@CompassRoadz that and being in PAS can cause havoc if you happen to pedal through a corner and it engages.
Thanks for the vid! Looks like 'Flat-out' is even better than Slime.
I haven’t tried Flat Out yet but will next time. Thanks for watching!
Next time you do this about the tire. Put a color green liner in the the tire against the tube so it won't get punctured.
Great idea. It will definitely make it stronger. Thanks for watching!
Try Tannus Armour, my friend. It's a bit pricy, but we'll be worth it. In my experience Slime is junk. If have to go that route us Flatout. It seems more fibrous.
Thanks for sharing that product. I’ve never heard of that but will look for it next time. Thanks for watching!
what happened to safety first? Single hand filming, no attention to the surrounding, all with no helmet. Just saying.
I know right. It’s almost like we are adults and don’t need to ask the public for permission. Just saying!
Looks like it’s the first time you’ve ever repaired a puncture on a bicycle , I’ve never seen a tube and tyre fitted onto a wheel in this manner before , it looked like real hard work , but everyone has their own best way , I didn’t see the sprocket go through the chain before you put it all back together but the edit showed it all ok , would be nice to show novices what to do and how not to make mistakes , Happy cycling
I’ll try to remember to mention any action I may have taken during editing if there was something I left out next time. I thought I had restarted at the place I had ended. Thanks for watching!
