What kept you from doing the bracing on this build that you did on your acoustasonic style?
Good question! I wasn't sure whether the aircraft plywood top was stable and stiff enough. But as it turned out, I could probably have done it without the bracing.

Grazie mille! Mio padre suona una Hohner 64 Chromonica M 280 C. Si tratta di un'armonica cromatica. Ha 88 anni e suona l'armonica da quando era bambino. Spero che vi divertiate a fare musica!

The design is beautfull with wrong material. You shouldn't use anything weaker structurally (less dense) than what is usually used for manufacturing instruments. Why not carbon fiber?

I'm guessing it began to buckle when it was strung, or is there another reason for the piece of roundstock that can be seen through the soundhole? I made a bass from a Jerry can and had to use a dowel to stop the can from collapsing under string tension. My next challenge is to try and build an acoustic bass from the fiber board back panel of an IKEA cupboard.
Well observed ;-) First I was afraid that the ceiling would sink in there. But I removed it again after a few weeks and everything is still stable.

The chord/voicing is labelled as D7 but, is actually Dm7 and the subsequent key change Ebm7 though you do state in your introductory commentary the correct chord/voicings however, that notwithstanding, both you and your dad do a really nice job with your arrangement ! It's my very favourite song arrangement and Bobby Darin's masterpiece 😊
