That sucks! Happened to my first round of basil this year. Hopefullyy next round goes better. Always trying new ways to keep the bugs away. Much luck
Ir does suck! I sprinkled some coffee grounds around the base of each plant. So far, so good. We shall see how long that last ugh. Sorry about your basil. Happy gardening!

Beautiful Space! It was great meeting you in Lowe's yesterday! Love your veggie garden! I went out this morning before the rain and found all of my baby veggies GONE! No Brussels! No Dino Kale! No parsley! My fellow inhabitants left the tomatoes, Okra, summer squash, green onions, arugula, leeks, and of course they didn't go after the root veggies-ginger, kohlrabi and they didn't go after the red malibar spinach or the herbs. I plan to secure the area and hope the roots are strong enough to put out new growth.

Run electric around it using polywire and an electric box and it can be done for under 300$. Coyotes racoons and fox will easily get over the fence and get the chickens.... At night owls will get them if they aren't locked up. Best of luck to you and your little farm 😊
Thank you! We lock them up at night and also have garden dogs. We recently purchased an electric fence so if things go sour we will use it! 🤗
