I wanted to find out why my DC50 wasnt cleaning as well as it should, so I took apart the Dual Cyclone unit at the top of the machine. I couldnt find any guides online on how to do this, so this video explains how I did it and shows the various parts. I forgot to mention, you need POSIDRIVE screw drivers for this. Also, when reassembling the unit, I mention the difficult to reach screws at the ...

where's all the people?
@@ebutuoy7190 it’s a large hotel with lots of places for people to go. It felt quiet during the day and never crowded. Restaurant would be busy in the evening though.
this is so cool, my parents talk about this ride all the time but i wasnt even born when it was running and i wish i coulve gone on it
Great hotel this!
Stayed here from 5th October for 1 week, as soon as we arrived & I opened balcony doors I realised it wasn't a sea view, which I paid for, changed room immediately, but although that was a better view of the harbour, we couldn't really see the sea, so really, you are paying extra for a harbour view, not sea view?. The beach was a good 25 minute walk away & very small, so no spare sunbeds unless you got there very early, now they didn't inform us of that at Jet 2, in 34° heat, that walk for 2 pensioners was to much, so although we love to go to the beach, we only went once for 3 hours, the food I would give 6 out of 10, sometimes the soup & chips were only warm, I did inform one chef about it. The hotel itself is lovely, although it takes time to know where your going, the heated pool was great & always spare sunbeds, bathroom with 2 sinks & separate toilet was great, we went to each of the entertainment nights at 9.30,bar staff were excellent, we had to be out of room at 12, but no panic & had a place to relax & shower if we wanted to, we wouldn't return though, we're beach lovers & I'm afraid that small beach was to far.
You must be unlucky. Been 3 times, been able to see all the way to the harbour where the Fred Olsen boat goes every time.
Going here in December, your video makes it look like we've made the right choice! Thank you!
Thank you. Yea it’s a really nice hotel very relaxing! Enjoy your holiday!
Ps watch my other video where I tour the room.
Saw it as well, thanks! @@GH_UK
Thanks for an interesting and enjoyable tour. This property looks like a good option for a stay in Lanzarote. Appreciate your work and have subscribed to the channel ❤️❤️❤️
That’s very kind thank you.
If you didn't know anything about rollercoasters, You would shit yourself looking at this!
I'm actually afraid it's not absorbing more vibration. It should shake more

Beautiful 😍, but probably everyone only speak French
Was lots of British there when I went
Thank you for the information! Extremely valuable.
Used to be another resavoir above this one I can remember as a child ... Plus the cast iron piping, still visible coal seams then the pudding stones further down So much history tucked away. Bran must be turning in his Twmp. ..... Then further along on the mountain above Henllys by the quarry there was another resavoir. Plus old mine shafts and other parts of our Cwmbran history that has flattened.
Cwmbran heritage that has been dissolved and ignored.
Still the only vid on dc50 cyclone strip.
Hi, I'm sure I just found your DC50, in a box, in bits, outside your house !! Lol. Well done on a Good instructional, and informative video. Dyson really dont like people, like you and me getting inside and fixing our own vacuum. Even the Dyson Engineers, dont go this far. They will just swap the Cyclone for a New one. (Warranty) Or just tell you your vacuum is beyond repair, (only blocked),, imagine labour cost of a Dyson engineer to do that,, or to change Brush Roll Motor. I have done loads of Dyson vacs over the years, but this is my first dc50. What a bloody farce. 1 T15 torx driver, 7 screws and everything was in bits,,, Then the Ball arrived and the World turned on its head. Lol. Big Thank You. Thumbs Up from Wales 😎👍 Great vid.
Love the way the bass guitarist just stands there.......then, OK I'll join in now!
Poor black hole but now we have The smiler 😵😵😵😵

Yes that’s fine thanks for asking
That's very useful but how do you take apart the roller head
That's another Nightmare lol. Doing mine now,,, all screws out,, it's still stuck. (Flimsy as hell). 4 screws.

Very helpful, thank you 👍
Great. You covered the parts missed by many strip downs.
It was moved to Furuvik Zoo, where it now operates as Rocket.
Thanks so much for making this video. It helped me disassemble the DC50. Upon reassembling, it was much louder than before. After some troubleshooting and rewatching your video, I realized I lost that black end piece on the spring, d’oh. Anyhow was able to fashion something with tin and foam for gasket and it seems to work now.
Thank you for this tutorial. I wasn't able to find the screws for the top layer but now I'll know where to look next time :-) For replacing the deep screws I find it helps to place the screw on the tip of the screwdriver with the driver pointing upwards, then lift the cyclone so that the screw stays in place. Hope that helps. Have a great day :-)
Did go on this once upon a time, must have been at least 30 years ago.
Looks an interesting place.
This ride is perfectly safe and that is one of the safety features it is meant to do that so that way the ride won't damage itself
Chickenskin we say in Holland Goosebumps
It’s meant to do that it’s all part of the coaster it has to vibrate so it wobbles (that’s why the bottom was wobbly)
They are mounted on shock absorbing mats. Without them the entire coaster would shake itself apart.
Spin ball is scary it shakes like mad and when the cart connects to the chairlift it pulls it out from the track
That is a design feature of the ride to keep the tension of the chain
I was there too, seem to remember it being a Sunday night. Quo never fail to deliver live. I do have one regret however, never got the phone number of the lady who I was talking to behind me 😔 .right up the back, she was lovely and I'm now divorced. Heyho, as quo sing- that's the way it goes.
Spin ball wizer does that
That looks cool!
So great. This Guys are the best.Status Quo vor ever.R.I.P.Rick
Excellent video which helped a lot. The rubber seal mention at 4:50 is indeed delicate and I used a minute dab of rubber cement during replacement. At 5:50 you mentioned a likely problem replacing the lid screws. I found that by inserting the screws first and applying a dab of the handy rubber cement the screws stayed in place long enough for me to locate the screw holes in the lid. As you say, tricky but doable. Finally at 6:40 you mentioned the little red bit that activates the dust release and for the life of me I can't seem to line it up. The Dyson works like new again (with the exception of the dust flap which will be another rainy day project) Thanks again.
Thanks for the comments glad the video was of help
god im never going on the smiler after seeing this-
This is normal. The wobble is caused when the support absorbs vibration. If it dosen't do this, it'll damage the coaster. So yeah. Do your research.
@@outbackthief7688 thank you!
This is NOT the support itself. This is a steel skin surrounding the support encasing a strong support structure inside. It may also be there for shock absorption to prevent damage to the coaster and limit downtime which is good for all :).
Do not worry, it shakes to absorb the pressure. Its normal thats why it has the rubber square
although it may be weird to look at, this is indeed normal, and the supports are designed this way in order to absorb vibration and pressure so it doesn't damage the ride.

Hi, I'm working on a video covering the history of The Black Hole, would you mind if I potentially use some of this footage? Full credit would be given. Thanks.
Yes that's fine, look forward to seeing the finished piece. Thanks for asking.
@@GH_UK Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video. I have dismantled it fully, before watching your video, however when putting it together i couldn't remember where that rubber goes as I thought was somewhere underneath mesh. You have clarified this for me, so I took 1 tier of cyclones off again and indeed found the exact place this needed to go. It wasn't that hard to put in place as you stated, so was very pleased. BTW. I didn't have those screwdrivers and managed to remove this with tiny flat ones. To access last set of screws to remove them as well as put together I have removed the middle plastic pipe, which is removable part, held by three clips. It was then much easier to remove those. Also when putting it back i first slided those screws into holes, which was easy enough with that plastic pipe off... Hope this will help someone. Thanks again!
Glad it was of help to you
I took apart an extensively used DC39 once the one with the single row of Cyclones (not the improved 2-tier or Cinetic) and I’m shocked it doesn’t really get anything stuck up inside the Cyclones. I wouldn’t recommend disassembling your Cyclones
Went when I was 16 - it rained so whizzed through the park going on everything at least 4x extremely short queues except for Black Hole - missed it all day but then everyone started to leave around 3.30 as it was also cold and miserable, went on this ride about 6x in a row - awesome memories
I love the gently, evocative music in this video. Thank you so much for sharing!
