I have an a7111 (considering upgrading to 1V) and unfortunately my versions of LR and PS won’t open the raw files, this is mainly because I am still on Win 7 and there are no updates for them, no worries, when all else failed I downloaded rawtherapee and it works fine.

Everywhere on CZcams people talk about overheating and getting extremely hot of the Sony A7IV during 4K recordings and even shutting down! My simple question, if you film in 1440p does this camera also overheat after filming for a long time? Since this A7IV is high on my wish list instead of the FX30 because of more possibilities for photos and better low light possibilities, I want to be able to make beautiful films during a performance! These stages are not fully lit and I wouldn't add extra because of the atmosphere. Unfortunately, there are usually only professionals who judge this camera and who have a computer that can process 4K images without difficulty! While afterwards they will render to 1440p so as not to make the file too large!

You should warn people (photographers), that your video is about video shooting. I had to catch myself before my eyes started rolling toward the back of my head. Camera companies should make separate stand alone photo OR Video cameras and quit making this hybrid stuff.

My A7 iv came with a charger, model nr. AC-UUE12, including two power connectors, one clunky 3-pin for UK and one of those small flat ones for EU.

I am not a video enthusiast, but for some reason the big hookah about the iv's focus and precision capabilities have been defeaning. From your experience, having worked with the Sony 7iv, what other photo advantages do you see in this camera over the d750 ?

Great videos! Thanks for putting in so much work and details other creators haven't mentioned. I'm a MFT Olympus user and am really yearning to upgrade to Full Frame. It seems to me the A7IV is my best option. I like the articulating LCD and that it has perhaps a sweet-spot for MP, and not too bad IBIS. Would you favor other camera bodies/systems if you were in my position: primarily taking pictures of reptiles (wide-angle close-ups and macro), often at night, as well as doing some time-lapses and general videos? It seems like the A7RIV and A9 are not as popular, or maybe just more specialized.

The real problem is that macbooks don't recognize usb 3.2 gen 2, that's the problem, you're not the only one

Thanks for sharing. You will need to use the USB cable that came with the camera. You will then have no issues.

Sony also didnt tell us you can use third party lenses with active steady shot on, but it didnt work so well like on sony lenses. The crop is bigger and the stabilisation poorer.

It's so sad. The guy has decent views and a lot of comments. But subscribers are low. A lot of people should consider subscribing to him as he is sharing valuable info. Personally I don't think the a7 definitely isn't an entry level full frame... These mk4s are very versatile for hybrid shooting! The a7C is the currently the entry!

Hello brother. I need help. So basically I was changing lenses and a little bit of spit got on my shutter that was covering the sensor on my A7IV, It evaporated but left a dark little smudge i can still see on the shutter. Images still come out fine. Is there a way to safely, properfly clean the shutter? Thank you .
