A flawless 24-50 would always be my choice. There's a huge difference between a boring 28mm and a dynamic 24mm. That lens flaring in direct sunlight is definitely a bummer, but it might just be a Sigma thing-it's always been like that. I remember having a Sigma 15-30 back in the day... shooting with a light source in the frame always gave you some very unpleasant flare.

Currently shooting with my Nikon Z8 and what I see that she prefers eyelashes instead of the eye itself with the Sigma art f/1.4 wide open (mounted on FTZii adapter). She is on the latest firmware. Any thoughts?

Tried squarespace many times over the years to try and get a simple album website available online without somebody stealing my photos, a blog and some contact information and I couldn't do it. All Squarespace templates are these convoluted complicated websites that are way too much. I ended up with the competition. I don't understand why all creators are pushing for squarespace. It's inferior in usefulness even if it looks good, it's hard to do whatever you need with it. And I work in IT, I webmaster many cpanel servers.

I think everyone will opt for full frame, but most people don't have the money for it. On top of that full frame has a large form factor. The bodies might be smaller that dslr but the lenses are huge. Then again depends largely on mobility. Portraits for sure full frame, but as you say they are now a days very close. Canon seems to be working on a single inch sensor that promises 24 stops of light! So does the future actually seem to be going smaller either than full frame. I tell you now if a camera brands bring out an inch sensor which potentially have 18 to 24 stops of light everyone will be ditching full frame. The problem with full frame is size and the tech on the processor to process that light to render 18 plus stops of light requires a very small sensor.

I think there's a subject tracking lock button. That should fix your front focusing issue.

Good morning, let me briefly share my experience with you. I have always been a user of Nikon cameras. These are reliable and well-built cameras, with an excellent screen and viewfinder. However, with the transition to mirrorless, I switched to Sony. Having also used the Nikon Z6II in a professional setting, I can say that the eye recognition autofocus and other features did not provide reliability for my work, and it must be admitted that it is not up to the competition. I am very satisfied with Sony, specifically with the Sony A7 IV and the R series... I will never go back! For me, it's simply a matter of equipment, meaning what I need is just reliability at work, quality, and a good feel.

which one has the least amount of focus breathing? I'm thinking about buying a 35mm for my Sony a7iv but It'll be more for video rather than photo, focus breathing is the thing I want to prevent the most

Thank you. Now have both these lenses and use the Sony A7RV and Canon EOS R5. I don’t know if the camera differences affect the results. Maybe I should compare the Sony FE 50/1.2 GM and Canon RF 50/1.2L or the Sony FE 135/1.8 GM and Canon RF 135/1.8L to help sort out the system I should commit to even though I currently own all these lenses and camera bodies. Not sure the best way to do these comparisons to really help me choose but I’m thinking I need to reduce the equipment I own although I do like them all😊. Take care.

i really don't know how many people record 15+min clips all the time. i mean even if you're making a movie, each shot is hardly 5minutes long. Usually just a few seconds haha. definitely not for long talking head shots, but it's quite an acceptable compromise considering it doesn't actually overheat when doing sequential 15min clips. unlike my studio's A7IV that just goes "sorry i'm hot, but i have not record limits, but wait for me to cool down pls as i give you my unlimited recording after i cool down thanks"

I agree 100% this is more a video lens, if they made a 35-70 or 35-125 F2-2.8 that's smaller than the Tamron 35-150, perhaps with Internal zoom like most 70-200s

The shutter is not mechanical but Nikon doesn't state anything about the endurance and wearing out so it is not unlimited. My guess here; if this is the replacement for D850 then it should be 0.5Millions shots 5-7 years without a problem && do you think here, is it a the right choice for someone no who has no lens (new system) or better go with Canon or even Sony

The current market where the X100V is almost the same price as a used Q, the choice is so easy! That's what drove me to get the Leica over risking getting scammed from all the flippers for both the V and the VI. The obvious quality between the 2 companies is also a dead giveaway when it comes to the premium price that Leica commands.

In reality, there was a full-frame version of the 18-35. I'm talking about the Sigma 24-35mm F2 Art. It used a similar optical design, though with a more limited focal range since the full-frame sensor is larger. Fun fact: if you mount the 18-35 on a full-frame camera, you can comfortably use the lens from about 24mm onwards without any vignetting :)

they already have 28-70 mm, this lens is more for events and run and gun situation and can be good for anything (wedding, clubs), 45 is good enough and can get close to the subject by moving close, Manny sounded so disappointed like what do you expect? 28-105 1.8?
