@@Hello-pl2qe The Poly D is essentially the same as Model D but with some cool additions, like an extra oscillator (giving you up to 4 note paraphony, so you can play chords) and a basic sequencer, plus hold note and arpeggiator functions. If you like the Model D, you are sure to like the Poly D. I'd like to get another Poly D one these days. I don't think any of the Behringer mono synths have patch memory, but their poly synths like the Deep Mind, Pro-800 and UB-Xa do.

The manual recommends the 10 mV/50 K ohm input for guitar - I'm pretty sure that's what I used here.

I was told by my Sweetwater rep that I was one of the first people to preorder it - got my order in within minutes of Behringer announcing it on Facebook. Usually Europe gets the initial shipments of Behringer gear, but I guess this time the USA got the first shipment.

It's a little darker than some other spring reverbs - but I might not have been emphasizing the drip with the way I had my amp set and by using a Les Paul. I'll have to try another version with my Strat running through a Fender-style amp.

Well, it’s based on a Grampian unit, not a Fender, so surf sounds are not what they’re going after. These are known for their overdrive circuit, which is something the Fenders don’t do.

I like it, though I'd say it's a character reverb and not something you'd necessarily use on everything (unless that's just your signature sound). It's not as bright as some spring verbs and has a very strong midrange that you might want to tame with an EQ. It gets crunchy when you push it hard - can get you cool fuzz tones on guitar and electric piano sounds. I haven't opened it up yet to see what tank they are using, so I'm not sure if it's the same one that they used in the 2600.

I opened up the case and took a peak but the tank is seated inside a black case that I feel confident taking apart to try find the model numbers. It's a tiny tank. Maybe 6" x 3"?

@@ChristopherGwinn Thats probably goid news! I doubt there’s a 6 inch tank in the 2600. I ask because i dislike the spring tank on the 2600. Its very very noisy. Like un-usable to me (at least without eq) wow though. Im excited for this actually. And again, for the price i think its super dope. I have the dual phase and think its so so. I will admit though im in the process of acquiring a proper 12v to see it with its highest headroom. I hold out my final judgement on that device until then. :)

@@djJustJay I have the Behr dual phase as well - haven't really spent much time with it, though. I didn't measure the tank when I had the 636 open - just estimating that it's roughly 6" x 3". It's hard to know for sure, as it's inside a black box that I didn't want to unwire and open up.

Sweetwater got a limited number in, but I guess that they all went out to those of us who preordered. If you want one, you should contact one of Behringer's big retail partners and get on the list for the next batch.

If you get the chance, watch the guitar version that I did.

You need something with a quick attack to emphasize that aspect to hear the drip. My Fender tank doesn’t get much drip with synth signals either.

@@jeanlejeune2288 I do a bit of that in my other video, where I ran a guitar through it.

Why are so many people concerned with drip on these reverb units? It’s not based on a Fender reverb unit, it’s modelled on the entirely different Grampian 636 unit, which was notably used in Reggae and dub, and also by guys like Pete Townshend for its overdrive sound. If you want something based on the sounds of Fender reverb units, just go look at Surfy Bear reverbs instead.

I think they watch lots of 60 cycle hum, or other reviewers where he talks about surf spring reverb emulations. Drip has been a thing in the surf community for a while though on forums. Its all fun. I actually have a fender reverb tank but this goes in a differnt direction that I really like. The Fender can get in the icepick tone sometimes and this seems more full range, maybe nicer for a mix than the fender, also get a nice over drive and crazy wet from what I can see/hear. @@darwinsaye

I don't know if the UB-Xa puts out enough volume to overload it - maybe I could try putting it into the guitar input.

Thank you! Yeah, I'm using Dragon Grips tape on the middle keys (testing them for a while before committing to putting them on more keys) - they work well for bends. The keys are definitely too slippery!

Thank you! I didn't take any notes on my settings but I had it set to be an MPE controller on the Osmose and likely had the stabilization set fairly high in the pressure settings. In the CS80 vst I just enabled MPE and used the stock settings.
