I made this video art installation for festival Art Of Život. Entire video is made in Unreal Engine 5. All the transformation is based only on the material, just controlled noise at the world position offset. The geometry is the 3d scan of former bank in my hometown.

    Nice trick! Note: for large meshes edges can dissapear sometimes - when you apply two sided material option problem is solved ;>

      There is several way how to do it: 1) Increase the Indirect Lighting Intensity on Direction light 2) or add Sky light, you can use skylight with custom hdri map, you can also control the color of the skylight 3) or you can play around with post process volume - color grading - shadows - (contrast, gamma, gain,...)

    That's absolutely amazing ! I have a question, are collision effective, meaning that before the object appears wit the effector you could walk through the space he takes ?

      Thank you! Yea it scales the whole actor with its collision. So once you scale the objects to zero, you can go through it.

      ​@justassets Oh that's awesome, then I have a follow up question, I want to use it in a different way. I want the effector to be light and when light touches an object, the object appears. Kind of like a sun that solidifies only what it touches and let's everything else be both invisible and without collision. Do you understand what I am saying and do you think if can be repurposed in this way ?

    This reminds me of As Above So Below, super cool as always. The usage of what I assume are planes in 2.00 is very subtle and carefully done to fade it out smoothly. Starting the 2.55 mark is my favorite. I can't imagine how tall is the Z axis that you have set up for this haha.

      Did you open the same project again? This color themes are stored in projects.

      @@justassets Yes, I opened the same project and they disappeared. I only use debug mode in rider to open projects though. That might have something to do with it.

      @@dongraparesh the key of the right projection is photo of facade you are projecting on. Than you should know the resolution of projectors you are going to use. After that you will use the photo of facade, straight horizontal and verticals and set it to the proper resolution. You can use it for 2d mask for some 2d effects. I am using the photo as a base for 3d modeling of the facade. Be sure you make the model in proper scale 1:1 to real size. When you have 3d model matching your photo you setup the camera. If you work a lot with 3d effects its good to place camera to the position of audition. The height of human eyes level cca 1,7m. You can use corner pin in after effects to make the render verticaly straight or some ue plugins for camera with autotilt. I this its called archviz camera. You make the final mapping to building with other software for example Resolume Arena. Hope it helps you:)

      Thank you! The noise is applied to WPO. The color of noise is offseting the vertex. Its kind of random but I manualy controlled the noise multiplier value to fit the music atmosphere.

      You mean to see the quads instead of triangles? You would need to change the mesh of your object. You can do it for example in Blender. The material is just rendering the model's exact mesh topology and polygons.

      It works the same for pathtracing. But I would recommend to use Movie Render Queue where you can set your proper resolution and render just 2 frames. You need to create sequencer first and setup your camera in there.

    You can also set the relative fallback error to 0 and that fixes it. Use it all the time for path tracing

    This CVar will also work - "r.Raytracing.Nanite.Mode 1". Thanks for doing this video specific to this problem. When I first encountered this issue it was very frustrating for me on how to fix it.
