So were Ty Cobb and a few others in the Hall. It's not the Hall of the Very Nice. It's about accomplishment on the field. Both of them deserve to be in. I may not like them but that's irrelevant if I'm being impartial on talent.

@@peterpellechia5985 Yeah I used to hold that position but I've changed my mind on it. The fact that MLB put Bowie Kuhn into the HOF after he shamelessly exploited the steroid era to get fans back in the seats changed my perspective. Kuhn exploited the home run race and pitching aces such as Clemens then turned around with false shocked surprise that they were doing steroids and slapped them down once they served his purpose. In short you can't tell the story of baseball without Bonds or Clemens. It is hypocrisy on MLBs part and nothing else. Plus both Bonds and Clemens were HOF bound before any steroid allegations were even hinted at.

I absolutely abhor Barry Bonds. But if you put his numbers up just based on his pre-juice days, he’s a hall of famed. Three MVP’s in four years in the early 90’s. Throw out the whole of his steroid era stats and the MVP’s alone make him a lock. And that’s from a Bonds hater.

Thome was traded to the Dodgers at the trade deadline. He signed with the Twins the NEXT year.
But they had an oppurtunity to bring him back and chose not to.
Dick Allen was an offensive legend. I think he's HOF-handicapped by his low games played level, which dials down his cumulative offensive totals. Also, I guess he wasn't that popular with the baseball writers. And it didn't help that he was a defensive liability. Still, the dude is way better than SO many of the players already inducted. What a beast.

Kenny Lofton Sammy Sosa and Nomar Garciaparra all played for the Cubs 2003-2005 season those were good memories. Sammy and Kenny were on the team when they were in the NLCS in 03 and Sammy and Nomar were on the Cubs in 2004-2005
