In late July, I met up with David Jackson for a day out paddling on the Ark. With flows still generally up, there was plenty of water to enjoy, and thanks to a clear and sunny day, it was a perfect day for paddling. This section of river is straight out of a dream, with several good rapids filling up the Fractions, and then giving way to the Miracle Mile, and several good rapids through the "middle" reaches of the Ark before Buena Vista.
We put on just below #6, and paddled all the way to the last takeout at Tunnel View CG, just before The Narrows, and flows were right around 800 cfs. Big thanks to David for making it happen!
