as a dane, i would absolutely love to see mads mikkelsen in a red dead movie, but not as arthur, or anyone particular in the gang. i think he could fit well as a smaller side character, within or out of the preexisting games. he would be a great face to see in the series, though i strongly doubt red dead will ever become a true television film or series.

I can imagine for the opening credits it could have the Van Der Linde gang members with their actors name on the side, They could be also doing something while the credits go by like Dutch running out of ammo and pistol whipping someone

Seriously? Look, I have played these games for hundreds of hours since the very first with John Marsden so I understand why they are going with Arthur. I also think Mikkelsen is a top-tier actor but...him as Arthur! Cmon! He doesn't even look like him, never mind the accent. There are so many great actors that are American &/or can do a convincing American accent (Although I am Brittish so I can only say I am personally convinced, I cannot speak for a real American) so why have they cast Mads? Who knows! Maybe it will be amazing, I have been wrong before but I am not holding my breath. I think all hopes for the John Marsden sequel are going to die with the bad casting for this film.

Turn this into a well scripted, complex series a la DARK with young stuntmen fitting arnie's shape and muscle size, lay deep fake animated images of Arnie's face over those of the actors and have the stunt choreoographers from the John Wick films do the action sequences. Make it a mini-movienseries like Mazters of Horror and let every episode be directed by a different legendary sci-fi director from Ridley Scott to Spielberg to Nolan to Garland.... I would absolutely pay for it.
