I wouldn’t walk that fast and tire myself out in the heat. Over all he probably saved like 30 minutes. But the stress on mind and body to do that everyday will catch up.

I’m a dispatcher in Wichita, KS and I’ve previously also dispatched in Houston, TX. The job can be stressful and boring at times but it gives you a bigger picture of what goes on throughout the day and it makes it easier to explain to drivers where they are lacking.

I just got hired. But I am really nervous and frustrated because I don’t understand how do you know what delivery goes first and how to organize that and how do you know what package is to be delivery next and so on? I don’t quit understand what bag I will need to grab the package from and how do I know what’s next is it like Uber eats or DoorDash where you drop off the package and have another one and it shows what package comes next idk how is it?

This is different from what we do. We just scan the carts and our load pops up. All bags in the order they "should" go and all overflow in the order they "should" be delivered. Is there any significance to scanning the bags individually though? I feel like for us if I was to go back and scan each individual bag it would say that I have those bags or whatever on me.

It’s pretty funny. They give the same workload now, but just added so many more bottlenecks. Seatbelt on, parking brake on, shut off vehicle. Full stop at stop signs. And probably no riding with side door open

I’ve been at my dsp since augest2023 and i get 17/20 bags with 30+ overflows and this set up won’t work, that side shelf is useless, everyone i see that use it their van is all out of sorts, my first bag is emptied and in the front floor and seat already, 2nd bag behind the passenger seat and then line the bags up bottom and top, over flows get marked on which bag it belongs to, I’ve never had a problem, but big tip DON’T USE THAT SIDE SHELF, it gets in the way.. if you need to stack your bags after using that first shelf…one thing i don’t understand is the warehouse putting 2 or 3 envelopes/packages in 1 bag when clearly your coukd have just put them in the bag before it out after it…i had to rescue one guy and his van looked like a tornado hit it cuz he was using the side shelf
