7:56 I was the last Apprentice Trimmer to Trim the 2 seats in the cab, (I had to pause it to see if they were the same seats, they are lol). Funny story with those seats!, good memories
A bit like the Puffing Billy in Victoria; its along way out of town. The Puffing Billy is reckoned to be worth around $50m per year in tourism.
Not many shots of the engine passing just cab type views.
Magnificent! 🤩
Bless you 3801 and all that care for you. I lived in Blackheath NSW for 27 years and it was always a marvelous treat to see you come roaring through our village. I have now retired to the Tasmanian NW Coast and truely miss the Emu Plains railway folk
awesome presentation..
A great little video i worked goods trains with that engine in the sixties at Enfield,
The Government needs to seize the assets at Dorrigo using the Heritage Act.
Poor 3801 we saw the tender on Saturday we passed it twice forwards and backwards journey on the 3001 with 3265 on the 18th of may 2024 and we looked in the public veiwing spot where the 3801 is we hope it can do The Newcastle Flyer this year we hope it gets fixed soon
Yeah i want do go on 3801 for the newcastle flyer
@@LeroysTransportVlogs😊yes!!!!
Poor 3801
FFS, a smoking ceremony? Unbelievable. Do you make an announcement on the train about respecting elders blah blah blah? We've had enough of that crap.
Bloody good work !!!
I think it will be a day those steam locomotives will not forget
Amazing editing job! Well done to the team at THNSW, State Transport and all those who contributed to the restoration of our state's grandest engine!
Hello sydnney Australia railway 🎉❤
At 0:19 you can see me
My favourite train is 3526
As per usual, no truth telling in this story. I say that, because Alex Claassens was in amongst it. Dumb loco driver who sold out parts of the RTBU.
Dose anyone know what happened to 3801 it haven’t when on tire yet in 2024 what happened?
I have a vedio of 1301
I can just envisage jmw turner standing on one 2:49 of the overpasses, catching in pencil, the steam, speed, smoke, of the competition between two examples of the industrial. revolution. Compare yourself, I recall he labelled his effort, "steam, speed, rain,"
Quick question about 3830 when will it run again since you announced it in 2016?
NSW Government need to protect and preserve Broadmeadow Roundhouse. Keep the blood sucking leaches / developer’s away!!!
They might make it into a museum
Great stuff THNSW. Thank you and all the people involved.
I wonder how much of those trains came from Rothbury
Why didn't they use Allellys? Hahaha. Will there be public access and where is it? The Dorrigo collection has been a schemozzle from the beginning. Hope more stuff can be put under cover for preservation and restoration.
A great piece of work but please respond to the other comments.

WOW, I couldn't believe all the "high rise building's" that have gone up in North Sydney!!!
A shame this has all closed down 😔
Yep, bloody local council ruining this
People have mentioned Dorrigo, if nothing else the locos and rolling stock have remained intact and not cut up. I don't wish to get into the political of Dorrigo but it's clear everyone it's not a museum , it has been the best part of 40 years out on the open and I thing there should be some g9vernment intervention to get it down to Chullora. It should all be under cover and cosmetically restored first and then maybe some will be brought back I to running condition. I think the goal should be like the national railway museum in York. This heritage is way to important to be left to rot away to rust.
Was that site once known as Railfleet Services annexed to Alstom?...
It's coming home, its coming home it's coming home, transport's coming home
This is coming along well. Did all the rollingstock from the Broadmeadow auction sell? If not, what'll happen to those items? Is there any mechanism to prevent them being scrapped? I didn't have the ability to transport anything so I couldn't make any bids (I'm a uni student), but I'd be distraught to find out if historic stock was scrapped and I did nothing- particularly the end platform cars; some had service lives of up to 80 years and date back to pre-Federation days and there were 5 being sold off.
Now, about the Dorrigo scrapyard…
SO what happens to Broadmeadow loco are they going to destroy it like the y did to Enfield loco ? just like labor did in the 1970S. EVEN WHEN IT WAS LISTED AS THE LARGEST LOCO DEPOT IN AUSTRALIA
Now what about AD 6042? She’s sitting rusted and alone in a field, to be honest it’s giving thomas and friends vibes!
AD6042, is that the one rusting away in a paddock at Forbes NSW? If so, that's owned by Keith up at Dorrigo NSW.
THNSW or TAHE don't own 6042. They can't do anything with it.
How close is this to where The Picnic Trains stables?
Not even close.
I hope that something can be done eventually about the extensvie stock of heritage items at Dorrigo.
Most them locos are pretty much dead
@@MSTV_2024 I'm forced to agree on that comment given how Dorrigo have somewhat wilfully let there collection rotting and decaying. Case in point 6042.
The collection is PRIVATELY OWNED. It takes money to restore them, that the owner doesn't have. The NSW taxpayers are funding this.
@@user-ot7ec4uc3g If he didn't have the money to preserve them or at least put a fucking cover over the locos then why did he buy them?
@@oldmate3152 -- Boys and their toys.
Can’t wait to see a train visit Colo Vale again
Buy the 3 Locos in Sydney’s west and restore those 3 locos back to service

When will the Dombarton link be finished?
Would be great to see a local steamer as part of Maitland Steamfest. Go for it.
Great to see this work being done ready for the extension to Colo Vale and hopefully one day to Mittagong.
That's so exciting, can't wait to visit again.
When will the line open to Colo Vale.
